Service was very slow. English was terrible. Food was just ok. A bit pricy for what you get. I wouldn’t return.

I bought a coupon. The waiter could not figure out how to accept my coupon on my phone. He said it had to be printed! I argued for a while. His English was not very good and he was freaking out. They finally accepted it but they added 18% tip to my bill and told me I had to pay in cash! What if I didn’t have cash on me? They accept credit cards so I couldn’t understand where this was coming from. The food was just — eh — not worth the argument to go back. My son’s meal was a big portion but mine was just average.

Family friendly environment with good food and friendly staff. Very attentive and eager to please our requests. The food is really amazing from appetizers to desert. This place is a little hidden gem in jersey. Must try the lobster ravioli and the clams.

Update review to 3.5. Went again for lunch. Bread was fresh. The salad was good. Got the shrimp francese with linguine and that was really good as well. Solid experience.

We went here for Mother’s Day brunch for a 1:30 seating. A complimentary bloody mary, mimosa or champagne was offered with the brunch. The entire restaurant was full so there was line for the buffet but you didn’t have to wait too long. Admittedly, since we got there late and were seated as one of the last tables by the time we got up to the buffet, they didn’t have alot of food left and they weren’t refilling the foods. From what I can remember they had assorted breads with cream cheese and butter, lox, capers, etc., potato pancakes which were really good, blintzes, bacon, sausage, penne and vodka sauce which was also very good, tilapia and some kind of chicken dish, roast beef which was ok — a bit dry, and some cakes, cookies, fruit and some apple dish. Also, on the menu they offered in addition to the buffet a choice of french toast, waffle or eggs — benedict or omelet — but the waiter forgot to offer these to us and I mentioned it to him and he brought them for us — but it was one slice of french toast or one waffle or one egg benedict on a plate — ehhh was ok. All in all it was ok — nothing special — just wanted to try somewhere different for brunch that wasn’t super expensive. I would go here again but for lunch or dinner rather than the buffet.

Chicken parm with vodka sauce over angel hair is my standard order here. They will customize anything for you, staff is always attentive and nice(superb really, they always refill your drinks without having to ask). Friends have gotten various fish dishes, veal, and pasta. Everyone has liked their food the 20+ times we’ve been here. Our friends had their rehearsal dinner here and everyone loved the food– from penne vodka to dover sole. They include salads with their meals and bruschetta comes when you sit down which is also a nice touch. Prices are reasonable.

We have been going to this restaurant for years and we have always been happy with both the service and food. I am specially critical, because I work in the food industry and I know the hard work behind the scenes. I expect a certain level of service and they provide it all the time. The food is consistently tasty and well prepared. I have never had to send back my plate because it was not cooked correctly or frozen or raw. I can never say their food has been less than what I expect each time. Working as the controller for a catering company gives me the knowledge to know excellence when I see it.

I have had better food served more beautifully at the local pizza place. The Arabiata was just strange. The meat entrees don’t come with a side, so I paid to have it served over pasta, which is odd. The desserts were just meh. The oddest thing was that the staff didn’t seem to have a firm gasp on the English language. They were very nice, but seemed befuddled by simple questions or requests — luckily we were the only people in the joint, which should have sent up a red flag, as it was 7:00 pm on a weeknight. Hopefully their brunch is better — not that I’ll try it, but for their sake I hope they do a better business than what we witnessed.

The service is wonderful. Osso bucco special is phenomenal. The location and décor are humble, but the food was above ordinary.

I am not sure why this place gets so many four and five star reviews. I have had brunch here four or five times and the food has been terrible each time. In one case they served shrimp which were still frozen, in another they had cheese blintzes that tasted like fish. I have been to many brunch buffets and this was by far the worst. Never again

I went for Mother’s Day brunch(buffet, the most reasonable around for ~$ 26 with a drink included [champagne — yeah, don’t water it down! — mimosa — bloody mary]. The buffet was a pretty fair split among breakfasty/lunchy stuff: bagels/lox, frittata, sausage, bacon(looked to DIE for… and I only eat bacon when I’m drunk, which I was not at 11:30am on a Sunday), latkes, blintzes, penne vodka, veggies, some kind of meat, and a slew of desserts. The food was pretty good, nothing out of this world, nothing bad, but since so many brunch buffets are just BAD, that elevates this one. Lots of fresh fruit, chocolate fountain, cakes, cookies, custard. The whipped cream was PHENOMENAL! It was fresh, but sweet(not that unsweetened kind that is basically a lard cloud). You got to order an omelette, eggs benedict, French toast, or a waffle from the kitchen(included). Skip the waffle, but go for the mind blowingly cinnamony vanilla-y French toast. Add whipped cream and fruit from the dessert area. Mmmmmm heaven. I kinda get sick of going out to Italian restaurants, because there’s one every 5 – 7 feet in North Jersey, but I def have this place on my list to try for dinner. PS — regular brunch might be cheaper, def check… mighta been a little higher for Mom’s Day.

Great food, the menu is good the specials are better. The staff are attentive and always gracious. The food is always fresh. The stuffed artichoke is fantastic but don’t miss the hot antipasto. The wine prices are reasonable and they have a good selection for every taste. Been there many times and consider it in my top ten. Try it if you like great food and excellent service.

My mom and I had been eating at diners all week because my dad was in Hackensack Hospital and we didn’t really know where else to go. They ended up putting a crazy, detox man in my dad’s room who jumped on tables and ran around naked while cursing everyone off. My dad got moved to a new room and his new roomie saved us another dinner at the diner by recommending Donn Pomodoro nearby. Everything we had was superb. We had Oysters Rockefeller and Shrimp and Avocado Salad that I will probably crave at some point, although I think they were both specials. For our entrees we both had the Chilean Sea Bass. I am not usually a fan of white fish because I much prefer fishier fish like salmon. This was probably the best white fish I’ve had. Usually I find them quite boring. It was a good sized portion so I saved half of it for lunch. Then, my mom and I couldn’t agree on a dessert. She wanted the Tartufo and I wanted the Tiramisu so we had both. They were amazing although I am a bigger fan of Tiramisu. We loved each part of our meal and are thankful for the recommendation.

Fresh, homemade, quality food in an elegant setting. Creative drinks. Had a fig vodka that I loved and I’m not a vodka lover. Feels like you’re in Italy.

I’m not one to praise heavy Italian meals — this place is THE exception! I tried the Capellini Eggplant and it was delectable. The winner, however, was the Penne w/Vodka Sauce! Again, I am from Los Angeles where we we eat multi-grain pasta and the thought of cream inside our dishes gives us a gag-reflex but this place was spectacular. One of those — «if I had a last meal I’d dine here» — type of joints!
