Went in for a simple trim, ended up with the perfect cut before the holidays! Stacey was very friendly and made it a very fun experience. She was great about asking exactly what I wanted and tailoring the cut to my style. I also came in as a walk in, so I appreciated the prompt and excellent service. Will be back in a month or so for another cut!

I’m weird — when I go to a small salon, I always try to request the owner. So, I got Alexander himself to cut my hair. He was the most friendly, most professional, most personal hair stylist I have EVER had. He really took care trying to help me find the right cut, he really is a great stylist and I can see why people love coming here.
I wish I had spoken up and trusted what I knew I liked vs. What he thought would work, though. I have, and keep, long hair — usually hovering between bra-​strap length and waist length. I requested a cut that would give me body and grow out well. He took into account my face, stature, age, «look» I was going for, everything, and ended up doing some thing called «shadow layers» in my hair — basically, the under part of my hair was long, and the outer part was several inches shorter, and feathered.
It was styled so well going out that I thought it would look amazing and I left very pleased. However? I’m a no-​frills, kinda lazy gal when it comes to doing my hair. Down and straight, bun, ponytail, braid, that’s IT. When I’ve got half of my hairstyle 2 – 3 inches shorter than the rest… it sure makes it hard to do the hairstyles I love! In fact, it didn’t even work right when I styled it the way I do — the shorter layer flipped out and it looked like I had two different hairstyles battling each other.
It wasn’t cool.
A lot of people DO like that kind of hairstyle with longer hair, I won’t fault them for that. However, personally I feel it looks tacky and cheap, so not long after I went and got it fixed at Randy Barras Salon & Friends.
I’m reluctant to come back here — I had a wonderful experience while I was there, but my results were so disappointing I don’t want to return. Conflicting. Stylee, go at your own risk :)
I would have given only two stars, but the owner is such a nice people person and is so attentive to his clients that I had to add another star.
