Save your money and go somewhere else. Super gross. Very salty and not fresh tasting. Too bad…

The food did not taste«really bad» but it was by no means good. For $ 10 I got a bowl of rice, some chicken and a few bean sprouts. This was a very disappointing place. The ginger sauce was too strong and the yum yum was just watered down mayo. I won’t go back.

Good food — shockingly rude service. My husband and I were so uncomfortable with the bad mood the girl was in. Maybe she should’ve stayed home today.

All bad reviews for this business is well earned. The price was about all that u can give plus.for. Awful employees to just ok food.

I have to give this four stars because the concept is so freaking awesome. The food itself is close to what you’d get in a Japanese steakhouse, a little less crunchy and a little less variety. That yum yum sauce is awesome. Someone wrote the staff lacks personality. Yes, they do.

Pretty good value, it’s like a Japanese steakhouse to go. Staff lacks personality but short dealing so not a deal breaker.

First of all, I dislike giving bad reviews but I think this one is deserved. I’ve made one visit to Genji-Go. While I think I would try it again, here are the reasons I’d give 2 stars: 1) the food isn’t fresh. Everything I ordered was already prepared and served to me within probably seconds. For the price you pay(my meal was $ 15 with two veggies added), shouldn’t it be cooked to order? 2) they got my order wrong. I ordered a steak bowl and they added shrimp to it. rather than have them make the whole bowl again, I just agreed to pay for the shrimp. upon opening and eating when I got home, there were only like 3 shrimp in the whole thing. so I basically paid an extra $ 4 for three damn shrimp. 3) Since it wasn’t made fresh, the yum yum sauce is really what made it taste good. without that, pretty lackluster. 4) I didn’t really like the idea that you had to pay an extra $ 1 for each vegetable that you added to your bowl. Again, I think I’d try it again, but not before trying their competition down the road, hibachi fresh.
