Awesome stadium with a «hometown» feel. Hotdogs were cooked very well on a real grill, they had a nice selection of about 6 or 7 different beers(with 1 or 2 craft brews available), popcorn was good, and the pretzels were average. The peanuts and cracker jacks salesman was very entertaining and did a lot to keep the crowd going. Folks were nice and the whole experience was perfect for that American«small town» baseball feel. Loved it! My only 2 complaints were that the line at one of the food vendors that had popcorn seemed to take forever, and they don’t serve fountain sodas. Overall, though, an experience I would highly recommend. I will definitely be back!

The fact that Municipal Stadium, home of the Hagerstown Suns, doesn’t have any reviews yet kind of surprises me. But then again, it kind of doesn’t. I did find another Unilocal listing for Hagerstown Suns Baseball Club that currently has a total of 8 reviews, mostly favorable which does surprise me. I respect the history of the place which if I hadn’t known before arriving I would have learned by seeing pictures and reading the captions around the park. I wasn’t all that impressed with the concessions but the beer garden and deck area were promising. Even so, it’s clearly been years since the place has seen renovations. Overall the place seems pretty run down. One thing Municipal Stadium has going for it is the free parking lot. So that’s something you don’t have to worry about. On the other hand, the bathrooms are not air conditioned. I think I’d rather pay for parking and have an air conditioned bathroom when you’re talking the middle of summer. The small crowd combined with a humid rainy day did not help. I might be willing to give this place another try, but it will be the team that draws me in, not the venue.
