«The Lansdowne Inn: Under New Management! Now with more dank!» The Lansdowne Inn has been a neighborhood staple for decades, and I’ve only been in a couple times in the ten years I’ve lived up the street. Clearly popular among a devoted clientele, the place looks very run down both inside and out. The bar side is dimly lit, giving it a very claustrophobic feel, and the dining room is sparsely decorated and furnished in a style that would not be out of place in a church basement. They are open for breakfast on weekends, and ironically they get so much direct morning sun it makes the place uncomfortably bright whenever the door gets opened. My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a recent afternoon. We ordered a draft Boh($ 2) and Sam Adams Cold Snap($ 3), and the cheap drink prices are I’m sure one of the chief draws. Their happy hour prices are really good, and draft beers are offered in three sizes and priced accordingly. My wife ordered a BLT with a fried egg which came exactly as she wanted. I opted for a burger and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was hand-formed. It didn’t hold together very well and was pretty bland, but I have to give them credit for making it in-house. The new owners have expanded the parking lot and made some cosmetic changes outside, but they really need to focus some attention inside if they want to attract new customers. Maybe they’re happy with the old ones.

Went there after work, from 6 – 8 they have $ 2 domestic bottles, no bad. The bartender was busy, but also eating in front of bar partons. I worked many yeats in the food service industry and that was not ever allowed. I ordered a «homemade» dish and it was not, it was Sysco and a slice of rubber cheese. Trying to pay the tab was another adventure the bartender just leaves and goes to the dinningroom. Even regulars complained about this practice that happens quite a lot.

Well, I was already trashed when we arrived here. From what I remember, this is just another dive bar. Karaōke on Friday nights. Cheap beer and wine(I have the hangover to prove it). The staff was very tolerant of my drunken stupidity and at least warned us before attempting to kick me out. It has a local feel, pool tables the hubby enjoyed, and probably gets lots of business from the wedding venue down the street. That’s how we ended up here. 5 stars for the staff that care about their patrons. 1 star for ‘atmosphere and cleanliness’. It is what it is folks!

Nice, place for a group of friends to hang out at a Dive Bar. My fiancé LOVES this place and would rather sit there with an ice cold beer and watch a sports game. We have been here a handful of times, good bar food, good shrimp, avoid any main dishes such as the turkey dinner. I tried going healthy in a dive bar, what was I thinking?! Seen a mix of exciting things here. Locals are very friendly and want to talk to anyone! My fiancé would rate this place 5 stars.
