Although the wait seems long at first, there are plenty of other options to entertain yourself in the meantime. The bowling alley is overall well kept. Decent food/drink options as well.(Curly fries and original and citric gluten free vodka — all my needs were met :) !! Even though it was very hectic and busy, Mary at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating when I had to go back to get a smaller pair of shoes. James in the café area was SO kind and professional when it came to managing rude customers that were trying to rush me. I also have a gluten allergy, and the bartender Brian was sensitive to the fact and caring. Note to Girls– get the pink balls(8 or 10lbs)** Also, the proper bowling etiquette is to wait until the person next to you bowls so you aren’t releasing at the same time lol. The seating arrangement at the lines is a bit snug; ideal situation is going in a group of 8 so you occupy the entire middle section.

I recently went to this bowling alley twice. Both times i went i wanted to take my four year old to learn how to bowl. First time i asked if any lanes were available because i noticed there was a league about to play. I was told to wait a minute. A few minutes later the manager asked me how could he help me and again asked if there were any lanes available. Of course there wasnt because of the league. My son was disappointed but i managed to convince him we would go back another day. a week later, i went right after school and drove out there again. Once i get there, i noticed two school buses. I go in ask for a lane and again«no lanes are available because of SCHOOL leagues» I told the guy at the front desk this is the second time this has happened! Nowhere on their website has a schedule when the alley isnt available to the public at certain days and times. Completely disappointed in this place.

I’ve been to this place countless times with my family when I was younger and it was awesome! My boyfriend and I just got back into bowling, so we’ve been to other places like Lodi Lanes and Brunswick zone. We decided to take double date with my cousin and her boyfriend yesterday, so we took them bowling. Picking this place was the worst mistake. The lanes were so narrow. The floors are super, super oily. Everything. The finger holes are disgustingly filthy. And the seats are so close together that I felt I was in their party. It’s sad. I am definitely crossing this bowling alley off the list.

Worst service everrrrrr. They had two people working on a Saturday night. Packed with teens. The sarcasm from the guy at the counter was not needed. Sarcasm doesn’t belong in customer service. Never will return

A trip back in time! Randomly visited this place on a Friday night and it was super cool! I am not a great bowler so I was not excited to go to this place, however, after I walked in I saw bowling, a bar, food, arcades, pool tables a juke box and and more which was a whole lot of fun in a small city. Almost everything looks like it’s it’s at least 20 – 30 years old, perhaps even older. Some of the pool sticks are tapped up, damaged and should be replaced but everything else seems just fine. The food is good and drinks are cheap. I ordered buffalo wings and chicken fingers for $ 12.50. A drink and seltzer for $ 6.50. This is not a place that’s modern in any way, including some of the TV’s which makes you feel like you are back in time. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Loved it there and will return if I’m around the neighborhood for some good old time fun.

I must say, as a child I use to venture to this place often, back even when my friends and I used the bumpers. I haven’t been to this place in yearsssssss. I finally came back after a very long time(now bumper free!) with a group of 6 people and had a blast! Realistically, it is extremely hard to find a place to have a really great time for an inexpensive price… here…it’s actually possible! Inexpensive food, inexpensive drinks, tons of lanes with inexpensive prices!!! And get this! They have deals regularly! Tonight, we were able to rent a lane for two hours between six people for only $ 47.00’s, AND this includes the price for shoe rentals as well — like common, you can’t beat that! There is even a deal here where people can rent the lane for only $ 1.00 per person per game!!! The food, average cafeteria like food which one should expect— it’s a bowling alley– not a restaurant. Small bar area, also has a pool table which is pretty cool. But what is unfortunate is that they have no pitchers of beer! **sad face** The place isn’t exactly as «up-to-date» as other places, but it’s still a great time. Friendly staff, always available especially when balls get stuck or pins fall in lanes. After my experience tonight, I realized it’s been way too long and will not wait that long again until I return!

I know a five star rating for a bowling alley seems high. But I came from NYC where the«true» bowling alleys are pretty much extinct. Just night clubs that accidentally have lanes. But bowler city is a god send. Perfectly bridging old bowling alley feel with new technology. They even have food, a full bar, pool tables and games for when you are done bowling. The prices are great and there are so many specials so you can actually bowl and not go broke. Friendly staff and parking out front is a beautiful thing too.

I would’ve given the place a 5 because it has plenty of goods. Bowling, arcade, food, bar, pool tables, open till 2am I think, parking space. However I experienced one of the rudest things I have in a while. I’m a young adult, however I look like I’m 17 when I shave my beard. I go check this foosball table which was empty. I walk to this black old guy to ask him what the price is to play foosball and if he is the one who rents the foosball ball. The dude asked me «WHAT?» with a stank face. I repeated myself and he said«first of all you have to show me ID» I asked if you have to be over 21 to play foosball, he said I have to be over 21 to be in the bar and motioned his hands including the part where the foosball thing was. I jokingly replied«what I look like I’m 15?» he said I look like I’m 5. I said«I do have ID but I just want to know how much the foosball thing is». He said laughing, «you’re starting to get on my nerves, ask him –some bartender next to him– he’s the boss». I said«really?» and walked out. I should’ve told some manager but honestly the staff overall was unfriendly so I thought it would be pointless.

