Salty’s is the local hangout for students from Stetson Law School– any night of the week you can stop by and find some aspiring lawyers making the most of a rare free evening. But it is also the local bar for lots of Gulfport. It is a casual place, but the service is always fast and fair– the small staff does a good job of serving everybody in a reasonable order. The drinks are good, the people are fun– in the winter there are fires to warm up by, bar games, often live music and big televisions. If you haven’t been you should really go and check it out. It is a great place to kick back, relax, and have fun.

Great place especially when surrounding restaurants and bars are so packed you cannot move. Indoor bar with seating, arcade style games. Huge outdoor deck(s), with a pool table, ping pong, corn hole, etc. Very fun bar.

I dig this place. Sometimes it’s hard to get drinks when they’re busy. But good prices, good people and a view of the bay. Great place to get wasted with your friends or make some new ones.

Salty’s is always a great place to hang out! Plenty of outdoor games and sometimes live music. They only serve drinks, which are very reasonably priced, and they welcome carry out food from neighboring restaurants!

This place is awesome. I have been here a few times now and is always a great time. The bartenders all are very personable and the drink specials are great as well. Not a bad place for a Sunday Funday. They have a nice patio and a great view of the water. They have had a band play a couple times also. They do not serve food here but I am totally ok with it because there are a number of places to get take out then just head back in. Over sized jenga game set up in the back which is fun when hanging with friends and makes a fun drinking game. Dog friendly is always a good thing as well! Check it out!

Awesome place! Great bar with a good view. Bartenders are awesome and friendly, ambiance is very chill and everyone is very welcoming. Drinks are cheap! Whats even better is the fact they are a dog friendly bar!

Love this place! Tons of games to play! Corn hole is my personal favorite. My girlfriend and I go with another couple and we split a couple buckets of beer and sometimes shots and out tabs have never been over $ 60 when you add them together. Four 20somethings drinking for 5 hours on less then $ 60 is pretty awesome. It is an older crowd most of the time. Which is awesome. We are grad students and the worse thing is being at the bar with the undergrads we teach. Live music is always awesome. But depending on where you sit it can be too loud. Past reviewers have commented on the amount of lesbians. Frankly, you c an never have too many lesbians. Could always be gayer. Also puppies.

There is 36 seconds left in my game and the owner decides to change the channel. My game is on one television in the entire bar and she changes it saying, ‘the afternoon games are on.’ My team is down by 5 points and on the 2 yard line and you change the ONE tv with my game on and get angry at me when I get upset. Then you get even more upset when I ask for a manager and you say, ‘I am the owner.’ Well, I am the CUSTOMER and I spend lots of money here every week. Take YOUR attitude and poor customer service and shove it. NOT a way to run a business, especially when you advertise as a place to watch the games.

This place is by far my favorite dog-friendly watering hole! We live in Tampa and drive to Salty’s in Gulfport quite frequently. The amount of outdoor games and overall atmosphere of this bar make patrons want to come back for more. Although I love bringing our Shih Tzu with us wherever we go, I would avoid bringing your furry companion on Friday & Saturday nights – the place gets pretty full and rowdy, in a good way. Great location, great drinks, full of dog-lovers! A win-win, in my book! Keep up the good work, Salty’s Gulfport.

