$ 67+. 4 Dozen raw oysters later. Good food. Frys were very good also. Complaints: Place was very cold. Turn down A/C. Waitress was not real friendly. Maybe a bad day, but it seemed as if she hated to be there. If the place we’re warmer and waitress was friendlier they may have gotten more money out of me. All in all Nice place.

Our family loves the food, even better with a lunch menu with better prices. Crawfish days are the best!

I came into town as a visitor, searched for an oyster bar, read the reviews and ended up at Dave’s. My wife and I sat at the bar. I ordered a dozen raw. The bartender shucked them right in front of me which was kinda strange. What was more strange to me is he was tossing about one in three or four in the trash. I asked and he said, it was not a great batch we got, some are a little dry. It reminded me of seeing my local north Alabama oyster bar wetting the oysters just before they get ready to serve. WOW, now I understand. The oysters were awesome and my wife’s kitchen meal was great.

The atmosphere was very nice. The food was fast and the oysters were fresh and tasted great. Also for non-seafood eaters, the blackened chicken was great. It took a while to get our drinks out and refilled, but other than that there are no complaints.

The food is as good as the staff are as friendly! If you are in the Navarre area, make a trip to this incredible restaurant. Their famous oysters(both raw and baked) turned a oyster hater into a believer. Plus plenty of delicious options for land lovers too(chicken quesadilla is recommended)! Daily specials and convenient location. Thanks to Valerie for an awesome experience!

All there oysters and appetizers are amazing. The Nola style shrimp are delicious and spicy. Cajun Parmesan oysters are my favorite. The only thing I didn’t really like was the shrimp d’val. It’s an squires taste though with the mushroom sauce they use over the rice. I was looking for something more spicy.

Oysters were delicious… fresh! As good as any that we have had on the coast! The baked oysters were equally good. Quite a few interesting and tasty choices. Enjoyed the seafood gumbo which included the favorite of all sausage. Conecuh… and seasoned just right! Our waitress Kim was friendly and fast. Perfect service and perfect food!!! We will be back!

While traveling across the FL panhandle en route to a Thanksgiving gathering, we wanted to find a great local restaurant with Po Boys– and other reviewers on Unilocal led us to this gem. There were five of us and we all ordered lunch. Some got oysters, some got Po boys, some got fish tacos. Every entrée was delicious, and the sides were fresh and wonderful too. The service was phenomenal and the establishment was clean, bright, well decorated– overall it is a really awesome restaurant– and we will try to stop by on our future trips to see our family!

Clay and I just had lunch. Our first time here and we really enjoyed it. So many oyster options! So close by I could walk. Blackened shrimp and grouper, hush puppies, Mac and cheese and cold beer served in a mason jar. Brandy our server was fun, friendly and attentive. A local business I recommend supporting.

A true oyster bar. Oysters shucked right in front of you. The new location includes a sit down restaurant with a full menu for lunch and dinner. They are closed on Mondays.

Clean, casual atmosphere and AWESOME(let me say it again) AWESOME raw oysters! Actually, everything we ate at this restaurant was spot on yummy(we came 2 x in the course of a week with a big group, and I tried lots and lots of the menu). I recommend the shrimp d’val if you’re in the mood for shrimp with a creamy sauce over rice(the shrimp were sweet and sautéed to perfection). The baked oysters were really good too. The service was friendly and good too! They have a decent bar with TVs too(if you have men in your life who like sports)! I like that they served their draft beer in cold mason jars. If I could, I would give this place six stars. This is a casual eatery you don’t want to miss if you’re in the area!

Great décor, but a bit noisy. Boiled shrimp done very well as was the gumbo. Oysters on the half shell were great! The oyster stew was more of a chowder, but flavorful and interesting. All of the sides tasted like canned food… watery turnip greens, sticky and tasteless mac & cheese, cold grits. The barbecued shrimp were very salty and a bit over cooked. I think once they get the kinks worked out this will be a great place.

The lunch crowd was steady on a Saturday but it wasn’t difficult to find seating. This would be a great place to watch sports and have some drinks, since there are various flat screens located throughout the restaurant. The bathrooms were new and clean and waitresses were friendly and helpful. The oysters came out very quickly! I recommend the dozen chargrilled oysters. It would be great if some of the baked options were also available chargrilled. The baked Cajun and Parmesan oysters were delicious as well. I can see how one reviewer thought there was too much Parmesan cheese. I liked it but it was definitely a lot. The oysters were large and filling. Finally we tried the soft shell crab poboy(very tasty). The cajun sauce was a bit spicy but a nice topping to the sandwich. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and would come again while visiting Navarre.

We randomly stumbled upon Dave’s while searching Unilocal for a nearby seafood restaurant that had oysters. Boy are we glad we did. We had a party of 6, and even on Memorial Day weekend at dinner rush, were seated in a reasonable time with a super friendly wait staff. We got a dozen raw oysters, dozen Cajun oysters, fried oyster dinner, soft shell crab dinner, chicken dinner, crawfish platter, EVERYTHING was amazing. Oh and did I mention the drink specials they had that night? Insanely cheap beers! Even aside from that, all of the food was super reasonably priced. We all agreed we had never had such giant and amazing oysters. It would have been worth it for the oysters alone, but the crawfish platter(they do it every other weekend following Easter). If you’re reading this review, just stop, close the Unilocal app, go to Dave’s, and thank me later.

Sadly this place was a huge disappointment. We waited a while for them to get their feet under them before eating at Dave’s. I asked about their wings, the waitress tells me they are very good, naked like I like them, THEN tells me oh we are out of them. Wow 7pm on a Friday night and you are out of wings? My background being in the restaurant industry that is unacceptable to be out of wings especially on a Friday early evening. I guess they don’t have the kinks worked out yet. Raw Oysters were good, cool, not cold like I like them, but whatever. My wife and I shared the fish dinner, asked the waitress if it was enough for two, and she said yes. We decide to get Grouper which was a $ 3 extra charge. So the meal was $ 15 We got one medium size piece of fish that had zero flavor and was overcooked, four hush-puppies and cheese grits that weren’t cooked and cole slaw that we told them not to bring because it wouldn’t get eaten. Our portion was even smaller then Ramsey L’s portion. For the price its a rip off, if it was $ 10 fine, or if they gave you a second piece of fish for the extra $ 3 dollars that you pay for Grouper then great, nope one piece. I gave the waitress feedback when she asked how everything was and if we got enough food. She looked shocked, I was nice, still gave her 20% but the place just isn’t that good. Overall, Kitchen was super slow, people all over the restaurant waiting for their food, no management in site to check in with people, letting them know the situation and to apologize. Food was overpriced for what you get, and the taste was very average if not poor. The Oysters were good. I would go back to try the wings and a cup of chowder, and have some Oysters.

Great oysters prepared in many different ways. Go with the steamed of the many baked varieties(odder them a little under-done). Very fair prices with good service. A no-frills type of joint, and that is just fine with me. I simply do not understand the negative reviews because I was most pleased.

Very noisy. Small portions. Overpriced. Paid $ 12 for a fish plate. Got 1 piece of fish and 2 small sides. My wife’s side of fried okra was cold. Waitress was slow to get our drinks and never refilled them. Don’t recommend. There are better places around. See photos of fish plate.
