Don’t let the name fool you because they have the best Greek food in the world for dinner. I had braised lamb shanks that must’ve been cooked for 12 hours over rice with the best gravy I’ve ever had also had a prime rib and ribeye steak that was cooked to perfection with a beautiful mix of onions and mushrooms and peppers on top and there peanut butter and bananas Foster pancakes are to die for. This is absolutely a 5 star gem in south Lake County! MFK out!

We were taken aback of how good our breakfast was. The corned beef hash, was best I’ve ever had, so tasty! My niece loved her ham & cheese omelet with sausage links & was in heaven with her Chocolate Chip Silver Dollar Pancakes. They were so good, she didn’t even put butter or syrup on them! Looking forward to going back!

The food was great! We ordered the johhnys eggs Benedict, hungry jacks combo, Texas french toast, and flapjack johhnys. Loved the atmosphere. Great local place.

OMG — fabulous!!! Can’t believe it has taken us this long to try this place out! First off — wonderful and attentive service and out of this world food. We came in just after 10 am on Sunday, while busy and the parking lot was full, we were seated immediately. The expanded dining room is very spacious and comfortable. Our server was super nice and helpful as we considered what to order as it all looks great. Coffee never went cold/empty and after placing the order the food came out fairly quickly. My hubby ordered the Gyro Omelette with feta cheese and I ordered the 2 eggs and wanted to try 1 of the banana foster pancake — my FAVORITE! My hubby LOVED his omelette and is raving that it is the best omelette he has ever had. They have a Mother’s Day menu and we have reservations already. Great casual/local place to come for really great food. Must do! They do have outdoor seating and a good looking lunch menu that we will have to try soon too!

We were visitors to the area, on our way to go find birds west of Orlando. The skies were overcast and it was raining, so we decided to stop for breakfast to wait out the weather. I found Flapjack Johnny’s through Unilocal just as we were passing it. We felt very welcomed, especially by the waitress who could certainly tell that we were out-of-towners. I ordered eggs and the baklava pancakes — great food all around. The pancakes were like eating dessert for breakfast, no syrup needed! You do not need to be a local to enjoy this spot! And, for the record, the skies did clear up before we finished.

Delish! I always get the eggs Benedict and its consistently good. My husband swears by the biscuits and gravy. The staff are super friendly and the coffee is hot. You may have to wait a little on Sunday morning after church but it’s worth the wait!

Great place for breakfast/brunch. They have unique items like gyro & feta omelets and baklava pancakes as well as traditional pancakes, French toast and omelets. They serve lunch here as well but I am a breakfast lover

Just went there on a Sunday morning. The service was terrible waiter kept making excuses instead of just doing his job. The food did not live up to expectations. My father’s French toast was cold as well as my pancakes. My wife and father both thought it was a brand-new restaurant and that they were having opening issues but as we know it’s not a new restaurant.

We have given this place four chances, but we’ve decided we are done now. We love the music they play, and the service is usually quite good, so we had hoped to make it a regular stop since we live right in town. The food just isn’t cutting it, though. Yesterday I ordered a breakfast that came with a Belgian waffle. When it came out, it was just a dry waffle with a few sliced strawberries on it. I have never had such a bland waffle. Everywhere I’ve eaten them before had the fruit in some kind of liquid that could soak in and flavor the waffle and some whipped cream on it. I asked Danielle, our waitress about it, and she said that it’s always served that way. No syrup, no butter, just dry and inedible. My husband’s pancakes were dense rather than fluffy like normal pancakes. He had tried the pancakes once before, but the waitress had told him each batter was different, so he thought maybe he’d find pancakes he liked. These tasted like the others, and he told the waitress to just take them away. We got no kind of discount on the food we couldn’t eat either. We’ll be sticking with our tried and true Cracker Barrel from now on.

