Hacienda Am Pm

Any time I’m in the area, I end up here because it’s convenient, and am reminded of how much it sucks. I’ll do a better job of avoiding it.
As with many Arco stations in this area, they refuse to take credit cards. And you have to go to a central reader to do your transactions (along with everyone else trying to get in and out). The corner is crowded with a lot of traffic, so driving in/​out and getting to a pump can be an exercise in fear and loathing.
On my last trip, they couldn’t figure out how to ring up my snacks because the bag wouldn’t scan. I finally had to look at it myself and point out that there’s a little flap of plastic over the UPC. The guy at the counter couldn’t figure that out himself. Then they couldn’t make the card reader work for several attempts. I finally paid in cash, which I was low on, just to get out of there.
I was going to originally give it one star, but went to two because it really is the cheapest gas in the area. But just not worth the hassle to me.

ZERO STARS. I was running on fumes and finally made it to this gas station and guess what? The debit terminal wouldn’t take my card. I’m like wtf? So I had to drive up the street to the Mobil and fill up there, hoping I won’t run out of gas on the way. NOT COMIN BACK TO THIS AMPM.

I like this gas station simply because it’s close to my job and when gas prices start to drop its one of the first places that have has cheaper gas. I don’t really like the location because it can get really packed and traffic is crazy around the area.

Used to be a really good place to get gas, but has really been going downhill the past few years. They used to be an awesome discount gas option, but their costs are now on par with Mobile down the street. They are super busy during rush hours, lots of road raging going on. Their machines never print receipts. The paper either feeds back into the machine, or it is out of paper all together. Their gas pumps are really slow. All this would be acceptable if their gas prices were lower then the competition. But when their prices are on par with a top tier like Mobile, save the hassle and go down the street.

Stay away from this gas station! I don’t know if it’s all am pm’s, but they charge you like 65 cents for using debit! I’d understand if it were credit, but debit ?? Boo.
Also, the gas prices posted are for cash only. Double boo!
