Went in for a small split end trim and came out with a uneven choppy mess ! And now I had to cut my hair completely short to get rid of the layers I never asked for. Don’t let Kathy touch your hair!

Before last week I had been a loyal customer for years. That was until I got a haircut by Danny(the Asian guy). I’ve asked for the same haircut for the last 15 years and I have pretty short hair. As I tried to explain how I wanted my haircut, he was rude to begin with and whatever his technique was, it felt like he kept whacking my head with his comb! When he was done my left side was uneven compared to the right and he also took I divot out of the back of my head!!! I wanted out of the chair! You don’t want this guy to cut your hair!!!

A 12 year-old girl came in here and she was Hispanic and the Asian hairstylist did not cut her hair correctly but then started arguing with her that she told him to cut it that way! The rest of the staff was really good they took care of her and she has to come back at 4 o’clock but in the meantime the Asian hairstylist(male) kept coming back out and badgering the 12-year-old girl. The girl was with her mother who only spoke Spanish and had a 6 month baby with her. and I held the baby while she protected her daughter and spoke to the receptionist. The Asian hairstylist was very rude and aggressive

Today’s has really stepped up their game! I got my hair cut and colored by Anna Bartosz and she did an amazing job. She’s very meticulous and a true artist with hair. I’ve gotten lots of compliments and will definitely go back!

Paul is amazing! I have a super squirmy 2 year old who sobs, screams and fights the second he realizes he’s about to get a haircut. Paul expertly works around me holding him(straight jacket style) and gets his hair cut FAST. And not just a buzz cut, but a proper adorable haircut with a perfect fade and clean around the ears and neck. The second we’re done the tiny terror hops down, says thank you for the lollipop and talks about Paul and his buzzers(clippers) like he’s a hero for the next few hours. Tip — Paul only works Thurs, Fri and Sat. Call to make an appointment with him!

My toddler, 3 yo hates getting haircuts. To make things worse, most kid friendly salons in our home area can be pricy and poor in quality. We decided to give this place a shot and were pleasantly surprised. Our stylist, Anna quickly understood what we wanted and patiently executed against our vision. Our toddler was«all over the place», but Anna managed to work around his freq. head movements. In the end, she did a great job for $ 15! The place was spacious, modern and clean. One star is off since another stylist, who during 20 min we were there, managed to cut 3 men hair using solely clippers and showing very little imagination. So, if you’re looking for a decent haircut do your research and ask for a specific stylist like Anna?

Nice enough staff. And the gal who cut my husband’s hair used scissors, not a razor which generally is a good thing. Unfortunately in this case it wasn’t. My poor husband ended up looking like a patchy little hedgehog. I’m sure she tried her best, but we won’t be coming back. P. S. Mens haircuts at $ 20. Time to go over the hill to find another option!

I have been going to Today’s Haircuts for several months now and found Jessica to be great at what she does. She listens to what I want, which is generally a trim thinning out my thick hair and the time and price cannot be beat. Highly recommend Jessica whether by appointment or walk in if you can. You will not be disappointed.

TODAY I WASSHEARED. 9:15 Saturday I go in for a haircut not 1person waiting and this bruiser of a woman starts in with the clippers just jambing them into my head pushing down so hard I had to stop her thought my head was bleeding. And then back and fourth banging my head with the clippers. Truth of the matter is… I come here a lot, almost always get a bad haircut and or bad service, I expect that! Or I can spend my Saturday in traffic going over the hill. This haircut took six minutes and looks like it. My scalp is red and tender. I know but it’s a haircut. I was so angry I just paid and left. So once I cooled down I called. Paul answered, I asked to speak with a manager, he tells me one wont be here till Tuesday. Gave that some thought and called back later that day the nicest girl answers, I ask to speak to the manager she tells me, Paul will be back in an hour. So with that all I can do Unilocal.Call the cosmetology board let them know not one license is posted. If my dog groomer treated my dog like this this woman would be in jail. If I brought my kid in and she did this I would be in jail. I am an extremely tolerant person and can deal with a fair amount of pain. This was so far out of line. IN A NUTSHELL.. BADPAINFUL6MINHAIRCUTTHISISTHEPLACE!

