Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Nicest guys ever! Curtis helped me out today and was the sweetest :) didn’t pressure me into anything, was very honest about what needed fixing and what didn’t. Made the whole experience personable and honestly, kind of entertaining. Will def be back!

Horrible, exoerience, it’s all about upsell. 100 dollars for oil change and air filter (which I did not need)…they try and slip in extra charges… when I asked for manager, ignorant guy said «I the manager, what you gonna do now»…monroe muffler next door for ¼ price… what a hard upsell by these guys… keep away

If you just need a quick oil change, this place is perfect. Very fast and friendly service. They will also do a quick safety check and properly inflate tires. If they try to sell you scheduled repairs, go see your regular mechanic.
My dog was in the car and we never had to exit the vehicle. Just great!

I’ve been a steady customer to Guilford Valvoline. NOW THEY HAVE LOST A LIFETIME CUSTOMER. Long story short I was impressed by their hard working appearance and positive down to earth attitude. I thought I was getting a deal. Then I went to get a usual oil change at the beginning of the summer and they told me my AC coolant was low. I the AC was still working and I didn’t have enough money to fix it so I said I’d take care of it later. Flash forward yesterday Sept. 9^th and I got another oil change. They were friendly and seeming well intentioned joking around as usual. I told them «I know I’m low on my AC and I don’t need my inside air filter checked don’t worry about it» They «Manager» then said «No everything checks out fine your AC is great» «Its just you need a NEW BATTERY, we can do it in 5 min no problem it will be about $ 125» I was a little skeptical but said thank you I’ll take care of it another time. I went to the HONDA DEALERSHIP the next day (today) expecting to be hosed for a new battery plus labor. They checked it on the spot and said my battery was in great condition. They said times were tough and not to go somewhere you coudnt trust. Turns out Valvoline would have cost me UNNEEDED AC FILLER AND A NEW BATTERY. THEY MUST THINK ALL YOUNG WOMEN ARE PLAIN DUMB. NEVER AGAIN! THEY WASTED MY TIME, LOST MY TRUST, AND THEY SUCK AT GETTING YOU A DEAL. You may say coincidence I say I was plain lied to twice. I wouldn’t go back if they gave me free services on my car.

My wife brought our car here. Our mechanic had replaced several front end parts, and told us that the replacement parts have grease fittings. He stressed how important it is that the front end get lubricated when the oil is changed. She specifically requested front end lubrication when she brought the car here. These guys told her «the front end parts are all sealed. There is no place to grease.» This is bogus. These guys are lazy and incompetent.

I usually wouldn’t bother to post a review about a chain oil change location but I brought my car here a few days ago and was so impressed by their competent service that I thought it was worth passing the tip along. This place is staffed by people who know what they’re doing: they’re fast, efficient, fixed a minor problem with my car’s hood free of charge and were very friendly. Make sure to pull down the discount coupon from the Valvoline website before you go.
