Went to a workshop of Ryan’s upcountry. Have heard of his other ones around the island in the past, so glad I was able to make it to this one. Tons of little kids were in attendance, made the workshop vibe fun and very hands-​on. We learned how to select and open all ages of coconuts. Super empowering especially if you are a coconut lover like myself who always buys packaged coconut products even in a tropical place like Hawaii. Would definitely attend another, I’ve been dreaming of the coconut milk we made together as a class and got to take home!

I attended a workshop on Maui a few weeks ago. It was incredible how much there is to learn about the coconut tree. We opened and drank so many coconuts, made the most insane coconut milk and even made coconut ice cream! Definitely an experience I’ll never forget. If you’re on Maui, make sure to find one of the coconut workshops! Coconut information is a project I find very fun and inspiring.
