This farm stand is adorable! It’s a «must stop» on your way to/from Kelly State Beach(just a few blocks away). They have a great selection of super fresh local, seasonal produce, as well as some other non-local/non-seasonal produce, fresh honey and a few dried items. It’s beautiful inside, shaded and the colors are vibrant! There’s an antique feel inside that really draws you in in. This«barn» produce stop is well worn(but clean and organized) with years of stories, history and LOVE put into it. My friend, her 5 year old son and I, stopped here on our way out of Half Moon Bay. The owner, Terri, and her lovely helper were the sweetest ladies ever! They were so welcoming! We scored some great produce deals, including my FAVORITE fresh picked that morning sweet English shelling peas. My friend scored all the essentials she needed to go home and make a fabulous dinner, as well as snack attacks for the car ride home. If you love fresh fruits and vegetables then give this place a try. It’s the cherry on top after your beach day or a fresh treat while you’re driving along the Coastside. EASYPARKING + additional parking across the street in their lot. Look for the sign. Also, NOCREDIT/DEBIT. Bring cash or a check ;)

Superrrr cute little produce market. They have quite a bit of produce. I bought a large peach from here, and it was soooooo goooood! Plus, I bought beach parking here for $ 5. Only a few blocks from Francis Beach and $ 5 cheaper than at the beach parking lot(plus the lot was full since my family and I got there around 1pm).

It’s a very very small market place. I was hoping to see a few more items.

After we read about the family farm in Weekend Sherpa we decided to check it out. I thought it was going to be more of a place where you could tour and see the whole farm but the main area was cute enough. My wife bought a bunch of different food and we loved it. The woman was friendly and gave us some tips to do in Half Moon Bay as well.

This is a super-cute, rustic barn filled with fresh produce from this local, family farm. We stopped there after a day at the beach and picked up some of the best artichokes I’ve ever had.(Seriously, we had them for dinner a few hours later, and immediately wished we would have bought more!) The produce was very fresh, the prices were fair, and the people working there were very friendly. If I lived in HMB I would totally make this place part of my routine. Check them out when you’re in town!

My mom discovered this place in the early 80s, when I was just a kid. Naturally, when I returned to the coastside as an adult, this was one of my first stops. The prices are always great and the produce is generous and fresh. If you come after 3, you can purchase the freshly gathered eggs.

After some sand sprinting at the beach, I stopped into this cute barn for some veggies. These guys are also at the Belmont Farmers Market on Sundays so I can swear by their quality and kindness from prior experience. Great prices and about as local as you can get. Skip Safeway and think local growers.

I’ve gone by here a squillion times on my way to my beach runs & bike rides… finally got a chance to stop in the other day. It’s like a little farmers’ market in a barn! They have a wide array of fruits and vegetables to peruse, as well as dried beans, sun-dried tomatoes, and some other stuff that appeared to be pickled something-or-other in jars(I didn’t look to see exactly what they are). The produce all appeared to be fresh. I got some nectarines and grapes because I’m a fruit freak. Also available are peaches, strawberries, beets, greens, eggplant, squash, potatoes, etc… you get the idea. Reasonable prices(although nectarines are cheaper at Safeway, oh well) and the people I spoke with were all very nice. I also got an impromptu lesson on how police dogs are trained to sniff out drugs. Hmmm yeah don’t ask. I don’t think they take credit cards; parking is either along the street or across the road in a lot that’s clearly marked for their customers.
