Nick’s Grocery & Deli

Nick’s is the best! Friendly staff and great sandwiches! I go here at least once a week. I am a vegetarian and they are nothing but accomodating and understanding when I order. They also have a good command of the English language so I have no clue what the other reviewers are talking about, I can understand them just fine even though they have an accent. Nothing but great customer service from their employees and excellent sandwiches and selection! Definitely worth the 5 stars for a pleasant atmosphere.

Nick and Andy are awesome.
but they always have some new guy or another who barely speaks english there.
However, prices are good, and so is the food.

This is a hesitant 3 star review for the deli only.
On the one hand, they have Boars Head products (replenished regularly by the company if not used, so you’re guaranteed freshness) and decent fresh bread. You can also get a huge sandwich for under $ 6. And there are lots of side items since it’s a little market too. Oh right, lotto tickets as well.
On the other hand, they don’t know their products at all (I had to point out that they had roast chicken in their deli case — and literally point to it). They work dreadfully slowly. The veggie selection was weak and done of the veg tasted funny. And there’s enough of a language barrier that ordering over the phone might be a train wreck.
It’s the only place on Main Street where you can get a decent sandwich at a really reasonable price, so I’ll bet I’ll be back.
