Irma has her studio in a bedroom within her home, which is located off a central street in a nice neighborhood in Half Moon Bay. I think she does an excellent job. She is caring, competent and very experienced. We appreciated her very much. Her husband, who sat with us while we waited, was also very nice. Thank you Irma.

It’s been a difficult task to find the right massage therapist, as I am particular about the people that work on my body. Irma was recommended to me by my Mother and I am so very thankful I made the call!
Irma is warm, caring, professional and able to understand my aches and pains descriptions when even sometimes I can’t make out the actual problem. I’ve never felt uncomfortable or worried that I would leave more hurt than when I walked in; Irma repeatedly checks in to make sure the pressure is good and not painful and she always makes me feel relaxed and at home.
Every time a friend asks if I have a recommendation, I provide Irma’s card and the knowledge that she is truly the best massage therapist on the Coastside– and very possibly in all of the Bay Area!

I went to Irma’s studio. It was very pleasant and a comfortable homey setting. Irma has a great vibe and is a very knowledgeable and skillful masseuse.

My husband and I planned a quick overnight stay this past weekend in half moon bay for our «babymoon» and I wanted to book a couples massage for when we arrived at our destination. I got in contact with Irma several months in advance after reading her amazing reviews online.
I wanted a pregnancy massage and my husband is VERY particular about his deep tissue massage and Irma appeared to specialize in both of those. She was great about getting back to me right away and seemed confident that she and a «partner» could provide us with exactly what we needed.
They came to our hotel, set up in our room and the second we walked in, it smelled like a spa, which we love! Irma performed my pregnancy massage and although I am normally very ticklish in several places, she helped me to breathe through it and I must say, it was the most relaxed I have ever been in a massage. She had the perfect technique to relieve the many aches and pains I am experiencing being 9 months pregnant.
My husband got a massage from the other masseuse and she was phenomenal, using techniques that he had never had performed on him before. We both felt incredibly relaxed throughout the entire experience.
Both ladies listened to our needs and we were very happy with our experience. We now want to make it a yearly tradition to go to half moon bay for an overnight trip and we will always book a massage with Irma and company :).

My wife found Irma on Unilocal when she was looking for a local massage therapist in HMB. I had been under a lot of stress and lots of hours at the computer had my neck and shoulders super tight. Irma was very friendly and approachable, and receptive to feedback and information before and during the session.
I need a massage therapist to start gentle and warm up my muscles before digging in, and she followed that lead and did a fantastic job. She was very in-​tune to how much pressure to use. She found tension in my legs I did not know about, and did exceptional work on under my shoulder blades. I really enjoyed the arm stretching methods she used to open up my neck and shoulders.
Her studio is very comfortable. The table was warm and very cozy, the music was quiet and relaxing, the oils and lotion were high quality and smelled wonderful.

Irma knows bodywork well. She has a lot of knowledge — and is indeed v personable. Most masseuses do not have the combination of intuition and formal training. She does. I hope she does not get too busy!

I just had another great massage from Irma today. She is very personable and I really enjoy the soothing therapeutic massage work that she does. Her studio in her home is very well kept and is clean and peaceful.

Irma is just the best, that’s all. She listens, feels your pain, and then just makes you feel so good! She can give many different types of massage, depending upon what you like, and she has a cozy studio in her home, or she can travel to your home. We love her!

I’ve been getting massages from Irma fairly regularly for several months. It’s very rare that I submit reviews of services I’ve received or products I’ve used. I’m writing this reveiw because of the exceptional quality of Irma’s massage therapy. She has the ability to know exactly where to focus her hands and fingers and with just the right amount of strength. This is particularly important to me as I’m recovering from recent shoulder surgery. Irma is consistently able to work on my shoulder in a way that eases tension, improves mobility and range of motion while never causing pain. But a massage from Irma is much more than post-​surgery recovery for me. After every visit with Irma I leave feeling intensely energized yet deeply relaxed and much more comfortable in my own body. Do yourself a favor and get a massage from Irma. You’ll definitly be glad you did.

Irma was right on time when she met me at the hotel where we are staying in Half Moon Bay. She was very good and used a variety of techniques to work some tight muscles. The massage was well-​worth it. I will call her again next time I am here.

I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a couple’s massage to kick off our romantic, relaxing weekend in Half Moon Bay. Surprisingly, few places seem to offer this service here, outside of the VERY pricey Ritz Carlton Spa.
While searching Unilocal and Google I found that the Mill Rose Inn bed and breakfast offers couple massages. I called them and since I was not a guest of the B & B I was given the number of their masseuse — Irma. Irma worked with me to find another available masseuse so that my boyfriend and I could have our side-​by-​side massage. After a fair amount of phone tag and a lot of work by Irma to make it happen, we got our side-​by-​side couple’s massage scheduled.
The second masseuse Irma found for us was the owner of the Primrose Day Spa, so our massage was at the Primrose. The spa itself was small but cute and quaint. It had hardwood floors and paneling and a very Victorian feel. The waiting room was small, but full of old plush furniture and mood-​appropriate lighting. There were none of the fancy extra amenities of some spas, such as a hot tub, but the feel of the place was calming and massage-​ready.
We were shown to the massage room, where we changed, as there is no changing room or shower area. The room was lowly lit and smelled lovely. The massage beds were warm and comfy and just right.
The massages themselves were just fantastic. I was massaged by Irma and my boyfriend by the owner of the Primrose. The massages were relaxing and they used wonderful essential oils. The masseuses used pressure-​point techniques to address our more tense areas. We were literally massaged from head to foot, and even received the none-​too-​common but oh so relaxing tush massage.
I forgot to mention we had arrived half an hour late, and the ladies were very accommodating. The price wes market rate, and Irma went above and beyond to accommodate us. I would definitely recommend Irma if you’re after a thorough and relaxing massage while in Half Moon Bay.
