Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbus Southeast

The cleaning staff seems to have an aversion to cleaning the coffee maker. The first morning I went to make coffee and there was residual coffee in the bottom of the pot from the previous guests. After rinsing the pot out and making coffee, I left the pot on the desk instead of returning it to the coffee maker. Upon returning to the room that evening, I found the coffee pot in the bathroom sink filled with water. Not sure if the pot had any cleaning detergents in it, I rinsed it several times. The next evening I came back to the room and there were no coffee cups in the room. I had to go down to the lobby and get cups from the breakfast area. There are several hotels in the area. We will be staying at one of the other chains the next time we are in Columbus.

Pretty average place. Decently clean. Ugly décor, beds not really comfortable, mediocre breakfast. The hot tub and pool are nice. Overall, totally forgettable.

Hotel was clean, bathroom was pretty spacious — lots of counter space which is nice for spreading out.
It’s fairly close to a major road and the noise is higher than expected but I was able to sleep fine. Beds are pretty comfortable. There is no actual desk or desk chair so working in my hotel room wasn’t very comfortable.
Staff is not stellar. They did not understand the problem or our questions, did not fix issues that came up, and were not very friendly. I will definitely not be staying at this location again. It definitely does not measure up to other Holiday Inn Express locations.

Unfriendly staff and management. I was very disappointed that they would not even try to address my concerns during my stay. I will never stay there again.

This is your basic Holiday Inn Express, but it’s a fairly new one and the bedding, fixtures etc are all pretty new or at least well maintained. The staff are helpful and pleasant. It’s location is not easy on easy off I-​70, you need a drive a little bit, but I’ve stayed here twice while driving back to STL, its it seems worth it. They are dog friendly here and lots of green space to give man’s best friend a good walk after a long day in the car. The free breakfast is better than most. The lot seems very secure and safe enough to leave a SUV full of gear in overnight.
