Stopped in the shop after I saw an add the owner posted on Craigslist about her chair sale. I was in need of a rocker for my front porch in Victorian Village. I was very pleased to find out that I had several options at Country Hearth Primitives, and I got a great old solid oak rocker for $ 60, which I think was probably half the price of what I would have paid at one of the Short North shops. I also bought a small painted accent table with a label under the top that indicated it was Made in Japan. Vintage also, and worn but very funky. Most items are indeed on the«country» side, but not all. It was a good mix of items but the place is small and not really crammed with stuff like most shops, so it takes only about 20 minutes to go thru the place. Mostly furniture, less knick-nacks. Owner was very friendly and her husband carried my items out to my car for me. He had just pulled up in back with a pick-up full of interesting looking stuff that was destined for the shop.
