Food at this place is really really good… So many Asian restraunts in this area and if you don’t speak the language sometimes just walking into one on your own can be intimidating but I’m glad I did… Been back 3 times and everything I’ve tried on the menu was incredible.

On a late night munchies tip, walked in with a homie who lives around the corner. The restaurant is «American Style Cuisine» influenced so it says, but with a Chinese flair… Anywho since it was American style, I figured to give the Chicken Wings a try &WOW!!! The Lamb chops were phenomenal! The homie DRUMCELL had cubed Filet Mignon French style & crispy Chicken Chow Mein… Everything was Superb… We totally stumbled on a hidden gem in Hacienda Heights Shi Shi Big Ups!!!

Don’t bother go to this café lousy service. Went there for brunch yesterday got a table right away and seat down waited for 10 minutes no one come take your order. You have to ask a waiter to take your order. Ask the waiters for refill my coffee. Waited over 20 minutes still no coffee. End up have to ask the cashier to refill my coffee. NEVER will go to this place again.

Our favorite quick and satisfying GoTo place when the family is undecided. They have a variety of dishes… our favorites are the grilled fish fillet, baked pork chop rice, curry beef, and lemon ice tea.

Another one of the HK cafes that are opened really late at night, been coming here since forever. My favorite part about this restaurant is the tomato soup they serve you the second that you sit down. I only order two dishes from their menu and it’s almost the exact same thing, Grilled Pork Chop or Grilled Pork Chop and Chicken Steak. Both with mushroom sauce with a side of black pepper sauce. The dish itself comes with 2HUGE pieces of meat with the side of rice or spaghetti and mixed vegetables. The pork chops are always grilled perfectly, mushroom and black pepper sauce adds a lot of flavor and the vegetables are a great complement. Portion size is huge, if I’m not feeling that hungry, this can easily become two meals. Service is spotty, but I don’t expect much from them other than bringing out our food and drinks. Great spot for lunch, dinner or even for those late night drunchies. My coworkers got some pretty good looking dishes last time, might need to try the other food on their menu now!

I have been coming here for years! Food is always tasty from my experience. I usually come around lunch and order the Korean BBQ ribs with the sole fillet with pasta(my fave) *sometimes I sub out the vegetables to get double the pasta :3, tried the pork chop with black pepper sauce today and its good too! If you dine in you get a small soup but the soup usually changes depending on which day you go. Service is average. Don’t expect too much. Prices vary from what you want to order but their lunch menu is at a good price for the amount of food you get.

I got a table and menu quick. Boston fried rice was excellent and reasonably priced. Ovaltine milk was delicious. The place was clean and plenty of parking. Although waitress was promptly I did not get a single smile out of her in seven interactions: seating, menus, food, drinks, bill, pay, change. This could easily have being 5 stars!!! Smile!!!

The HK style food here is really good and I always get the spaghetti bolognese. Super cheap, super filling, and super good! Service here isn’t great, but it’s expected. Food comes out fast and they give you a little bowl of soup with crackers, usually some kind of white creamy chicken and corn soup, or sometimes a tomato beef soup with carrots and cabbage. I’ll always come back here because it’s always fast, cheap, and easy.

The pricious Hong Kong style café in the area… foods is average… Service ok… Boss is not very friendly… Cooks are younger than the average staffs… Now a day most cooks in Chinese kitchen are in their fifties and sixties… Young people do not want to be cooks– too much hard work… Back to the review I had the round steak with two eggs overeasy… Most Chineses do not know how to cook eggs overeasy… The egg yolks are almost always well done. Soup is flavorful – a little salty, but plenty of vegetables. Round steak is very thin, but for $ 10 I am getting what I paid for… Steak tasted alright. Mixed vegetables are mainly cabbages – very inexpensive vegetables. There are a few frozen corn, pea and carrot. They want to be different and charge more, but are not willing to give the customer something better to eat. Thai fried rice is simply fried rice with hot sauce added. This place wants to charge more than everyone else, but their foods are not that good… Not worth the money… That is why I do not come often.

