Great place to stay! Clean, quite, comfortable. A hidden gem outside of Gunnison. My regular HI Express was booked up so I tried this one. This place is well cared for and the rooms are fresh and clean! Must stay! My daughter is going to school here so I stay in Gunni often. I will be back!

If we are ever in Gunnison again, we will definitely stay here. Clean, quiet, enclosed hot tub, in room refrigerator and microwave, great owner, comfortable bed, reasonably priced.

Wellll — we made reservations at another privately owned motel in Gunnison BUT upon arrival the room had literally(the couple were actually checking in) just been given out Disappointed yes but the manager took full responsibility gave us $ 10 to help offset higher prices. Here we are at The Rodeway Inn — don’t be led astray it’s a roadway in name only. TWENTY star extremely professional owner accommodating w/a high– standard of service. The eclectic room is exceptionally clean also includes breakfast & a new hot tub ~ oh the grounds are well maintained /we are 20*‘s HAPPY Oh btw, I’m one picky person After a very quiet comfy sleep we continue to be VERY happy we chose Rodeway Inn — and they don’t use the cheapest tp that many higher end hotel/motels use

We stopped at the Rodeway Inn in Gunnison on Friday, August 29th. It was hard to find. They have a smallish sign and we drove right past it heading east, all the way to the east end of town before starting back through, stopping at the visitor’s center and asking directions. It ended up being quite a ways from the heart of Gunnison. The room was very clean, but the supplies were limited. We had the handicap room and I felt like there should’ve been more accoutrements, perhaps more furniture conducive to those with physical challenges. Perhaps more towels. The free breakfast was okay, but limited – the only fruits were some bananas that were still a bit green. More on the plus side, the manager was very nice and the grounds were well-kept. So, not spectacular, but good for the price.

4 stars is pretty darn good for a roadside motel. Staff was super friendly… they allow pets. Rooms were clean and cheap. It ain’t the Ritz. You get safe place to rest your head while you’re on your way through the area. Not the kind of place you’ll hang out, but if it’s just a place to rest… you’re good to go. And breakfast was pretty darn good for a little inn. Good selection of stuff… waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, OJ, Coffee, Bagels, Pastries. They offered us some to go as we checked out. Nice owners!

Owner is great. And for the price so is the motel. Clean rooms. Convenient location near the airport and the Gunnison River.

I stayed here while visiting a friend in Gunnison. The guy at the front desk was super helpful and pleasant. The room was cheap, clean, and larger than expected. Water pressure in the showers was good and even the coffee was tasty! The maid came through and did an excellent job cleaning everything up while we were away. I will definitely stay here again!

Excellent customer service! The guy who runs this place is on top of everything and accommodates his guest as if it were a five-star hotel. Also, has that authentic homey Colorado touch.

Clean room and friendly service. Great low rate. Typical hotel free hot breakfast. Basic and sufficient. It’s not gourmet, so take it or leave it. Bring your own toiletries; the ones provided are skimpy and cheap, but it’s a family owned establishment so you can’t blame them for trying to save some pennies. I’ll be back.

The rooms were quiet and clean. Lots of hot water. The bed was king sized. It was not too soft or too hard. The management was very accommodating. We had an early morning schedule. They encouraged us to return for breakfast and cooked up sausage and egg patties for us. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of cereals, baked goods and beverages. The price was reasonable.

We spent a few nights here with our daughter on a college visit to WSCU. Margaret(co-owner with her husband) was extremely helpful. Anything we needed or wanted, she’d provide. If we wanted an early breakfast; no problem. If we wanted extra pillows; no problem. Hotel is constructed probably 50 years ago — yet rooms are clean; beds are solid; linens/towels great quality(surprising for a Rodeway). Rooms are big. Can’t walk to town — yet we took a good walk along the river from the motel — and it is a very easy drive to Hartman Rocks. For the price, you can’t go wrong. And… as it is owned by great people — they will help you with ANYTHING.

Mildly creepy. Not totally creepy. Just mildly. The exterior is pretty sparse and in below average condition… not falling apart but not fantastic. Potentially gross. Totally borderline. Seriously, right on the line. The fiancé and I ended up staying here after our plans changed. We were in Colorado for a wedding and due to a last minute event popping up, we ended up in western Colorado earlier than expected and in need of accomodations. It was the only place we could find with vacant rooms on a about 26 hours notice. In terms of cleanliness, this place is right on that threshold for what is acceptable in a budget motel. Most people who are willing to stay in budget motels when traveling, are pretty tolerant people. They will put up with things that many, many others will not(I once had a roommate who wouldn’t stay at ANY thing less than Four Seasons! I’ve definitely never been afforded this luxury, so I learn to tolerate less than perfect conditions.) Anyways, yeah, place coulda been cleaner… I spotted a couple teeny, tiny insects near the bathroom sink(which was in the room more or less… only the toilet/shower were separated from the rest of the room). That was definitely my indicator to put my damn flip flops back on! And to not let any of my belongings(that intend to touch my skin) hit the floor. I also decided to keep my suitcase closed just in case when not in use. It’s not the worst I have been in. We once stayed in a place where we decided it best to sleep in our full-on daytime clothes in our sleeping bags for fear of touching anything. And to not use the bathroom expect to go pee and wash hands. This was not that bad. The room also had a weird old person/medicine smell. I could not determine if the smell was 1.) permanent 2.) due to the previous guest or 3.) due to possible old people in the room next door(the manager’s apartment??). Not sure what was going on but it was weird. Décor is standard budget motel stuff. Pros: HBO, «fitness center» aka a room w/treadmill, bike &TV(good enough when travelling), breakfast not terrible, some of the staff were friendly(eastern European woman) and well-intentioned, close proximity to edible restaurant, easy to spot on the highway, low price, free wi-fi. Cons: Insects, there cars parking like literally a foot from the room windows, there were a lot of motorcyclists there(I’m not anti Harley, its just that those bikes are kinda loud, especially collectively. I don’t know that I’d stay here again if passing through. Definitely not my 1st choice but if nothing else is available, you won’t die due to ax murderers, ghosts, germs or cockroaches.
