First of all hands down the best take-out«Chinese» food in Grove City. Have been to the Sunday Brunch twice. Great Sushi, soups, and assorted entrees. This is a great value and allows you to sample many items that are offered on their regular menu. Lunch Sushi specials are great as well(offered thru the week) if you miss the Sunday Brunch Buffet This place is local owned by a long time Asian restaurant family(Evergreen in Hilliard), Also family friendly !

I had high expectations for this place after reading the reviews and I hate to say it but I wasn’t nearly as impressed as most other Unilocalers. There’s an attractive restaurant inside the Texas Roadhouse exterior. I’d call it Japanese-Contemporary. The menu is an extensive Sushi and Chinese mix and the server was really nice. The Kung Pao Shrimp and Scallops had a very upscale presentation and that’s the good part as it was OK, but not that great tasting. I ordered very spicy and got maybe medium. My dinner wasn’t steaming hot when it came out. It was just barely warm when it hit the table so I figure it they made it immediately when I placed my order but held it until I finished my soup. Unfortunately my server never did a check back so I couldn’t tell him about it. When he did come back was after I set my plate to the end of the table after I finished what I was going to eat. He did offer a box but didn’t ask how things were or offer me another drink. There was only myself and a family in the restaurant by the way, so he wasn’t like he was busy. He was super nice and friendly but he really gave little in the way of service. So I dunno. My thoughts are that for a almost $ 26 for soup, dinner and a Tsingtao, it could have and should have been better.

This place is pretty A-OK. It’s nicer for dining in than other Asian places that are more carry-out based. The remodeling was done nicely and it feels very clean and not at all like the Texas Roadhouse that was there before it. The menu consists of Japanese and Chinese dishes, relatively Americanized(but that’s what most people want, right?). I usually go for the Japanese side, sticking with the Miso soup(~$ 3) and a couple of sushi rolls(about $ 10-$ 12 for specialty rolls). The sushi is okay, which is fine since there aren’t many other Sushi options for people in the Grove City area. Overall pretty typical though, nothing mind-blowing. Same goes for the Crab Rangoon($ 6) — all pretty standard. Service is friendly and quick, almost too much so. I appreciated being taken care of but I also felt a little rushed through parts of my meal. Especially when there were maybe only 4 other people in the entire place. I’m not sure how crowded they get on weekends, but every time I’ve visited on a weekday Sogo seems a little dead. They do have a full bar, which is nicely designed and has a couple of flat-screen TVs. I hear they do a sushi buffet on Sundays until 2 or 3 — curious to try but I won’t be running there. Bf is weird about buffets anyway… If you’re in the area and craving Asian, give Sogo a shot!