In my experience Paul is the only stylist Id let cut my hair here, On me or my son. I went in to get my 10yr old son a haircut and a woman named Kathy«helped» us. He has curly thick hair that we requested get trimmed on top and faded on the back/sides, leaving it long on top(for curls). even showing a picture of the cut to the stylist. this woman then man handled his hair, insisted she knew what we wanted, interrupted or ignored us when we expressed concern for how short she was going. The cut ended in what was a generic short boys cut, WAY shorter than we requested. She cut off almost 8 months of intentional curl growth. We lost all his curls, and waisted our time. When we expressed that she did the exact opposite of what we wanted to both her and the receptionist she still had the gull to argue with us and insist it was a «good» haircut. Luckily Paul overheard the whole mess from beginning to end and didn’t charge us for the massacring of my sons hair and the sweet receptionist was equally sorry and receptive. Should I return, I will specifically request Paul or maybe try one of the other young ladies but I will NEVER let Kathy touch my sons hair EVER again. Awful. I’m only giving this place 3 stars because as a whole the shop is friendly, and well structured. If it depended solely on this specific experience Id say 1 star.

Today we took my 4year old in to get his hair cut. He has(had) blonde curly hair and around his ears and neck. my husband told the stylist what he always says«take a little off, leave the curls, and layer it». She basically did not listen to a thing he said and instead cut off all his hair and gave him a short to the head cut. The curls are gone, the shape of the cut is completely different to how he started. They gave him a «discount» and we paid $ 5 for his hair to be massacred. I would not recommend this salon any more as the stylists don’t listen and they better hope his curls grow back in.

I take my 2 yr old grandson here for his haircuts. Love this place! The employees are always so nice and they have always done a great job with this squirming, crying boy. Today was the first time he sat by himself and didn’t cry. Kathy cut his hair today and she was awesome.

My boys have been getting their haircut by Paul ever since they were little and had their first haircuts by him. He is fantastic and know exactly how to cut their hair. He used to cut hair in San Carlos then moved to HMB. Even though we live in Belmont we go to HMB for him. He even cuts my husbands hair who has hard to cut hair because it is coarse. For $ 20 you can’t go wrong! It’s $ 15 for kids under 7. We went to someone else but she wasn’t as good so always stick with Paul!

You have to ask for Paul, make an appointment. He’s fast, good and friendly. Does both my wife and I. He will not upsell you on anything, I beg my wife to get him to do a professional color on her hair and he always tells her to save the money and use the box at home. I don’t use anybody else there, but Paul rocks. He’s my man

Beware of shady business practices here!!! I brought my daughter in recently for a haircut. The woman did a good enough job, so in addition to the $ 30 charge, I gave her a $ 6 tip, all on a debit card. She asked me if I wanted a receipt, and I said no. Big mistake! I guess a 20 percent tip wasn’t good enough for this employee. When I checked my bank account today, I noticed a $ 40 charge from Today’s Haircuts. Since I don’t have a receipt, I can’t really dispute it. But that’s okay, because I have Unilocal,so I can tell the world the following: If you go here, pay CASHONLY so you don’t get ripped off! Me, I won’t ever be back.

Horrible!!! Lazy hairdressers if you can even call them that. They seemed bugged that you want your hair done and if you make a comment during your hair cut they will make some comment like your hair can’t that or it’ s too dry. It’s definately your fault. My hair wasn’t even washed before cutting and still charged full price. Hair all over counter tops and piled up in corners of the stations. Absolutely disgusting. I was the only person in the place maybe that was my sign to leave. THISPLACEIS A BIGNONO!!!

They open at 9, I went in at 9:10. The salon was completely empty except for the receptionist. I asked for a haircut and she told me that an appointment was coming in and asked if I could come back in 20 minutes. First off, you just opened ten minutes ago and you don’t have a hair dresser ready? It’s okay if you have an appointment, but to my understanding walk-ins are welcome and your appointment wasn’t there yet. Couldn’t you squeeze me in for a simple cut before the appointment? And even if I did have to wait a few minutes, don’t tell me to leave and come back. No, I am not coming back in 20 minutes. Bad customer service. This isn’t some upscale salon; it’s a freakin’ Today’s Haircuts where they probably do half-a$$ cuts anyways. Not a happy camper. I won’t be going back.

I’ve been using this place for a few years. Doesn’t really matter who I end up with… I just say«#3 on the sides and back, leave ¾ inch on top»…and amazingly enough, they do just that. No attempts at their own«touch», no suggestions… they just do it. The three places I tried before«todays haircuts» didn’t follow that basic premise. That’s why I moved on. I like.
