D and H Paving

So I am looking out my window one fine morning and notice a big truck in front of our drive way with a trailer behind it. They offload some sort of machinery and I see that they are re-​paving our neighbor’s driveway. I walk away… and that is the last our mailbox will ever be whole.
About 10 minutes later I walk past the window again and this time I see one of the D and H Paving workers kneeling in front of our mailbox which happens to be laying on the grass in a couple of pieces. Apparently the man is trying to put it back together. He eventually does, but never once does he come up to the house to say something like, «Oh, by the way, I accidentally destroyed your mailbox and screwed the pieces back together.» No, I watch as he puts it back together (as best as possible) and then carries on to his own work a few drive ways down. I later walked out to look at the mailbox and noticed a new gash in the wood and some screws in the side.
I understand mistakes happen. But when they do, at least have the courtesy to own up to them and let us know. Don’t try to put it back together and then walk off like nothing every happened.

These jerks paved three different driveways for me. All three had problems. When I finally got one of them on the phone I did manage to have them meet me at the site. They assured me two years ago they would correct the problems. They have yet to show up.

We had the same issue. The sealed our long driveway, all the time making comments like «Oh that homeowner c**p that you buy at Home depot is junk» «Our product better.»
Well a month after the job a fair sized portion of the sealer WASHED OFF. I had them come back which they did after about 6 calls and a month.
They took NO responsibility — kind of a «stuff happens». They added another layer to the portion that had washed off.
Now three months later there are other places washing off. I’ll go back to doing it myself or will look for another company…
