Beer is awesome! Big Bad Bunny was amazingly good! We bought a 64 oz. growler of that! However, there were very long lines, not quite enough people working there and they are open only to fill growlers. Don’t come here and expect to hang out or get a flight/pint. Just a small warehouse area with a couple desks and some good beer.

these guys are very disorganized, we waited 45 minutes for them to fill our bottles and when we asked if they had forgotten our order they said that they were now out of the beer we wanted, we ordered another kind and when they finally filled it the beer was full of foam and the guy said we have to wait for the other guy to pay. the other guy was busy pouring beer for his wife who had their kids running around the brewery and he was more interested in talking to his wife and pouring her beer than taking our money, after being there 50 minutes I asked if I could pay so I could leave and he said I dont have to buy the beer if I don’t like waiting. really? so we walked out and will never go to this place again. another customer had also walked out tired of waiting. disorganized snd rude and the beer is not worth it. serve your customers and tell your wife to take the kids to the park to play!

Love theses brews. Last year I bought the Yeah Nah, Brown double IPA and it was stellar! This year I got the pale ale and the double IPA. Highly recommend if you like craft brews made with love. Bring your own growler to fill or buy one there for only $ 5. Can’t wait for these guys to be in our local pubs!

Beer was very good however ambience of the place was very weak. Also, it took a long time for growler fills to the point that people were walking now away.

This is a nice hidden gem tucked away along the Route 9 corridor. I’ve been several times for growler fills over the past 6 months or so, and I’m USUALLY pleased with the brews. They seem to specialize mostly in IPAs and other Pale Ales, which are my go-to’s, so they had me sucked in almost immediately. Let me just say this… When they are on, they are ON! Seriously comparable to the best in the area(NEBCO, Tree House, Beer’d, etc), but when they are off, they are OFF! Just last weekend we picked up a few growlers for the NCAA tourney games. The Coalesce DIPA was absolutely phenomenal, but the Our Daily Bread IPA(usually one of my favorites) was completely undrinkable. Tasted like it had Ajax in it or something… and THAT is the current issue with Steady Habit. They are still relatively new, but I truly hope they continue fine-tuning their product for consistency. Until the kinks are worked out, I’m not sure I can justify going back and dropping more $$(the growlers are NOT cheap either). I realize this may come across a bit negative, but these guys absolutely have the potential to be great! I look forward to the day where they become one of my favorite brewery destinations, but unfortunately, we’re not quite there yet.

Cool crew of down to earth dudes run this small craft, and I mean CRAFT, brewery. Smaller volumes, but huge in flavor. Today(2÷12÷2016) I went for a «quick» lunch growler fill of their new Mango/Passion Fruit Mosaic IPA«Sparkle Boots» release, which by is FANTABULOUS!!! My first experience at a growler fill. I traveled with a veteran Growler and was encouraged to take an early lunch to avoid the expected line at noon. Well this happened to be one of the most frigid days of the year, thus far. We arrived at 11:30, counting heads, we were 17&18 and by noon the line grew to approximately another 50 – 75 behind us. Fortunately, the brewery floor allowed for a curving serpentine line to shield us from elements. Upon entering the door, my nostrils immediately sensed the Mosaic Mist of Mango /Passion Fruit. Anticipation now at a peak! But wait, the taps were not co-operating?! We waited patiently watching the foam flowing into pitchers and over the edge of the counter onto the floor(NOOOO!!!). Time ticked away while the«brew dudes» calmly and masterfully finessed the taps to a perfect flow. The line was now moving! Finally, it was #18’s turn. I took my two 750ml, two 32oz, one 64oz bottle/growlers on the counter. Slowly comments from other Growler veterans began to increase regarding my CLEARGLASS64JUG. «I haven’t seen one of these in the long time.» «Did you buy that at Walmart?» «No, I’ve seen those at Kohls.» «You better drink that growler first.» «Don’t let that jug see the light of day» and so on. It was entertaining, but I had my moment when I said the engraved«L» in my clear glass didn’t represent my last initial while lifting a finger«L» to my forehead. Despite this all enhanced the experience and well worth the price. Speaking of price the fills were worth every dollar spent and comparable to other craft breweries. There seems to nothing better than a fresh fill and sharing with others.

One of the benefits of the recent craft beer explosion is that it gives us an opportunity to literally place our finger anywhere on a map and find a new beer experience. beersperience — is that a thing? yes, I think it is. The brewery is in the back of a development but the sign on the street is well placed so most of you won’t get lost getting there. As Anne said — it’s a bare bones atmosphere but inside you’ll find a handful of people that are doing what they love and folks hoping to get a growler of whatever’s on tap. The day we arrived they had just run out of an IPA but they had their first anniversary table beer. I’m not a huge floral beer fan but this did make me crave warm weather to enjoy this refreshing libation. They do have a twitter handle @steadyhabitbrew that they are very active on so if you have questions or want to check the tap schedule — check that out. It’s a great place to go and get a growler filled to share with friends and celebrate the fact that we now have more choices for beer than we do for Republican candidates — finally!

Not a full blown beer nerd, but having tried many of the offerings by Treehouse, MBC, NEBCO, the usual lawsons, fiddle and headdy… Steady Habbit stands out as my most looked forward to beers. daily bread, method and coalescence i could never ever get enough of. –steve aka to john as «the enfield crew»

Steady Habit is a new brewery and their products are amazing! The Geeked IPA was delicious and the Daily Bread was perfect! I have shared my growlers with lots of people and even those who say they don’t like IPA’s are blown away. They are not at all bitter like West Coast IPAs! On a side note, the owners are really nice people and even though they are busy, are not afraid to take the time to tell you about their beers. Give them a try! If you are looking for food to go with it, they have a BBQ Vendor outside and the market next door has fabulous sandwiches.

While organizing a day of Brewery hopping in the South Central a fairly new brewery, Steady Habit popped up on my radar. Seeing it would be a good fit for a 1st brewery visit of the day(they opened at 10am) Mark C and I took the scenic route(but not getting lost!) to see what Steady Habit had to offer. A very bare bones facility and tasting room(they are working on getting their brewing schedule straightened out) we tried their two beers on tap for the day(Daily Bread IPA and Method IPA) and ended up with a growler of Method to take home with us. The growler fill was a little on the pricey side(we got a 32oz fill) compared to some of the other CT Breweries but they are new and small so I had no problem with the price. They are still working out the kinks so bear with them — it might take a bit but eventually you will be rewarded with two fairly good IPA(at a $ 1 a taste). They definitely have room to grow but for now you pretty much can go there for taste and fills. I am sure once they get steady on their feet they will put in a more formal bar area and seating — but right now it’s some folding tables and chairs.

Quick review that I will probably revise after a few visits. Steady Habit is one of the closer to my home breweries that has opened up recently, and when I visited(i think it was their 2nd week open) they had 2 beers on tap for samples and growler fills. Samples were a dollar and dispensed from the jockey box set up in the corner, growler fills had two lines — one for dropping off bottles and one for picking up filled bottles. nice, big space, smaller setup. The two beers I had when I visited were both not styles that i typically prefer, but they were true to style and well brewed beers. I can’t wait to see what else these guys brew up in the future. Also worth visiting is the liquor store in front of the brewery, they have funky brew cave with a waterfall and one of the better selections of beer in CT.
