Gus’s Pizza Restaurant

We stopped by this place while visiting for a wedding nearby and thought the place was
great.
The sandwiches, pizzas were absolutely delicious and the server Ginger was very prompt and nice, and the service was superb. The place has a great selection of food on the menu and was crowded.
Gus’s is fair priced and we would definetly go back here the next time in the area.
Definetely reccommend to all.

Seldom would I ever rate an establishment so poorly, but unfortunately my experience with Gus’s warrants such a rating.
Delivery:
We ordered two pizzas for delivery at about 5:09. approximately an hour later we called in to ask about our order in which we were assured the delivery guy had just left and he would be here very soon. At 6:30 we got a call from Gus’s saying there was an error and they are just preparing our order now, asking if we still want them to make it. We said yes of course, and he said it would be delivered as soon as possible. 1 hour later at roughly 7:30 the pizza came.
Food Quality:
Despite the anticipation of waiting nearly two and a half hours for our food, the pizza was some of the worst I’ve ever had. The crust was spongy and dry, the sauce tasted stale and the cheese was like plastic. The toppings were also pitiful. I had hoped to have some leftovers but it was so disgusting we threw what was left away. The whole experience was pretty depressing.

I really don’t like to give a bad review unless it is absolutely warranted, and in this case, I must say that it is absolutely warranted. I eat out almost everyday, and I can honestly say that this was one of the worst meals I have ever had…
So, I decided that I wanted to order food from a place that I have not been to before. After some deliberation I decided to order from Gus’s Pizza. They had a nice menu, the prices were reasonable, and they delivered. I ordered a large garlic bread, a ten piece order of mozzarella sticks, and scallops. I asked if I could get just the scallops, and not the dinner, which they agreed and modified the price. My total came to $ 26. Approximately 45 minutes later, my food arrives… I’m starving so with great anticipation, I rip open the bag and start munching on my mozzarella sticks and I’m totally disappointed. The marinara sauce is watery and bitter and not edible. The mozzarella sticks tasted bland and soggy and inedible. At this point I am still hoping for the best, so I move on to my fried scallops. Wow! Horrible. First of all, they had a very strong fishy odor. They were covered in a thick crust similar to McDonald’s chicken nuggets. They did not even look like scallops. Disgusting is the only word that comes to mind to describe my scallops. Inside the crust, the actual scallops were brown in color and squishy. Again, not edible. Finally I open the garlic bread and… Yuck! It was just awful. Garlic bread is usually a safe choice because it is relatively easy to make. Anyway, what I got was a slightly toasted grinder roll saturated with oil, and covered with HUGE chunks of RAW GARLIC. Again, NOT EDIBLE. It really bothers me that someone had the nerve to serve that to someone. As punishment, I would like to see the person who made it, eat it. It is obvious to me that the people making the food there, don’t care about their product. They put ZERO care or concern into making the food they serve. I ended up throwing away $ 26 worth of food, and wasting $ 32.00 cash ($ 26 food + $ 6 tip). I then hopped in my car and ordered from the restaurant I should have ordered from to begin with, but they don’t deliver and I was being lazy and didn’t want to take the 5 minute drive downtown. Yes, I paid the price for my laziness. Again, I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but I do reserve the right for the very few that are truly deserving of a bad review… If I could leave negative starts, I would. Shame on you Gus’s Pizza for treating your customers with such low regard. You lost my business forever.

I’m glad I found this place. They even have a bar! Pizza is really good. Tex mex and Italian delite are awesome. Great place to grab lunch if your around.

Food is pretty mediocre. Don’t use a credit or debit vard thought because they will initially over charge you until you bring it up to them.

I had the Gourmet Vegetarian pizza and it was delicious! The eggplant was breaded and they don’t skimp on the garlic. My husband had the Meat Delight and he was equally delighted. The dough is wonderful and perfectly cooked. I will definitely return.

Gus’s specialty pizzas are a must try… ordered a large Pompe pizza and a large Italian Delite pizza and a medium cheese with a coupon… everything was amazing, delivery was prompt (the 35 minutes they told me). 5 very satisfied customers here. will absolutely order again.

Ordered food at 6 was told that it would take 30 minutes food didn’t arrive until 730 and didn’t get the salad I ordered with my meal

I got a coupon in the mail for two large pizzas and a bottle of wine for $ 24.99 — great deal if I say so myself. The pizza itself was very good — nothing overly special about it though. The service was fast and friendly. We will definitely return!

Ordered peperoni and mushroom calzone and a 2 liter diet coke for delivery. Person on the phone was rude. When my order arrived the driver didn’t have a pen to sign receipt and forgot the soda. When I mentioned the soda they said they left it in the car and would be tight back. 15 minutes later they finally returned. The calzone itself was good and the only thing that saved this place from only getting 1 star.