Stopped in for the first time right before the 2014 World Cup match of US vs Portugal(game #2); place was completely packed but still managed to get service very quickly at the boat bar. My wife and I had our baby with us too and thankfully the indoor area is non-smoking, so no problem there, and all the regulars were very nice and welcoming, so we didn’t get any kind of bad vibe. First thing to note; this place doesn’t have food, but you can bring food in, and there are a bunch of close options. Second, if you aren’t comfortable with dive bar bathrooms, you will not be comfortable here. It’s one urinal, one stall for the men, and the stall wall doesn’t even go higher than about five feet, so you’re not getting any privacy. Not that it matters, I’d leave before I sat on that toilet if I had to go that bad lol. Now, the venue is great. Free parking on the city streets and it wasn’t hard to come by a spot. It’s across the street from the water and beach, but it’s Gulfport beach, so I wouldn’t go swimming. It’s great to go walk on the pier during the sunset and evenings though and then you’ve got a great bar to start out at or come back to. There’s a very large outside area the same size as the indoor area. There are numerous bar games like jumbo size jenga, connect 4, cornhole, skiball, pool, etc. There’s live music, at least when we were there. Like some of the other reviews mentioned; many think it’s a gay bar, and a lot of the clientele were, but there were really plenty of all types, young, old, gay, straight, all colors and races; I really liked it, there was a lot of diversity and everyone was having a great time. Outside you can smoke, and I saw smokers of all types including pipes and cigars. There are tons of fans so it isn’t bothersome. Inside no smoking and no smoke smell. Inside there are televisions all over the place, including a projection screen which had World Cup on during the match and then baseball after. They have a bunch of Rays stuff scattered about the walls so they probably show Rays games. All of the service staff were very friendly. I had to run out to the car for a work issue and took longer than expected, the bartender asked my wife if she wanted her to put my beer on ice until I got back. Drink-wise, they have some very good drink specials and I would recommend taking advantage of them. I started out with a long island but it was $ 8 and not *that* strong. Strong enough that I’d call it a $ 6 value but $ 8’s pushing it. I switched to $ 3.50 rum & cokes which were much better value. Beer was a good price too. For those of you who like the control the music, they have a Touch Tunes box there, so you can play what you want via the device itself or use your Touch Tunes app on your phone. My ratings are relative to the type of venue I’m rating, and since this is a dive bar, beach bar or whatever you’d like to call it, it’s pretty decent as they go. If the bathroom were larger and not quite so nasty, and the long islands were a dollar less, I’d probably have gone five stars. Certainly will be back.

No, you’re not crazy; there are an extraordinary number of lesbian patrons. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Popular place; people seemed to be having a good time. But half of our group thought we stepped into a gay bar and had to look it up online to see if we did. LMAO. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.)

It was a rainy day and your bar started our vacation off right. Our father now loves drinking fireball. Sorry for falling on my face while dancing. Thanks for getting our cab. Best night ever. Go to Salty’s for an awesome time, rain or shine.

We are huge Salty’s fans. We usually go on Sundays. Beer prices are low which makes my wife happy. I just wish Sangria was cheaper. Other nearby bars have $ 4 and $ 5 sangria so it kinda stinks to pay more at Saltys. I love the atmosphere and outdoor area. Also love that they allow dog rescues to come with their adoptables. I’m not a fan of the jenga games they have only because when you are so relaxed and enjoying your cocktail with a side of ocean breeze, the dang thing falls and people start screaming :/I think, besides the view, the best thing about Saltys is the vastly different people they draw in. From the lawyer to the motorcycle guy, the homeless fellow and the lady with blue hair, college students to 40 something’s, gay men, lesbians and straight people. Everyone is there and everyone is friendly. Reminds me of San Fran and I just love it!

Nice addition to Gulfport’s beach scene! I came here with a few friends after dinner and I was a little hesitant because I’m an O’Maddy’s girl at heart. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s newly updated and it very open allowing the breeze in and out so smoke isn’t a huge issue. Out back on the patio you can be active and play corn hole. There are also fun life size games, like jenga and connect four. There is only one pool table, which stays busy. For entertainment, they have a place for live music, lounging, and dancing. For drinks, the offer a variety of drinks as it’s a full service bar. I had an ice cold Miller Lite. The service was average. My only compliant is that the bathroom is very tiny. It could be considered a hazard for highly intoxicated people. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will check it out again.

Music was very good. Service at the Boat bar good. Drinks were OK… Nothing really fabulous. Ordered a Lemon drop shot. It was OK… Atmosphere very chill and very easy to relax and talk. I do not know if they offer food. We only had drinks. But, Bathroom(Ladies) was clean. very compact, but clean! :)

I wish all reviews could start this way. They have skee ball. The best game ever. Its not the wooden ball skee ball but its skee ball… and its fun. If you get a certain score you get a prize of incense and myrrh. I like Salty’s because its very open. You never really feel closed in even when there are a bunch of people there. You feel like you are always outside. Lots of outdoor games like cornhole and jenga and there is a pool table inside… where you play pool. TV’s…bunches. A boat? Yes. Only half. It doesn’t float. The bathrooms are hilly. Liquor and beer… yes. Still… no bar that carries Sol. Pickle backs. Yes. They also have live music. Cover band type stuff. This is just a good spot. I like everything about it. Good vibe.
