We took our Mom here for Mothers Day dinner. Two of us had the lobster bisque which was SALTY. The bread was served with a plate of dried herbs in oil and had a strong rosemary taste. We all ordered from the«specials» menu because the regular menu seemed limited. Mom ordered the catfish. She took one bite of the fish and immediately said it was way too SALTY. The asparagus was overcooked and wilted. Two of us had the New Orleans Shrimp with Andouille. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The advertisement on the restaurant website boasts fresh seafood flown in daily. Our shrimp was rubbery which usually indicates that it was either frozen or overcooked. It was also very SALTY. The Andouille sausage was cut up into a fine dice for some reason so was really just an addition to an unimpressive sauce all served over four scoops of over– SALTED mashed potatoes. New Orleans, you say? Come on, now. The common theme to the entire experience was SODIUMOVERLOAD! My suggestion would be to use fresh ingredients to enhance the flavor rather than using salt or sodium based products to doctor up bland food. Also, it would be nice to see more items from the rotisserie which seems to be the main draw here. Bottom line, please watch the sodium content of your food. If people are bringing this to your attention, there is most likely an issue here.

My husband and I had breakfast. They came to the table and my poached eggs in my benedict were solid hard. So we asked the waiter to correct this. 10 minutes later, my husband’s breakfast was cold and the obviously ticked off cook sent my eggs to me totally uncooked. I opened the yolk and all the slimey white rolled onto my plate. Evidently with him you get either hard or uncooked eggs. My husband asked to see the manager. He apologized and said he would be happy to not charge us for either breakfast as one was cold and the other wasn’t cooked properly. We said we didn’t complain for a free meal, but please talk to the cook about these issues. He assured us he would and that breakfast would still be on him. Well, the check came, full price, and we saw the manager just walking around. Because of how we were treated, I’m betting he didn’t speak to the disgruntled cook. Very disappointing experience. Management had a bad attitude as well. Maybe that’s why his cook does too.

Server was attentive and we we had a table by the fire, on a cold rainy Saturday night that was nice. We did not like the food as it was very salty to the point of being inedible. Salads and soup were good but we had to send the bread basket back due to us finding hairs in it. We noticed when we sat down that it was very easy to walk in and get a table for 6. The restaurant was extremely slow and quiet all night, now we know why. I don’t think we will be coming back due to the poor quality of the food.

Would give 2 but the Bloody Mary was pretty good !! Ordered the gyro. The gyro sauce, I discovered after I spread it all over my sandwich, had HORSERADISH in it !!! My BF ordered some fish off the menu I can’t remember which one but it was WAY too salty :(. We told the waiter and the manager came over and offered us a $ 25 gift certificate and took the fish off the menu. I think he offered me another gyro but by this time I was tired and the horse radish left a bad taste in my mouth. I think he should’ve comped the gyro too. We will try again this weekend w the gift certificate and I will report back. The horse radish gyro sauce was a mix up in the recipe and they threw the others out(I hope !).

Stopped here on the way south for breakfast(my favorite meal to eat out). We were headed to Franklin and didn’t see much in Franklin for breakfast/diners so we stopped on the way. I left fairly well impressed. I had corned beef hash, with eggs/hashbrowns and the pancakes instead of toast(wife had toast and we split). Wife had the Tuscan omelet. Corned beef hash was homemade as promised. Quite good. More corned beef then potatoes the way they should be. I ordered hash browns extra crispy and they came back cooked exactly extra crispy. Eggs also cooked just the way I ordered the. Pancakes were also very good. I tried the wife’s Tuscan omelet. Lots of flavor. The red potatoes were tasty but not done enough. Homemade toast would have been great, but it was not to be found. Toast was decent but served cold. Hashbrowns were frozen potatoes instead of fresh,(but I admit, still damn good.) Service was outstanding. Never wanted for hot coffee including getting coffee refilled by someone not our own waitress. I’d actually rank this place 4.5 stars but Unilocal doesn’t let you give ½ star. Good stuff, I’ll stop again when I’m in the area.

The service was quick and friendly. Our waiter was attentive but not over-bearing. We’d be thrilled to have him again. The food came out in a timely manner and was hot — not warm. The cost is great compared to the quality of food. We will definitely be back a 2nd. 3rd, 4th, etc time.

I’m honestly surprised by the negative reviews here, but I understand that experiences will vary depending on personal situations. I’ve been a huge fan for years and I like to come here at least once a month if the budget allows. The food and service has always been great, even in busy times, and ice come to know the owners son who really does listen to any concerns. That’s a five in my book, and I rarely give a place five stars. First of all is the easy to access location. It’s right on the corner of HWY100 and Edgerton so no matter what direction you are coming from, the traffic signal is your friend. There is also a very sizable parking lot that will always look full, but don’t let that fool you. It’s on a bit of a slope and spots are always available, and despite the amount of cars, there will be open tables, so come on in! There is a large bar area with tv’s and partial walls, so the noise stays contained. There are 3 distinct indoor dining areas and a large outdoor patio. The main room has booths and tables, as well as larger booths if you have a big group. To the left is a rarely used atrium filled with tables, and to the right is the atrium that faces HWY100 and is lined with booths. Anywhere you sit will be comfortable. I prefer the front atrium so I can watch the traffic zip by. It’s also a little quieter too. The breakfast is available until 3 and I believe happy hour starts at four. Every evening there are specials in addition to the main menu. Some of the specials tend to be slightly more expensive but they have different ingredients and preparations. If you sign up for emails, you will receive coupons for a free meal on birthdays or anniversaries.

