Vagabond Inn Hacienda Heights

I called here to check if any rooms were available.
This asian lady picked up and said «hello». Nothing more. I had to ask if this was the Vagabond Inn. And she replied with, «yes, this is the Vagabond Inn… Seriously? When you answer calls you should be saying «hello, this is the Vagabond Inn, how may i help you».
Then i asked if there were any rooms available for a certain date and she replies with «I’m not sure»… She didn’t even bother to ask someone else or check… I was just in awe of her lack in knowledge of not knowing ANYTHING and working there. Ridiculous…
Please TRAIN your staff members THOROUGHLY…

This hotel is very close to the freeway, but surprisingly, I did not get a lot of the noise from the freeway. The location is very convenient to nearby restaurants and freeways. They offers free breakfast and free internet access. The room was very clean and the staff was always friendly. They pretty much solve all your problems if you ever encounter one. They also remodeled this place just couple weeks ago, and it looks fresh and nice now. Overall, very satisfied, would definitely return.

Im writing this review because I want visitors and locals to know what I experianced. First off im a local in the area… sometimes we use the Vagabond because its next door to the bar and its convienant not to drive after a fun night.
Well after dancing you would think a nice shower and a comfy bed would be nice… NOT EVEN… the bathroom was nasty and who uses wallpaper in bathrooms??? Anyways lets get to the bed situation… the cosmetics of the bed look great… like a modern L.A. hotel room.
…but looks are decieving… I dove on the bed like you see in the movies and landed on what felt like a cement block… I just laid there in pain… this bed was a friggin joke… I will NEVER spend my LOCAL money at this wanabee motel… sad to say… peace

I stayed there a few days ago and the hotel was great! The room was very comfortable and clean. They served breakfast as well as snacks which was very convenient. The staff was friendly too. The rooms don’t cost much and it’s location is right next to the freeway, making it very accesable. Will definitely go back.

We will Never reserve a room here again. We reserved a room but didn’t stay. The bed was rock hard. It felt like just the box spring. One of the chairs was broken. The bathroom was gross. And last but not least, someone left their underwear on the floor. Just nasty!

Basic bed and amenities. I basically needed a place to sleep and it filled the bill. Price was OK, and there was a very simple breakfast. The room never quite cooled to my comfort. I might go back when I visit family or I might not.

Our friend recommended this place to stay. The price is good. This is a clean Inn. We stayed here a couple weeks ago. The staff is friendly. It comes with continental breakfast. It’s convenient to nearby cities. We would stay here again.

If you want some affordable motel near downtown LA, this motel is the place to go. For the value and the location, this is the best place. Downtown is only 9 miles away.
About $ 66 for 1 night. You can’t beat the price in LA. Plus, they offer continental breakfast.
The accommodation and amenities are valuable at this price. Staffs are friendly. The motel is quiet, clean, and safe.

I also don’t understand the negative reviews. I actually think it was a great room for the price. I visit Los Angeles on a regular basis and I’ve already stayed here twice. It’s clean, close to the freeway and it has plenty of food options next to it.

Bad service. There are multiple small cockroaches in bathroom, and we found a big cockroach around 4 cm size on the ceiling. We called staff to clean for us but the staff came 10 minutes after, and even just throw a piece of tissue to that cockroach!!! Of course, the big stuff escaped to somewhere in our room. So we stay with the cockroach overnight!
Bad attitude of hotel staff is the major problem. Don’t stay here if you are cockroach phobia!

Not sure why this place is rated so poorly. Place is inexpensive with nice staff. The room is clean with comfortable beds. They were quick to replace the remote control that wasn’t working. The down side is being next to the freeway, but other than that, I am satisfied with the place. Did not see any pests in the room.

My room had ants, so they put me in a different room. I walk in and e TV was left on with porn on and the bed was not maid. So now the 3^rd room they put me in Had a big Roach!!! So that’s 3diffent rooms I had to transfer to at 1:30am. Horrible! I would not recommend this place.

Fucken horrible. Cost 65 bucks for a queen bed and little to no amenities. Disgusting. Cockroach in the shower, stinkbug under the sink, and random hair particles on the bed. Small room with a hard spring mattress and ugly decorations such as a nasty bed cover, wallpaper, and ancient appliances. A microwave that must e come out during the mid 90s and a fridge barely big enough for a to-​go box. I highly advise to not stay here. Asian run and a 5 dollar deposit for the room key. I told them about all the things I had to deal with and they gave me a 10 dollar discount as I checked out before even spending the night. Location is great but if u absolutely must stay here then bring a sleeping bag. I’ve been to bad hotels before but this one takes the cake.
