Blue Ribbon Tavern

Well, what are you going to say about this place? Grove City only has one liquor license and here it is. If you don’t like, you really don’t have any options! The place is ok. It’s just a bar, nothing special. However, I did dig the indoor Cornhole set.
The only problem I had was the people that were actually there. What a bunch of crabbing losers??? I heard so many arguments over absolute stupid stuff, people arguing on cell phones, jealousy games, people wanting to start fights and just overall ignorance. Am I the only one that still goes to a bar to have a good time? To the dipshit that came in what jeans tore up to the pockets… grow up. Seriously, every annoyance in a bar you could imagine happened here. This is one of the first times I’ve low rated a place based on the people that go there, not the actual place itself.

The only bar in downtown Grove City. Depending on the night it can be crawling with townies or college students, it’s your pick as to which crowd’s worse. It’s really a gamble if you’re going to get good service or not. Some bartenders are incredibly attentive and work hard to have a drink in everyone’s hand and the surfaces clean. Others seem to enjoy seeing angry customers sitting around the bar and at sticky tables. Most of the bartenders don’t know their drinks apart from knowing how to pop a bottle of beer open.
I would give this place 2 stars for a valiant attempt at night life in Grove City except for the fact that I’ve seen the owner of this place happily serve minors. 0 stars, please.