This has to be the worst place ever in my entire life I’ve been to. The tofu I had is the nastiest bite of food i have ever consumed. I am highly disappointed being that i paid almost 20 dollars for something i didn’t eat and drove literally out of my way to check something out thats open late. I should have just went to del taco

Used to be a good spot but the manager(Ted) and staff(Lily) are horrible! Started charging $ 1.00 a cup to go?! Ted tells me it’s because they had pay raises and high food costs. They then proceed to nod their head in agreement to everything I request or ask bc they don’t speak English or Cantonese. Then look at me funny when they do everything the opposite of everything I asked… I felt like I was getting punked and on a hidden reality show. Must be joking me… They said we want to pass along to the customer. I’m going to start going to HG Café or Garden Café(both just a hop skip away) from now on…

I just stepped out of this place and have to say it was alright. I came with my family party of 8 and we ordered different dishes and ate family style. Once we were done ordering I went to use the restroom before eating. Caution there is only one restroom so I had to wait about 10 minutes which was awful because by the time I got back the food was cold. Customer service was pleasant. Servers were very attentive and polite. They came to check on the table every now and then when needed. The food was delicious although it was a bit cold. Kong Pow chicken was by far my favorite! It has a sweet taste to it and it had peanuts in it which I love! I will most likely be returning here. It was a pleasant place to eat and it is not very far from where I live!

I use to come here once a week, but because of their poor customer service, I stopped coming for over 3 years. My friend convinced me to give them another chance, so I did today. Everything went well and I was going to even give them a 5 stars until after we ordered our foods. My friend ordered the Chicken with black pepper sauce and spaghetti and I got the spicy deep fried fillet with garlic. My friend’s dish came out 30 minutes before mind, he literally finished his food before I got mind. After I waited 15 minutes, I decided to inquire and all this chick said was ok, ok. Ok what? You’ll look into it? Arghhhhhhh. Ok, so minus 1 star. My friend asked for extra spaghetti sauce, this dude said we don’t have any, it’s mixed together. So we asked if we can get extra pepper sauce, he just walked away without any acknowledgement. My friend and I wonder if he heard us. We realized he did cause he did brought us the pepper sauce. So my friend decided to order the spaghetti sauce from another waitress and she brought it to us with no issues. Minus one more star from that rude waiter. After 30 minutes later, my food finally came, but my friend is already done with his. After staring at me for 10 mins, he finished his soda. So he decided to order a refill from the same rude waiter because he was the only one around. He brought the refill, once again without any acknowledgement. Gave us a dirty look like we were bugging him. Minus another star. By now, I am thinking, I need to get the F*** out of here. This is way too stressful, feel like we are seriously not wanted here. So we asked for our bill from two, yes two different waitresses, they just walked by us like we were retards. Minus one more star. Hmmmm, by now, I think to myself, maybe you have to be rude to get your way around here. So I raised my voice and asked from a different waiter for our bill. Guess what? It worked, he looked at me like WTF, but I did finally got an acknowledgement. When I finally pay them, this is when I hear a «thank you». To be fair, the foods are great. This review would’ve been an easy 5 stars without some of these rude employees. Very sad, I just wonder how the hell do they get a job dealing with people. See you when you are no longer around. Food quality: 5⁄5 Customer Service: Negative a trillion Cleanliness: 2⁄5 Price: 5⁄5 Quantity: 5⁄5 Too bad the negative trillion scores killed it for them.

I had a light lunch with the fish ball noodle soup. It was salty then maybe that is how that noodle was suppose to be. I may have not ordered the right food. Maybe there are some good popular dishes here just didn’t know what to get for a mid afternoon meal. The chrysanthemum tea I had was ok just more sweet. This is a cheap place and the food overall wasn’t what I expected being in area with lots of Asian restaurants.

Service: fast and the wait staff is nice Tip: lots of drinks have free refills here

Eh. This is the kind of place you go to when you don’t really have other options for food. You’re kinda like aight, this looks ok, and the Unilocal pictures come in handy when choosing what to eat. They didn’t bother trying to give us much or any customer service, just served us all water and the house soup. Which I didn’t bother trying btw since I’m skeptical with random soups with no information provided. Anyway, I ordered what looked familiar to me which was orange chicken and steamed rice. When they brought the plates, one of them wasn’t washed properly. I asked for a new plate and was given one shortly with no word exchanging. Parking is in a huge lot, so that is why I give this review the 2 stars. Other than that, the overall experience was whatever, definitely won’t come back here because it was nothing special nor different than going to a Panda Express. It would have been cheaper to go there than waste my time and money on a place like this. So, if any of you are thinking of coming here on your lunch, I would suggest rethinking your options.

