They did a thorough and comfortable eye exam and did not make me feel pressured with sales.

Yeah … I’m getting older. It had become apparent the my eyesight for reading was no longer stellar and need to do something about it. I first visited Southwest a few years ago based on a recommendation from a coworker. Southwest also participates with VSP insurance plan. I recently returned because I was overdue for an eye exam and needed new glasses. Each of the doctors have been very personable. They take their time to listen to your needs as well as explain what is happening in easy to understand language. Their staff have been professional and responsive. They have a wide array of eyewear available. The staff take their time in helping you to select the right fit for yourself at varying price points. They’ll explain the different options available. My glasses were available as promised. Their office is off of Hoover Road, but sits back off of the road. The signage out front is not very big. As I am not a regular person in the area, I did drive by their location a few times. They have plenty of parking space. Office hours vary from one day to the next, but they do have some evening hours and Saturday. As this is across town for me, I am grateful for the Saturday hours, but you will need to schedule ahead. The office is good about following up with you for an annual check-up, sending post-cards and one of those auto calling features to remind you that you are due for check-up. Their persistency can be a bit much, but they do strive to stay in touch with the patients. But, I really did need to get my eyes check. I feel comfortable here, even if it is a bit of a drive for myself, and have come to trust the eye exams and eyewear services.

Mediocre service, but very annoying phone calls. Despite messaging their website and telling them I don’t want calls any more, they’ve continued to do so. I went once and they thought it necessary to call for the next 2 years.

Can I cut and pâté De C.‘s review? :P It seems we both run parallels in our story so why waste the time! :D I was 3 years into my last eye exam with some problems that needed addressed and boy were they addressed! The doctor was spot on with my problem. I took the advice she gave and now its time for my follow-up appointment. Wish me luck!

I found this place through my insurance provider VSP. The website is where you want to make your first stop at. It’s very clear and easy to navigate. Clients have access to the office calendar to view what times are available and make an appointment. Plus, if you’re a first time client they provide the paperwork online that you can fill out prior to your appointment. You’ll get a confirmation email of the scheduled appointment. A few days before and on the day of my appointment, I got phone text reminders. Dr. Marie Schiff is very professional, kind and very understandingly honest. The exam itself didn’t feel rushed and she worked with me. The office staff is wonderful hosts, prompt and was very willing to help. They have separate staff to specialize in each part of a client’s appointment. I didn’t feel rushed and everyone was easy to talk to. When it came time to find a new pair of glasses and fitting I didn’t feel rushed or ignored. Since I had a pretty good idea what I had in mind, we got to spend more time to get a good fitting and other extra’s that I actually wanted. Then when I came in to pick up my glasses, they made sure I had a good fit and that I was overall happy with my new glasses. I would definitely recommend Southwest EyeCare to anyone’s eye appointment. I only wish I had learned about them sooner. Thanks again. Update 3÷13÷14 — I called to inquire about fixing a previous pair of glasses that never quite fit right.(Since then I found a substitute pair through them) The helpful and understanding person on the phone found that since these frames were still under warranty, that they could easily replace the frames as long as I bring in the old pair to use the original lenses. They were wonderful about helping me with my favorite pair of glasses that I got through them. Thanks again!!!
