I ate here for the second time yesterday. They have redone the place since last time I was there. It is very unique, to say the least. An awesome place. Food is very good. Will be back. Staff was very nice.

Cool vibe but bbq was sub par at best. We visited from Texas and were very disappointed. Sauce comes on bbq, which to most Texans means something is wrong. Sausage and brisket were blah and overpriced. 3 pickles and half an onion piece came with it. Very disappointing food for the publicity it has received. Save yourself the out of the way drive and go somewhere in town.

This place is trying really hard to be quirky, funky, and charming, but just comes off as kitschy and cliched. I’d completely overlook this overreaching flaw if the food were something to write home about, but it isn’t. The meat didn’t have much flavor, and no amount of too sweet sauce could remedy that. The sides were equally insipid, each with its own flaw. In its favor, it might be a good place to watch some music and crack some cold ones with a big batch of friends. And it could have been a bad night, but seriously, when we visited, the food was about on par with that of a rural TX Luby’s some time after the Sunday church rush. There’s gotta be better ‘cue around!

The best pulled pork I have had in a long time. The potato salad was great as were the green beans. Will go back if we get back to the area.

The Shed is the place to be. Courtney is the most refreshing employee who will take care of your every want. The food is at its best! Best smoked brisket, pork, ribs, sausage, potato salad, beans, slaw, corn, and PRICES on the coast. You will be treated as a good customer should be! Don’t miss the best award winning BBQ originated by the Orrison family! And be sure to sign the wall

3 stars are based off the food. The food was okay, I’ve actually had better BBQ other places despite all the accolades and awards the shed has received. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato casserole and Mac and cheese. The sweet potato casserole was the highlight of the meal. Delicious. Everything else was good but I wasn’t blown away… the service at this location was terrible. It seemed like nobody knew what was going on at all. My buddy got his order and it was wrong not once but twice. He gave up after the second time and just ate. The manager was kind enough to give us some fried pickles on the house so that was much appreciated. I don’t think I would return to this location based of this visit though.

Service was terrible. 2 hour wait to get a $ 16 cold bbq sandwich and didn’t even let us know. Don’t come here for a pitstop

Food is mediocre; service is unimpressive. Order was wrong/incomplete multiple times in the same visit. Go to the other location. Stay away from this one.

Great place to get some BBQ. Working here for a few months and was craving some BBQ. I had the ¼ lb beef brisket sandwich with a sweet tea. I will definitely be back for more. The reason I gave it 4 stars is I wish they would put more sauce on the sandwiches. Next time I will ask for extra sauce.

They don’t win bbq competitions every year as a fluke. Great food! Great people! Great atmosphere!

Barbecue is just okay. We stopped by for lunch and nearly everything from our order was messed up in some way that I needed to point out. We were charged incorrectly, then given the wrong appetizer, then missing food from our larger order.

Off the beaten path and literally a shed. The décor is eclectic and you can write on the walls. Plenty of outdoor seating. I had the brisket which came with two sides. The brisket was tender and delicious. The mac n cheese was the best I have ever had. The sweet potato fries were lacking but not terrible. Very friendly service. They do serve alcohol, just beer I believe.

I have had better from Dickies back up on the 49. This places was talked about because years ago it was on a show, that doesn’t make it taste better. We went there we ordered some food only to have dry meat with no flavor put into our mouths. I really like to give these places a shot because they are not chains, but this one needs help or maybe it is just the lack of taste buds here in the south. But I can also see why it has very low rating. Read the other ones and you will see that you can save a dollar by not going here.

I’ve had a lot of BBQ at my own hands and I’m really impressed with someone else’s BBQ that outdoes mine(not too hard to do). I just wasn’t impressed here. It was just ok. I know, they were on TV with one of those traveling chefs, but I think they knew the chef was coming, and we didn’t give any advance notice. We ate lunch here two days in a row which gave me the opportunity to try different items. The quantity of food on a ‘plate’ is great. The plates are a choice of meat, two sides, chunk of corn on cob, and a thick slice of white bread. My critique : Sausage flavor was inconsistent from day to day, but still good sausage. Sauce was good and plenty but not as spicy or tangy as I like. Brisket was just a tad tough/dry but good flavor and smoke Potato salad with bacon and sour cream was great. Beans were soso. Macaroni salad shell noodles were tough and chewy, not my favorite. Mac and cheese pasta was overcooked. Corn on cob was from freezer and was mushy. Fresh sweet corn is always my favorite. The ambience was exactly a shed inside and out. Lots of cool memorabilia. Not an easy place to get to. Bathrooms outside in back of patio area.

This was our first time eating at The Shed. The brisket and ribs were average. The sweet potato casserole was amazing. You must choose this one as your side dish. The meat was overcooked and had too much sauce, in my opinion. Highlights: the atmosphere. It was quirky and smelled fantastic. Disappointments: the corn on the cob. Will I go back? Yes. But when they are live music so I can sit outside with a beer and a bunch of appetizers.

Our friend heard about place while playing Blackjack at a casino, so we had to try it out. We arrived to what we thought was the set from the old Sanford and Son TV show. It literally looks like a Gypsy Caravan broke down here. It’s great. We go inside and it’s pretty much clutter and graffiti with Southern charm thrown in. The 5 of us ordered everything the had to offer, except Brisket, since they were out. Everything was great, for me the best was the Baby Back Ribs, just terrific. Also I love the Jalapeño Cheese Curds. Fun place, great food and very attentive staff. Would recommend.

Just had to try this after seeing it on the food network. The hype was more than the actual unfortunately. The BBQ was OK but not worth going out of your way. The meat was fall off the bone but the flavor just wasn’t there. The BBQ sauce is good but they give you the smallest amount they can find. The sides were great but again small even though they call them a large. This place has potential but unless they change I wouldn’t waste a trip to eat there again. We got the jumbo sampler with all the meats and 3 sides. The Potato salad was awesome but in what is a small container at any other restaurant. The Mac and cheese was uneventful and would have been better getting to Potato salads. The Sweet Potato casserole was very tasty but sadly to small considering they claimed the jumbo serves 3 – 5 people. The location is way out of the way if you are passing by. The building is unique and lives up the the name. They have allot of eclectic things to make it seem very country. The service was pretty good. Wish it was better but I call it like I see it.

This place was just A-OK as the three star comment says on Unilocal. We ordered the Wisconsin Cheese Curds and Shed Sampler Platter. The cheese curds were good, but they were not Wisconsin style(aka delicious beer battered), they were more like mozzarella sticks. The Shed Sampler Platter had plenty of food for mom and me we ended up splitting: Baby Back Ribs, Spare Ribs, Pork, Brisket, Chicken, Sausage served with French Fries, Macaroni and Cheese, Coleslaw, and 2BBQ breads. The sides were not that great, the brisket was a bit tough, but we did enjoy the ribs, pork, chicken and sausage. The restaurant itself was pretty cute and quirky, there is a big sand pile that kids can play in(tip do not sit close to it because some brats threw sand at us). Make sure if you order your drink you ask for your cup, we weren’t givien our tea glasses until after we complained that our cheese curds and drinks didn’t come.
