This little hid gem is fantastic. Food was made like mom would make and the service was amazing. We had breakfast at 1pm in the afternoon and was made to perfection. Highly recommended to visit

Little hole in the wall dinner, food was ok. Looked run down & dirty, grease on the walls, dirty, & mold hanging from the ceiling air conditioner unit. Since they close at 2pm daily… you would think they would have plenty of time to clean! Took our order quickly, then waited over 30 minutes to be served. Food was lukewarm, country sausage gravy was from the bag, not home made, and there was no sausage in it. But you get a lot of food and staff were nice

Stopped for lunch. Place was packed. My wife ordered plain hamburger and side salad. OK, not spectacular. I had a Western Omelet with home fries and biscuit and gravy. Outstanding. Moral of the story, when in a small town diner, don’t order boring food.

If you want good home cooking, friendly atmosphere and people, this is the place to come. Had the chicken fried steak with okra and it was great. The steak was so tender I could cut it with a fork. Then there were the meringue pies. We had chocolate and it was delicious.

Excellent service, waitress always buzzing around with coffee and water refills. I got the western omelet and chose biscuit and gravy and grits for sides. Biscuit was huge fresh and homemade. Grits were plentiful 8 oz. Bowl, and so well made I ate them all. Coffee was fresh and had several cups. Omelet was huge with right amount of ingredients so good I ate it all with fresh made salsa on top. Definitely would recommend this mom and pop diner, not my first visit.

Just a small town diner where everyone knows everyone. Seems like«the» place to be. Food is diner. I had the liver & onions and it was ok. Portions are kinda small. Staff was friendly and nice. Probably your best option.

Had breakfast here heading back to Tulsa. Small restaurant, was PACKED when we went. Luckily found a place to sit. Food was good. Service was a bit slow, but being as it was a full house that is to be expected. Clearly a favorite of locals.

Wonderful service and wonderful food!!! I had the chips and homemade salsa which was excellent and the open face hot roast beef with Brown gravy with REAL mashed taters!!! Strawberry shortcake is definitely worth the over indulgence too!!! :-)Highly recommend making the trip or the stop going through town! :-)

Very good local café. Clearly a favorite with the locals. Special of the day was ham & beans with cornbread. Excellent food and generous serving. I will definitely be back, hopefully to try breakfast.

Good home cooking, reasonable prices, always busy but usually get a seat in less than 10 minutes or less. Service is consistently ok, sometimes top knotch. Coffee is good as are the pancakes and biscuits. The hash browns are a bit wet and sloppy in the middle and some orders are soaked in endless gravy but they do serve it with a smile :-) overall this is a nice place to have breakfast with the locals. Guthrie is a nice town.

The biscuits and sausage gravy is notch. My buddy got the Campfire — and the peppers were fresh and eggs were spot on. Their burgers are AMAZING. I got the special which had bacon ground up INSIDE the patty. I will dream of this burger between now and the next time I return to Katie’s.

Meh, I’ve had better from a chain restaurant. I wasn’t too impressed with Katie’s diner at all. First The waitresses were kind of rude, and had an attitude of they didn’t want to be there. I think the only smiles I saw from the staff wash the young man picking up the dishes. :\ It was a small space and it was completely packed, which isn’t a bad thing for business but you can barely have a conversation because all the customers seem to be yelling over each other. I had got the chicken fried steak, and it was just okay. It had so much seasoning that I got a little sick after eating it, but it wasn’t the worst chicken and steak I’ve ever had. I will say their biscuit and gravy was pretty delicious and a generous size, so sadly that was the highlight of my meal. However, for being just mediocre food the price is reasonable. My husband and I ate her and only had to pay $ 16 for a total of two meals and two drinks. Will I eat here again? Meh, probably if I’m really hungry.

We were in Guthrie and hungry while doing some antique shopping. Sought the help of Unilocal and were let to Katie’s Diner due to it’s close proximity and great reviews. We went in and the place was jam-packed, a good sign for a diner. We were able to find a small table and were excited for the delicious smelling foods. It took a while for our server to get to us, which was only a problem because our table had not been bussed. After the delay, I ordered the scrambler. Two biscuits, loaded with choice of meat, scrambled eggs, and covered in sausage gravy. When the food came, the portions were huge! And anyone who knows me, knows I’m fine with that! We dove in to the fantastic looking food, and with the first bite… mild disappointment. The gravy was not homemade and sure tasted like it was from a packet. And there was very little bacon on my entrée and my girlfriend said the same of hers. So compared to the wonderful look of our meals, the taste was a little lacking. That said, the biscuit was wonderful! I don’t want my review to seem negative because overall Katie’s was good, it just could have been so much more. I would absolutely recommend Katie’s as it was a good breakfast. 3 stars just not 4 or 5. Good atmosphere decent service and ok food with fair prices.

Morning after a friends wedding, and we were looking for a local place to get some food before we started the long drive back. Located just around the corner from our hotel– it was clear that this was THE place to eat in Guthrie. The place was small and totally packed. We found a table, and the food came out. Everything was fresh, tasty, good portions and quick service. Highly recommend if you want some great breakfast food on the cheap.

This is true Oklahoma home cooking! This is one of my Dad’s favorite places to eat and so I on our last day here he took us all out for breakfast. While we waited for our table amidst the duck hunters and cowboys(I told you, it is true Oklahoma) we realized a table for 7 was not gonna happen in this quaint but crowded, one room popular restaurant. Though people seemed more than willing to wait for the breakfast all day. My sister and I both got the make your own breakfast of hashbrowns, eggs, 4 crispy slices of bacon with a fluffy biscuit and saucer of gravy on the side. Yummy in my Sooner tummy. My husband enjoyed his spinach omelette, though we all agreed a little more seasoning couldn’t hurt in the cooking. The waitress was quick on her feet with Southern hospitality and coffee. Finally it was a heck of a deal — $ 6 – 7 per meal. I’ll be back next time… Maybe for lunch!

So good we had to go back! The place was packed both days while GOTR was in town. They were able to keep up and turn tables quickly, while still maintaining good quality food and service.

Diner that HITS the marks!!! I was hungry and wanted good old fashion American food! I went with the Ham, Eggs, and cheese melt which was divine with my side of mashed potatoes and gravy!!! It really hit the spot. The service was great too! Lots of personality! I did not try their famous Crack Pie(butterscotch type of pie), but I did go for the Chocolate and loved it!!! Had a hard time pulling myself away from it, but I had to do it. It is a must if you are in Guthrie! Save space for dessert!
