Aldi

Another day, but not another Aldi. I did not expect this one to be as nice as the one in St. Cloud (FL), but it far surpasses it any day of the week. For starters as well as in contrast, it is stocked to the hilt almost every visit, and with the freshest and most attractive produce as well as specialty items (some unique to this locale). And it is clean. The checkout folks work at breakneck speed (one perilously so!) and the manager seems very nice. Carts and the area below them always appear washed. (Remember it takes a quarter and to byob [bring your own bags].) Ample parking here and in the adjacent Walgreen’s, which also carries ice incase you need it for a long (er) trip home. (BTW, this Walgreen’s tops any other I’ve ever been to, as they have the most concerned and kindest staff, are immaculate, and carry a huge selection of products, many not found in other Walgreen’s.) Long ago I was told that this Aldi is their showplace because it’s nearest to their headquarters. However, I can give the same review to their Clermont store. If you go to the St. Cloud one, it’s a bit disappointing.