Coming here from Louisiana, we stopped by this place after heading to Disney, and it’s great knowing that they’re open until 1:00AM. I ordered the pork chop with pepper, via the numerous other Unilocal reviews here, and I definitely don’t regret it. I’m sure everyone has their own reasons as to why the reviews are so low, but the service here really isn’t too bad. My drink was constantly refilled, and you could ask for more rice if you wanted some, free of charge. The complimentary porridge at 10 at night was the cherry on the cake, I thought that it was going to be completely bland soup with a packet of crackers to go with. Boy was I wrong, it had plenty of flavor, and the corn and small bits of meat in the bowl made every spoonful delightful. The pork chop was crispy and tender. The meat was pretty lean, and the rice is served on the side alongside the pork chop. The flavors complimented one another, and the television sets provided for extra entertainment while I spent a good bit of time eating there. Definitely worth the time and money, give it a try if you’re in the area.

Stopped in with my business partner prior to doing our taxes. Although we were seated immediately, we didn’t even get asked our drink orders until about almost 10 minutes after we sat down. When we were asked what we’d like to drink, we let the waiter know we already knew what we’d like to eat as well. Shortly after our drinks arrived, we were brought out a reddish colored vegetable soup. To me, it reminded me of Mexican«Caldo De Res»(but without the beef). The portions are generous here, so it is best to order one thing per person and share with your table. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and my business partner ordered the Chicken and Pork Chow Mein. The Chow Mein lacked any real flavor. The pieces of chicken and pork didn’t have much more flavor than the rice noodles they were mixed in. The only slight flavor I was able to pick up was the onion and celery(which isn’t saying much about the dish). The Kung Pao Chicken was a little better than the Chow Mein dish. They don’t use chicken breast(or not much of it) as every bite I took was clearly dark meat. Now, I know the dark meat is the flavorful part of the chicken, but, I’m not a fan of it. That being said, it was cooked well and did pick up a slight spice from the peppers in the dish. Instead of having a unified flavor that veggies and chiles sauteed together would(should?) have, everything in the dish just tasted like the raw ingredient. What I mean was, the bell pepper tasted like bell pepper, the onions tasted like onions, the chiles tasted like chiles, the chicken(mostly) tasted like chicken, and the peanuts tasted like peanuts.

I’m not gonna lie, I have a thing for Hong Kong Style cafes. I swear everything is bomb here. I’ve not order one thing that I didn’t like. First encounter was breakfast/brunch. If you’ve never been to a HK café for breakfast, you are missing out on one of the cheapest best breakfast available to you! Just think about how much you spend on brunch 15 to 20 bucks per head right? At HK cafes, you would spend less than 10 bucks and might have some left overs. I took a picture of my brunch, check out the picture of what I order for less than $ 20. Second encounter was for lunch. Normally, the lunch special menu is super cheap too, but I had opted for the dinner menu. I got one of the dishes that was quintessential HK café. The grilled chicken steak. Crispy skin, tender and succulent meat, resting on a bed of their Boston sausce(tasted like Spicy A1 sauce). Comes with your side of soup of the day and your choice of rice, pasta, or mix vegetables. I wanted to stay away from carbs, so i got the veggies, and it was surprisingly good. The chicken steak with a lemon ice tea, came out to be about $ 15 with tax and tip. At the end of the meal, I feel very satisfied paying that for what I’ve eaten. It’s dollar for dollar… bang for the buck… HOWEVER, I’m a little curious why they charge $ 18 for ribeye steak here, I know it sounds cheap compared to other American restaurants, but for HK café, that is OUTRAGEOUSLY high(typically $ 12-$ 15 max). Oh well, until next time!

We stopped by on the way back from Puente Hills mall. We wanted to dine at a place different than what we usually eat. We Unilocaled and this little strip mall had a lot of different selections. We settled on either Spicy Home or Boston Café, and since Spicy Home was closed, we dined at this joint. We ordered the following: Wings and Calamari Fries for Ian Green Onion Pancake Almond milk English Tea Eel Singapore style noodles Pros: 1) Portions were very generous on the noodles and Wings.(+1) 2) Most of the items were delicious. Eel was very good while hot. This was the first time I have had eel(+1) 3) Lots of variety in items. 4) English tea with condensed milk was different. 5) Next door to 99 Ranch market. Once we ordered food, mrs actually did some shopping at the market and came back to hot food on the table. Cons: 1) Waitstaff had to be flagged down several times for stuff we needed.(–1) 2) Almond milk was not good at all.
