I’ve lived in groveland my whole life and never gone here because I’ve heard the worst stories. Came here tonight because we wanted to go somewhere local. My mother and i got the luau burger which comes with pineapple on it. Neither one of us tasted pineapple so I told the waitress and she said maybe the cook forgot and offered to get us some. Another girl came back and told us they are running out of pineapple and if we wanted more we would have to pay 2 dollars each… huh? Why would we pay them because they are running out of something? We finished our burgers and never found any pineapple. Also there were 5 of us and no one was too happy with their burger. Not sure how it’s still in business.

We showed up at 8:55 and kitchen closes at 9. I was reluctant to go in because I was sure we would be denied but my friends insisted. We went in and the waitress was very friendly and said we could put in our orders. I got the nacho burger and it was great. Great experience overall, I’m looking forward to coming back.

I called ahead to inform the staff that I was coming in with my service animal and they told me I couldn’t bring him. I didn’t even want to argue with the girl on the phone, although I know that denying a service animal is illegal. I was ok just going elsewhere for dinner. My husband was rightfully outraged and called back to tell the manager that it’s illegal to deny someone with a disability. I have never heard a more disrespectful business owner and I am outraged that someone would speak to us like that. We could hear the male owner in the background yelling at the girl we were on the phone with«fine, just tell them to come in!!» There was no no chance in hell that I was going to come in after that. Listen, I’m not going to sue you over this, but the next person may. Take a look at the law books and educate yourself.

This place boasts great food, I was not that impressed, mediocre is really the best I can give, O.K., that is all. Beer was good and fresh, Nacho app was pathetic, burger good, waitress was pretty good. Ok, ok, ok Not that bad Pretty good burger But nachos still blah

Been here a few times and go mainly because choices in Georgetown are very limited. Burgers are decent as long as the buns are fresh, but forget about the service. I’m not a technical«regular» so you always get looks from the staff when you walk in. Was there the other day and the teenage bartenders couldn’t care less about me, her and the manager(assume she’s the manager) were more interested in talking to the two 20 year old guys that had the worst pot smell coming from them and talking about how trashed they got with the bartender the night before Then getting me a refill. You get better service in the dining area. It’s really too bad, such great potential.

I don’t even think this place deserves one star… If you want to be a customer that gets no respect or customer service then this is the place for you. Not only can they do NO substitution like put chicken on your nachos(even if u were going to pay extra) because then«everyone else will want it» like what kind of excuse is that? BUT they also can’t change any of the tv’s. This isn’t what aggravated me. It’s the fact that they can’t say it with some class… It’s more like«UM, no we can’t change the tv bc it just doesn’t work that way» in the rudest voice ever. AND this was from the owner? You’d think owners would treat their customers with some type of respect. I’m just so sick of this place going on with their shenanigans and not having to pay the price. If you’re trying to find a friendly atmosphere to enjoy lunch/dinner, choose wisely.

LOVETHISPLACE! The fact that they have 97 burgers to choose from and the staff is always amazing makes it the best gem on the North Shore! The food is always constant, every time. My family and I always enjoy visiting!

When you call at 7:45 and ask if they are going to stay open till 9PM then they should stay open till 9. PM as stated. We packed up the family and arrived at 8:30 to the tune of the waitress informing us that they closed early because of the snow storm. Well didn’t they know that less than an hour earlier when we called. I then talked to the manager and she stated that they are a small business and can change the hours as t like! GREATWAYTORUN A BUSINESS. Not the first time this has happened. Do you self a favor and find a restaurant without the attitude.

A fun, local spot for good burgers. The other food options are also good. Parking is limit and there can be a bit of a wait for a table, but it’s usually not long. The staff is good, but can be hit or miss in terms of friendliness.

Lost it’s spot on my list of best burgers and fries. Frozen fries now. Burger came well when it was ordered medium. Seems they got lazy. Won’t be sending folks to the 97 anymore.

Horrible experience. Tried 3 times. Each time got worse. The grumpy A-hole listened in on our conversation about settling the bill. He sounded off from across the room that we should just add 20% to the bill and split 4 ways. Turned into a major blowout in front of my family. People Beware. The food sucks. The service is worse. And the atmosphere is cold, dark and dreary. FYI. The same family owns Café 97 and Par 97. I’m sure the experience at those establishments is «Sub Par» as well

For all of you who wrote bad reviews … It’s a small burger bar! The food is always great as well as the service. When I moved to the area the first time I was there with the bf we felt welcomed and taken care of. I always switch between the«healthy bunless» or rodeo. always consistent. I will continue to go here because I like it.