I bowl almost everyday and don’t care for bowling here. Oily lanes, temperamental keyboards on the scoring system, and it’s kinda dirty. Plus it’s expensive– $ 5.50/game/person… Plus shoes(another $ 4/person). You can bowl elsewhere for $ 15⁄2 hours/person and it includes shoes. A way better deal, and it’s cleaner. The staff is nice, but their party people leave a lot to be desired. The only nice thing is that its big, so if they are busy you may not have to wait. But for what they charge, I would expect it to be way cleaner, and updated.

Bowler City has this great $ 2/game deal on Mon-Wed after 9pm! It’s amazing for those who are just looking to have a fun time and hang out with friends. It was pretty crowded when I got here Wed night at 9, but we had a lane after 10 minutes or so of waiting. It’s not the cleanest of places, but it’s got a lot of lanes, working machines, booze, and food. The food isn’t extraordinary, just a bunch of fried options. The bar is really sticky, so you may just want to get your drinks and head back to the bowling area. Bowler City has a loyal clientele and their deals are pretty awesome. I’m definitely going to try to come back to play more often.

If I want to go bowling, I don’t really have a plethora of options… Bowler City is what’s around. The lanes are fine, no issues with the computer scoring system. Fries are pretty damn good. But the lady at the front desk makes me feel like I’m still in high school and about to shoplift a pair of used bowling shoes or something. We brought in some outside coffee and we got reamed. I’m ok with the policy — no outside food — ok. Just need to let us know! So we went outside while waiting for lanes and drank our coffee there. While she watched us like a hawk to make sure we didn’t come inside. One member of our 9 person party came late and we saved him a cup of coffee so he ended up getting his at the lane but the front desk lady came after us again. So scary. I just kept feeling like I was a bad kid constantly breaking rules. But I’m in my mid 30s…

Mon-Wed 2 dollars games! How do you beat that? Shoe rental is like $ 4 and you’re ready to go. I once went into a bowling alley in the city and it was like 30 dollars for a single game with a friend not including shoes. I hear the food isn’t bad here but I haven’t dared to try it. There are plenty of lanes and balls and it’s just a great time. Larry David once said there’s only like three things to do at night and Bowling is one of them. I think Larry was right.

I can’t help thinking about who wore these shoes before me hoping that the person using this ball is an avid hand washer. Not the cleanest place but they have some seriously amazing deals! Mon-wed after 9pm dolla games! $ 1 per person! They also have deals on weekends I just haven’t checked them out. The people are nice and the lanes are plenty This place is definitely worth checking out

What a nice bowling alley. It’s bright, clean, and well-maintained. I take my child for kid’s bowling on Wednesdays($ 8 each week for two games). The arcade is spacious and has cool games. The café has great food at reasonable prices. A small order of fries is $ 2.95, and they are delicious. I couldn’t stop eating them. My friends enjoyed their burgers and chicken tenders. Big parking lot, and they have a bar area open in the evenings. ATM on the premises. Nice staff. They might sound hurried on the phone, but they are very sweet in person.

Grew up bowling here and it hasn’t changed much. Not fancy or polished — a good time in the burbs. Nothing negative to say –fun around the corner! My boyfriend actually got a «turkey» here(and that night I learned what that term means.) good times!

This is my go-to bowling lanes in NJ. it’s not the fanciest or the highest quality place, but it’s really great! prices aren’t bad, and they usually have great deals most nights of the week after around 9 or 10pm. the house balls aren’t bad at all(most of them) and the lanes are well oiled. In other places, it’s not oiled enough or TOO much. but here, it’s consistent and good. some nights, however,(like weekends), the wait can be long. about 30minutes. but the food isn’t bad and there’s a small arcade inside too. there’s a White manna(burgers), ice skating, and more nearby as well.

I have been going to Bowler City since I was a young girl. It’s nothing fancy. It is what it is: a bowling alley. The employees are friendly and polite. Recently I was here for a company outing and the employees came to clear off the balls since no one else did. They saw I was trying to help out but they told me to relax and they got it. So nice. The only downfall is that it is a bit older. Some of the balls, I couldn’t even tell what poundage they were. The shoes were definitely newer. And the television screens were a bit hard to see sometimes. Otherwise, I’m still a fan. I’ll still keep coming here since it is my neighborhood bowling alley.

Lovely classic bowling alley. Amazing deal on Sunday mornings! $ 10 for 3 games and breakfast/beverage. Can’t say the food is any good, but hey that deal is great regardless if food is involved or not. Shoes not included. I hear they have a lot more deals throughout the week as well, so check it out!
