Their service is much better than the nearby big box store, and their prices competitive for paint supplies. I am buying Benjamin Moore Aura because it is lower VOC than most, and still gets high ratings for quality. If you need more than one quart of paint, I recommend purchasing a gallon. From a cost perspective, the difference is small. When we purchase two quarts, we are either scraping the bottom of the can, or we cannot paint another wall that we decided to after painting the initial wall.

So today one more of my boyfriends doorknobs went to doorknob heaven. While he was at work I took a stroll up to bergenline to find a hardware store. Through the help of Unilocal I came across this place. I stepped inside and went right over to the register and asked for help on where to find doorknobs. Happily the man at the register guided me right over to the doorknob section and asked me specifically what I was looking for. After I told, him he pointed out my different options along with the price differences which was both great and extremely helpful. In my opinion, he did not seem interested in up-selling me and seemed more focused on my overall satisfaction as a paying customer which was just fantastic. The prices for the doorknobs all varied and they had quite a few options. Within 5 minutes I was able to find exactly the two I was looking for. Checking out was also easy and quick. I took a quick look around before I left and it looked to me that the place was pretty well stocked and was fairly big for a store on bergenline. Now I know where to go for any hardware supplies! Oh and if you buy paint you get a free t-shirt! :p

I came here for Benjamin Moore Paint, and since I prefer to shop local, this place seemed to be perfect. Not necessarily so. At least four people working, I used that word loosely, and not one could be bothered to leave the conversation at the counter to walk twenty feet to help us. With anything. We picked out our paint, came to the counter, waited, waited some more, and finally were graced with service! I started asking a question about a specific type of paint finish, the man behind the counter cut me off with his answer(which I later found to be COMPLETELYWRONG). When I questioned his answer, he looked at me like I was mentally disabled and gave me the same stock answer. I paid for the paint, and he walked away, left me hanging for literally ten seconds, before turning around over his shoulder to tell us it would be ten minutes. Never came back to us. We had to ask someone else for our paint. Dude was far too engulfed in conversation to do any work. The next time I need any paint or hardware, I’ll leave the neighborhood. Two stars, only because they have Benjamin Moore Paint and no other reason. There are other stores out there that would love your business and your money. Don’t shop here.
