Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

I only have one small bad to say about this place and it doesn’t even make it lose a star because their BREAKFAST is just that good. The negative thing is that lunch and dinner are. well, it’s café food. BUT… if you’re hankering for a giant omelet with some super soft and delicious pancakes, this is your place.
We come here probably way too often. The staff is starting to know us by name…

Perkins has great breakfast and there typically isn’t a very long wait at their busiest, which would be Sunday mornings. I usually only eat here for breakfast so I can’t comment on lunch and dinner.

This 5 Star review assumes you have been to a Perkins before. I see no reason to take stars away from this one. It does not mean I consider the food on the same level as Rachel’s or the Iron Bridge (I don’t). I do think it is as good as any Perkins I have been to.
It is clean, well maintained, and well managed. I have seen a poor server a time or 2 over the years, but they either get up to speed quickly, or they are weeded out. I think the staff is friendly, and the cooks genuinely take pride in their work.
Compared to fast food, Perkins is an incredibly good value. The dishes are a level or 2 above a diner, similar to an Eat-​n-​Park?
If you like Perkins, This one will not disappoint. If you have never had Perkins this is a great one to start out with.
