I’ve been using them for years. Harish and his staff are outstanding. He has gone way beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion. They provide a level of personal service that you could never get from a big chain like CVS. Highly recommended if you want to give a non-​chain pharmacy a try.

HMB Pharmacy is the best! Great service! Unlike CVS, they don’t have inventory problems.
For a small pharmacy, they have an incredible selection of over the counter items… Items you won’t find at the big stores. Greeting cards with local photos, self-​flossing toothbrushes (that really work), compact/​fold up hair brush, homeopathic remedies… Yep, they’re all here!

Harish and his team always go the extra mile and really care about their customers. I have been going to them since I moved to the coast years ago and would never consider leaving them except I’m moving across country. If I find anyone half as good I will consider myself lucky.

I’ve been doing business with HMB Pharmacy (previous name Medicine Shoppe) since before Harish took over. He and the majority of his staff are the best! They remember customers names, you do not have to call ahead for most refills. For those that believe his prices are higher, consider this, have you stood in that long line at CVS, and while waiting you have to wander the aisles buying things you really don’t need, just to pass the time while you wait 45 min or more. 10 minutes is average wait if you just walk in without calling. The money you save on the prescriptions you end up spending on other items. Harish has the basics that a drugstore has. For the first time last week I had a rather terrible experience with one of his employees… truthfully I was so angry I decided to get my prescriptions through the mail via my insurance or Walgreens. I decided since Harish was not there I would leave him a message. Turns out the employee was wrong… he called me and apologized profusely AND I received a very lovely note. I was so impressed I never did transfer the prescriptions and plan to stay a loyal customer. He works with his customers and bends over backwards to make us happy. An added bonus he also can do compound prescriptions of which i take 4. Had to take one star off for the rude employee (not either of the Sisters). It’s a great hometown business!

Really have to love a place that’s made for small town like Half Moon Bay. A business like Half Moon Bay Pharmacy comes with customer service. Such as knowing you on a first name basis when you walk in the door. Despite being small their customer service seems quick and efficient. Even though I was in here for only a small thing, I would consider coming back here for my important needs in the future.

The pharmacists are very helpful and friendly. I like the feeling of going into the neighborhood pharmacy and being helped by someone who will remember me next time. Support this local business!

Best service! I have been going there for many years.

I have a friend who moved over the hill to the Peninsula, and she still drives all the way over to HMB to get her meds. Can’t say as I blame her. The people here couldn’t be nicer, more trustworthy or more efficient, and their concern for the customer is genuine. A model for how a small local business should be run. Highest recommendation.

Most of the time service is tip-​top. On busy days it’s a good idea to call to make certain they have made your script up already.
I have a lo of my prescriptions mailed to me, and once it is set up, it was an easy option.

Harish and his staff couldn’t be any friendlier. Prescriptions can be ready in 5 – 10 minutes without fail. Harish always remembers us by name and really knows his stuff. Highly recommend. Wish everyone on the coast would go here! Accurate and customer focused.

Never had better customer service and trust and rely on Harish to get my meds when I absolutely need them. Gee, thought I was the only one who they all knew by name!

I’m sorry that Lisa B had bad experiences but know those were the exceptions and not the rule with Harish and his staff.
Don’t know why anyone would go anywhere else for their pharmacy needs.

Been going here for years. Harish is helpful, and friendly. Knows me and my family by name. The ladies behind the counter are also top notch. (My only reservation is the young man behind the counter, doesn’t seem to have the same standard of service the others have.). Great place to take care of prescription needs. Highly recommended!

I don’t know what’s going on at this pharmacy. They used to be accurate all the time, well I’ve had problems 3 times. The first time they gave me the wrong medication, no apology, the second time I got some lady’s credit card receipt and two medication receipts so now I not only have her name, last four of her credit card and now what meds she takes, and third they made a mistake on my husband’s medication’s quantity. They don’t seem to have any type of quality control, I don’t know if they have a new pharmacist or clerk, they have lost a good customer, they are so friendly, I will say that about them but when it comes to medications you want to make sure your pharmacy is a reliable place.

Long overdue review of a great business. I recently moved to HMB and my new docctor recommended HMB pharmacy as a local small business. Not the most attractive place, but the service is OUTSTANDING. My company recently changed its phamacy benefit provider and HMB Pharmacy spent a lot of time to get the info that my company didn’t provide. I would give them six stars for truly outstanding effort.

Fast, trust-​worthy, consultative, professional service. It’s everything you need a pharmacy to be, but the big chains can’t offer.

Gotta agree with the raves. Love these guys and wish more service businesses were even half as good to their customers.

Simply the best pharmacy I have ever done business with. FAST service, walk in, they know me by name, tell them the prescription name that needs refilling and you usually will have it under 4 minutes. crazy fast. Try that CVS. AAAAAAAAAA+++++++++++++++

There’s a good chance you’ll never even speak to an actual pharmacist at a chain drug store. Harish knows his customers by name. This is the kind of experience that folks move to the Coastside for.