A Greek restaurant that pretends not to be a Greek restaurant. They used to have the best hot wings around but they took them off the appetizer menu. Why would you take one of the most popular food items in America off your menu? How many flaming orders of saganaki do you sell?

Have been going here with my wife as our special place for the last five years. Always 5 star food and service, just loved it above all other places. The owner has clearly fallen on dire times as of late… the wife and I went for our quarterly special date night only to find that the menu had been chopped to pieces. Regardless we ordered from their slimmed down menu, still expecting excellence, only to be met with the disappointing bagged/canned soup, bagged/canned veggies and our mashed potatoes were clearly boxed mush. My wife’s filet mignon was a pre-frozen piece of crap, can’t speak to the rest of her food as she couldn’t finish it. The crab stuffed mushroom tasted like a Tunas frozen butt-hole. My 30 $ new York strip appeared to be also frozen, I ate less than a quarter of the meal, it was barely Applebee’s worthy. I only say this in the hope that the owner sees this and backtracks on the obvious cutbacks. Open flame has been my jam for years, the food I didn’t finish was so dissapionting, the menu has been similarly dumbed down. I want to give you my money open flame, but not if I can get the same food at the B’s for a quarter the price. R.I.P OPENFLAME!!!

Food was really good, mimosas are overpriced for the small amount you get, service was ok, but we had to wait a while to get our check

It was a very comfortable evening, so we wanted to dine outside. Open Flame seemed like the perfect place. We were seated quickly, and the patio was pleasant. Our server was professional and quick with our needs. The problem we had though was with the food. My wife’s cod was overcooked and rubbery. My daughter got the grouper over garlic pasta. The grouper was a little dry and the pasta was literally taken from the water and put on the plate. It only that plain pasta taste. I had the fried perch which was ok. It wasn’t all bad though. The fried calamari appetizer was good… but it wasn’t enough to get us to come back again.

Used to be much better, not sure what’s going on to be honest. The service was S… L…O…W. Seven people and 30 minutes to order. Then when they finally did arrive, two entrées — from their«specials» menu — we had to send back as we found paper/plastic on both! Perhaps that’s the«special» recipe. Eventually got the manager’s attention. Made good on the two plastic entrées but nothing else, not even a follow up visit. One the plus side, generous wine pours. This will help you swallow all the paper and plastic swimming in the food.

Typical chain restaurant quality food. I wouldn’t recommend if your looking for fresh healthy cooking. I had the fried cod and it was quite bland, my guess by its uniformity was that it’s flash frozen precut packaged fish.

This is one of those places that I have looked it for a long time and I finally stopped by. I’m running out of early breakfast places to try, 6 – 7 am opening and out by 8 am so i landed here. I didn’t know what to expect. When I walked in I was greeted with a nice bar and as I looked around the whole place in general was very nice looking with rich wood, tile and stone. This was no dump or dive at all and a really cool place to have a meal. The place was starting fill up fast so they must be doing something right. The he service was great and I must have had at least 7 stops to see haw everything was. How does everything taste was a theme from the employees. I ordered the country skillet with sour dough toast. My country skillet had seasoned baby red potatoes, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, ham, sausage, bacon topped with cheddar and Monterrey jack cheese. Two eggs sunny side up with sour dough toast, see my pictures. As I had the first couple bites I noticed that the skillet was seasoned very well and it was very very tasty. I think they put crack in the food. The food was fresh and the most tastiest breakfast ever. I even ate past the full mark because it was so tasty and still took some home. This was one great breakfast place. I will post pictures. Over all this was the tastiest break place I have had found and the service was great. How could I have waited so long to get here. I would recommend this as a must for breakfast and I can’t wait to go back.

We hadn’t been to Open Flame in many years because of the poor food and service we received after trying it a few times when they opened. We went there the weekend after Easter and had a nice experience so we thought we’d try it again on Mother’s Day. On Mother’s Day we had the worst experience we’ve had in a restaurant in a LONG time. VERY rude waitress(who was getting her 18% for a big party so she didn’t care), missing food, small portions, and undercooked meat. The manager was nice but could not make up for the snarling snippy waitress we had. We had to talk to the manager twice and it was uncomfortable having so much to complain about. We will never go back.

To start, we went unknowingly on a packers game night. The place was empty, minus the bar, which was not loud at all. Service was prompt. Water within seconds of asking for it. A lot of specials to choose from and the menu had a wide variety of meals. We ordered what I called fries mozzarella with marinara and spinach. DELICIOUS! We each had a side salad. One with ranch and the other with greek. No complaints. My boyfriend had a 6oz parmesan filet mignon with fried mac and cheese balls and bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp. He killed it!!! I chose the breaded jumbo shrimp, sautéed veggies and baked potato. I ate till I could eat anymore! So good! We were pleasantly surprised with the price along with the food! We will be returning very soon!
