Every time we visit we are greeted at the door by their staff, and servers. Every meal we have had have been very good. Great place Dave

We’ve been going to the restaurant for the last few years. Always had good service and good food. Very reasonable on prices and a great selection of items.

The last two visits were back to back disappointments. The food quality seems to be going downhill. This past time I had the caldo de pollo con verduras(chicken soup with vegetables). Both the presentation and flavor were inferior. The soup looked like they had dumped a bunch of soggy vegetables on top. Flavor was lacking, the vegetables tasted old, and I had to dig to find the chicken this time. My wife ordered the sampler appetizer plate. Her reaction was similar to mine. It’s too bad. We used to really like this location. Next time it’ll be Señor Piqué.

We frequent this restaurant and are never disappointed. The food is always fresh and delicious, Estella & Emma are the best bartenders. Everyone makes us feel so welocome. They have a awesome patio.

Went for dinner last night. Ordered our meals and really emphasized the desire to have the meal served hot. Within 2 minutes our meal was served. Barely warm. We were really surprised this happened. They took the 2 meals back and heated up one, same meal mind you, left the other under a heat lamp at best. Very disappointed. If we had wanted fast food we would have gone to Taco Bell, which in this case, probably would have tasted better. What a bummer.

We popped in Friday night with a couple of friends. Surprisingly we were seated right away and only noticed a couple of times through the evening when anyone was waiting for a table, and it didn’t seem to be long. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Chips & salsa were good. Margarita was pretty good, too. I had the street tacos, which was marked as a new menu item: four tacos in soft corn tortillas(1 carnitas, 1 steak, 1 chicken, and 1 fish). Filling and great tasting! We’ll be back.

The food was really good, but the service was really bad. The waiter never wrote anything down and disappeared for long periods of time. Consequently, no second margarita :(

We live in Wildwood within minutes of the town center, and El Maguey is definitely one of our favorite go-to places close to home. It’s the best Mexican restaurant I’ve had in STL yet, and you get the best food quality/amount of food for what you pay. I almost always have leftovers. Love their chips & salsa and margaritas. My husband has gotten their burritos and a shredded chicken/cheese dish w/guacamole salad; I usually order their pick two choice, and have had burritos, enchiladas & tacos. So good. We go monthly! Would definitely recommend for any Mexican food lovers.

The food at this El Maguey is better than most of their locations. In fact, this is the only one that I’ve been willing to go back to on a regular basis. While the food is typically well prepared, the service is always mediocre. They are either rushing you to get out of there or nearly ignoring you. All in all, not bad, but not exceptional either. It’s definitely a step up from their other locations and also a nice change of pace from the other Mexican restaurants in the immediate area around Wildwood Town Center.

This is one of the nicest El Maguey’s I have been to by far. The location is prime, if you’re in the Wildwood area. You have an option of seating both indoors and outdoors. Indoors is very spacious, you aren’t crammed and there is light streaming everywhere that gives is a very airy feel and look. The staff is super nice, and they are always around to fill your drinks and your chips. Gotta love those chips! We usually hit it up at lunch time, and after running around, the food hit the spot. The lunch portions are great in size, and they always fill you up. They come out in record time and the plates are extremely hot indicating that its truly ready for consumption.

The Wildwood location has a large restaurant inside and a comfortable patio. The first time in I was in a hurry because of going to a movie nearby. They accommodated graciously. As for the food, I chose the pulled pork and love it here. Margaritas are a must, small or large. This has become a regular dinner out for me.

The food quality & service has dropped significantly. It used to be a fav on regular rotation, sadly it isn’t any longer due to the lack of service and lack of flavor in the food.

I specifically look forward to coming home to St Louis just so I can eat here(I mean, other than seeing my family of course), mainly because I am seriously obsessed with the white cheese dip. I can’t find it anywhere in NYC! I literally drown my food in it, and then feel guilty afterwards. The food itself is pretty good — standard Americanized Mexican food. I usually order one of the chimichangas. The food is hot, you get free(and warm) tortilla chips & salsa, and the service is fast and friendly. The margaritas are sweet and strong. The restaurant is very casual and you get an overall good meal for low prices. Great addition to the WIldwood Towne Centre.

Nice Caldo Tlalpeno. My wife loved the Pollo San Jose. And the Margeritas did have enough Tequila. Nice lunch out in a raining day!!! It is not a fancy restaurant but is is nice, decent food, good prices. Enjoy!!!
