Wolfsen’s Sausages are top notch. I go to to the Turlock’s farmers market primarily because of Wolfsen booth.

This review is on their sandwiches only. Please, sad pathetic, inbred Central Valley people like «CASH F» need not to defend the honor of Wolfsen’s sausage. I am not a self proclaimed «sausage stuffer» like CASH. Unlike CASH, I don’t crave sausage in my mouth SO much that I would create a Unilocal account and write one review In order to defend the honor of a sausage. If CASH wasn’t drunk on sausage and had the wherewithal to click past the first 5 reviews he would see that I am not the only one that gave negative reviews on Wolfsen’s sandwiches and meats.
Honestly, I don’t know why people love them so much. I had a prime rib sandwich and my buddy had the tri tip sandwich. Some of the most BLAND food I have ever had. It literally tasted like nothing. I wished I would have brought Salt and pepper with me. Mid sandwich, I went and asked for a small container of bbq sauce. Which, also was bland but, made the sandwich bearable going down. I was hungry. Will not return.

Best meat in the state. The Zinfandel Tri-​tip is phenomenal! Largest selection of custom sausages you can find! Wonderful sandwiches hot and fresh.

This place has a plethora of delicious sausage, I seriously haven’t had a bad one. I can’t testify to the sandwiches. Get the pepper snacks, they are straight dope. Also, just to address the elephant in the room… The staff… Well let’s just say leave your girlfriend in the car

Come here for the brisket sandwich. You might hear that the trip-​tip sandwich is the most popular. And that might be true. But it’s also irrelevant. The brisket sandwich is a Hall of Fame sandwich, and nothing else we tried (though good) came close. The sausage samples while you wait are a nice touch; try the basil-​mozzarella sausage and the red hots.

I love their selection and flavors. Haven’t had a bad sausage from there yet. I feel the pricing is fair. The sandwiches are delicious. Someone said the grilled peppers and onions were overpowering the meat, well let’s see you grill peppers and onions and NOT have them overpower the meat; they are aromatics. Cmon. Great jerky, too. The help is always friendly and have no problem suggesting something different than the usual suspects.

With so much hype surrounding this place, I thought the sandwiches were going to be mind-​blowing, but they were ‘meh’ at best. I ordered a turkey with cheddar, my mom ordered a tri-​tip sandwich. Both were extremely mediocre. I would like to try some of the sausages, maybe the sausage is better? I did like the décor and the ladies running the counter were nice, but the sandwiches weren’t great at all.

Best beef jerky I’ve had in my life! The sandwiches and sausages are amazing. The food and service is excellent!

Grew up in Gustine this place is a gem for a small town all the sandwiches are amazing tri tip is my personal favorite, they have over 50 different types of sausage with are great for grilling and there Bloody Mary tri tip is out of this world!

Friendly helpful staff and a cool vibe inside. They have such a variety of meats, sausage, steak, sandwiches, wraps and jerky. Unilocal reviewers are right on this one.

Stopped here this week on our way to a wedding in Orange Co, after reading the reviews on Unilocal.The staff were so friendly and helpful and even gave me a few tasting samples (Spicy Hawaiian and Linguica — YUM!). I bought several packages of German style Smoked Bratwurst, Irish Smoked Sausage and Maple Sausage links. In addition to their case of sausages, they offer meat and sandwiches. I ordered a smoked pulled BBQ chicken sandwich to share with my elderly father on the road. Delicious! I recommend taking the 10 minute detour to Gustine. You won’t be dissapointed!

People working here are very fast and super friendly. I ordered the pulled pork it came in a timely fashion and it was so amazing!!!
I highly recommend getting lunch here. Didn’t get a chance to try the brats, but they have so many flavors I can’t imagine you would find a bad one!!!

Took a little Saturday road trip out here on the advice of a friend that said Wolfsen’s make some of the best sausages around. I’m already a fan of Lockeford Meats in Lockeford and Corralitos in Watsonville who also make their own varieties of sausages.
I bought a variety of things here including the wide and thickly cut Ketucky Bacon, California salsa sausage, pork garlic sausage, jalepeno & cilantro, fresh chicken chorizo, & finally the smoked pork sausage with bacon, cream cheese, & jalapeño peppers sausage.
To be honest, I haven’t tried any of these yet because I’m still full off the bomby hot tri-​tip sandwich. It had all the fixings such as mushrooms, onions & peppers, pepper jack cheese and a little mayo. This sand which was juicy and sloppy, just the way I like’em. They have a picnic table just to the side, a few small round tables inside, and some outside at the side of the establishment for eating.
Truth be told I would come back here just for the sandwiches and good service from the two attractive women working behind the counter. Haha! If the meats I bought taste half as good as what my friend told me than I am in for a treat!
