Body Wraps & More

I’ve never had a body wrap and was excited to try it — especially since this business was offering a Groupon and I felt good trying something new at the discounted price. Well, I never had the opportunity to have my body wrap because the «business» did not return my calls to schedule an appointment. I called more than 10 times over a 4 week period, left messages, and never received a response. Totally unprofesional.

This doesn’t even deserve one star. I wish I would’ve read these other reviews before making my amazon deals purchase. Got the bodies wraps just like probably 80% of their business.
Got there early in hopes to be on time with our appointment. They had ONE staff member working the place. After waiting around with no greeting for a good five minutes, she calls out «hi, be with you in a min!». We wait, we fill out papers, and they take me back into a curtained off section. She takes my measurements, and gets started. The wraps are those ace bandages, and they wrap you facing a mirror. PLEASE! I don’t need to see you wrapping my fat up. Ugh. They were barely warm wraps, so by the time she was half way done I was already cold. They stick you in those weird sweat suits you get at the gym, and they even had gold’s gym logos on them.
Next, she took me to a room where there was already someone else and sat me in a gravity patio chair with blankets thrown over them. They put more blankets on top and then you sit. Now, she said you sit for 40 minutes. I sat for OVER an hour. So frustrating. I eventually wiggled myself up and out of the chair to poke my head out. She said she had to wrap another poor soul and then she could unwrap me. Maybe if you’re going to schedule so many people you should hire someone else too. I «lost» 10 inches, even though it was pretty obvious that she was holding the tape tighter. Gave us the no sugar or salt speech and we were finally on our way.
What a mess. I will NEVER go to another one of these Allvera spas again.

I was a bit nervous about visiting because I had never before had a body wrap. Once I got there I was very relaxed. The atmosphere is very soothing and calming and very comfortable. The staff were very attentive and kind.
I was measured before and after. While I was wrapped I spent a good 45 minutes in the dark room with some soft soothing music. I swear I fell asleep.
After being measured again and I dressed, I went into the office to talk about the inches lost. Now when they say a total of such and such inches, they are adding it all up. So you can’t really look at that number. You have to look at the amount in each area. In some area’s I lost a good inch and a half! pretty amazing results.
I’ll definitely be back once I start shedding pounds! They say its great to help tighten up the skin.
It was a great experience and I recommend it to everyone!

Raise your hand if you’ve had a body wrap!
It was my first time getting a wrap (and foot detox) and I had high expectations. Not only from the results of thinner thighs (yes, «lose up to 20 inches» was what I believe the poster read) but also for the relaxing experience. Surprisingly, I was more pleased with the results — and I only lost a total of 8 inches.
First of all, the foot detox is a joke.
Second of all, the attentiveness of the staff (of currently only one) is great.
Third of all, I wasn’t relaxed. And I was cold.
I think each salon does it differently (I heard a rumor about a heating lamp or something,) but wrapping my naked body (I had under garments on) in luke-​warm ace bandages after taking my measurements and putting me in a spaceman suit for 45min wasn’t exactly what I expected. No warm. No relax. Now lay down. No thanks.