97 delicious burger options?! Okay I’m a fan. I really like this little gem– the burgers are very tasty and moist. They have any and every option you can ever want or imagine… burger served on mashed potatoes, burger without buns, cuban burgers, they’ve got it all. Fries were very tasty. The couple next to us had a pizza and that looked pretty tasty as well. As other reviews say– this is a beer and burger place. Expect a small neighborhood bar atmosphere with good cheap burgers(burger will cost you around $ 10). You want a fancy restaurant with a $ 30 burger– head to Boston.

We were in the mood for a good burger and thought that a place with 97 options of burgers would be an absolute hit. Well, yeah, the burgers were good. That’s about it. First off, it should never be listed as family dining. The«dining» area is a small, dusty little corner with poker machines in it. I felt uncomfortable having our 2 children with us. ESPECIALLY considering it was the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday and the bar was FULL of obnoxious drunks who were so loud we had to keep reassuring our children that everyone was okay — as townies were cheering obscenities over a horse-racing gambling game at the bar. We even overheard one of the waitstaff informing the table next to us that the guys screaming obscenities were pounding beers. We ordered our drinks and a fried pickle appetizer and asked for another minute to look at the 97 options of burger — about 15 – 20 mins later the waitress came over and apologized because she«Thought she already took the order»… it wasn’t busy(at the time we were the only ones in the«dining» area) and I witnessed the waitresses all sitting around and talking many times while we waited. The waitstaff seems clueless and unorganized — and definitely don’t seem to know anything about serving tables for people that want to eat — not just drink. The décor was Chef Robert Irvine’s worst nightmare. Outdated, dirty, hacky and VERY drab & dark. The only reason this place got 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food was good — although, if it looks that bad where the customers sit, I can only imagine what the kitchen must look like. We will NOT being returning.

My boyfriend and I went here a few weeks ago because we heard nothing but great things about their burgers. Well, they were right about the burgers! We read through the extensive 97 burger menu, and we were both pleased with what we ordered. We’ll go again to have a burger here for sure. If I could have one suggestion for the waitstaff at this place, it would be to have a list of beers on tap at the tables. The waitress had to read the draft list off of a piece of paper, and read it very fast. She looked annoyed when she read it, so I dared not ask her to read it again.

I can’t help go back to this place since it’s around the corner from our house. Mostly, I regret the decision every time. I’m not sure why, but the service and attitude has gone downhill from a year or two ago. Maybe it’s just hard to find good people, but you can get some pretty rude waitresses now who don’t like to give the cooks anything special. I’m not sure if this is the cooks’ problem, the owners’ problem, or the waitresses, but it ends up feeling like you should be so lucky to eat there, so just eat what they have on the menu with no changes. I wish the owner read these comments and actually cared. Their latest gimmick to try and drive traffic is the«97 burgers.» Really? That took a marketing genius to come up with, especially considering many of the«burgers» aren’t even burgers at all. Call me a burger snob, but a good burger really should stand on its own. If it’s so overwhelmed with side ingredients, it can easily hide the overcooked meat or what-not.(This is where a place like 5 Guys gets it 100% right.) So I see the«97 burgers» as a marketing gimmick — because the burgers are still variable in quality, depending on who you got cooking them and whether they’re busy or not. You might get a great burger here, but you’re just as likely to get a mediocre one that Wendy’s could’ve done better. And that’s why I’ve lowered my rating to 2 stars. This place is just too darned variable in its food quality, service quality, and friendliness. It’s more of a neighborhood hangout bar that happens to serve some food(if you’re really hungry). I’m not going back here except for the occasional draft.

Some places need a gimmick. Pub 97 has a 97-burger menu(and another menu with regular food on it). The burgers are hand-formed, not frozen, but just enough overcooked not to be sent back. The staff are just competent. There were no towels in the men’s room(but it was clean). They have keno(the lottery is a tax on people who are bad at math) and so many televisions(having them outside the bar costs a star), so nobody has to talk to their companions. It’s probably the best restaurant within 20 minutes of there.