Thought we would try some place different, turns out we should have kept driving. Yes, like others, there was a wait, but not a long difficult wait. The service was spotty, very spotty. We had to ask several times for coffee refills, the original waiter never came back to check on us, just took the order and disappeared. I had pancakes, homefries and two eggs over easy. There was no seasoning whatsoever on the eggs, they were tasteless. The potato’s were cold, the pancakes were ok, however they had been cooked so long that the edges were crunchy. My wife had a ham and cheese omelet and declared it edible. «not bad» was her direct comment. We had high hopes for this place, unfortunately they were dashed on the rocks of hope. Sorry Johnny, we had visions of making this a regular place, now we will regularly bypass

What a surprise! The food was amazing and the staff was super friendly and attentive. So glad the place opened up a short distance from my home and will definitely give Cracker Barrel a run for their money. I plan on attending the Friday fish fry soon and look forward to trying some grits. If you are in the mood for brunch, look no further than Flapjack Johnny’s.

Not impressed… Thought we would try the new local place and it was a mistake. The homemade corn beef hash tastes like it came from a can… We noticed a dead fly in the desert case… When we pointed it out they did throw away the tray of baklava. good was just OK… But for a family of 4 and a $ 40 breakfast I expected more. OJ tastes like from concentrate, can’t be a successful breakfast spot in the middle of orange groves selling OJ out of a machine like you would find in a low end hotel. Echo the other comments about needing a bug zapper… Do yourself a favor and head to KeKe’s in Clermont of Waffle House for that matter.

This place was surprisingly GOOD. Really good. It’s small inside but plenty of parking. It hasn’t been opened for long. Their grand opening is on May 9th. It’s a breakfast/brunch type of restaurant. The service was quick and our waitress was very friendly. Also, if you fill out a little form that they have with your birthday info, you’ll get a FREE dessert on your birthday!

We decided to try out Flapjack Johnny’s for the first time this past Saturday. Maybe we just came at an off time, but we weren’t particularly impressed. There seemed to be a general sense of disorganization. When we arrived, we were just greeted with«Name?» and nothing else as we awkwardly hovered around the entrance. Usually, restaurants will tell you that«There’s a 15 minute wait… we’ll call your name» or something to that effect. Were they just being friendly by taking our name? Was there a wait? Where were we to stand? We were finally seated and our booth just felt… dirty. There was a dark brown stain on one of the booth cushions and our bowl of coffee creamers consisted of two of them, one of them used. We did have to wait a little while for coffee refills when empty. Our server would disappear for extended periods of time, only to be seen waiting tables outside. We gave up waiting for spoons to stir our coffees and used our knives. I would say the biggest complaint I had was actually the coffee. It literally was the wost restaurant coffee I’ve ever had. It had a «convenience store at midnight» kind of taste, complete with grounds at the bottom of the mug. We thought that the initial cups were maybe the end of the pot, but the subsequent refills were just as horrible. Now, the good… the pancakes were indeed excellent and the portions were huge! We each took half our large stacks home and were able to make 2 full breakfasts out of them. I had the baklava pancakes and they were very unique and tasty. Since we live in the very southern part of Lake County, the drive was around 20 miles and if we were to drive that far again, we would much rather prefer our old standby, Keke’s, unfortunately.

This is probably the best breakfast in lake county. I had the banana fosters waffle with 2 eggs over medium, turkey sausage, and home fries. My wife had a short stack of pancakes with bacon. Her pancakes were delicious and nutty with the perfect amount of fluffyness. They must use buckwheat flour in their pancake mix. Her bacon was crisp and cooked perfectly. My waffle was fresh and crisp and the banana fosters is a genius topping for a waffle. The home fries were cooked fresh and weren’t over or under seasoned like most places. Their turkey sausage is probably the best you’ll ever have anywhere. You’d never guess it was turkey. The staff was friendly and attentive. Management/owner was present and you could tell that he love working there. Ticket times were great and we got our food fast. I hope they’ll be around for a long time. My new favorite breakfast joint.
