Blue Star Memorial Highway Rest Area

Clean, safe and decently lit parking area.
Stopped to walk the pup, use the facilities, get a coffee then take a nap. Yes I nap after drinking coffee, don’t judge me.
The dog walking area is not as well lit as the parking area, so be careful for land mines. Other than that it’s fine.
The mens room is clean, so is the small lobby of the main building. For snacks and refreshments you have to go into a second building, which is probably an oven in the summer considering it’s fully enclosed, the large front glass and dozen running vending machines — cooled only by a single fan above the door.
All in all, it’s a good stopping point.
