Things change, and I now count Pointe Alarm as something that has changed for the better. I got a new laptop a few months ago and tried to access our security cameras from it with no luck. So, in my wisdom I decided to get in to the DVR settings and mess around with those. Oops. After I was done nothing worked and all of my attempts to fix it only made things worse. Even though I knew this situation was now beyond me I was reluctant to call because of the above review. I am probably not Pointe Alarms favorite customer. Although in the last few months I did give them some referral business that I could always bring up in case of emergency. I should mention that the person I referred is EXTREMELY happy with everything that Pointe Alarm has done for them. Anyway, I called for help. All of my calls and messages were given the full attention of the person taken them and I didn’t wait more than an hour for an e-mail or call to be returned. Today Warren came out to fix my system. After a few tries he got hings working to where they were before I started messing with them and then he attempted to tackle my laptop situation. He was here for a good amount of time but it turned out that the problem couldn’t have been easier. It turns out that the system doesn’t work with the internet browser I was using. Who knew? I want to thank Tim and Warren for taking the time to help me out. I try to be fair with my reviews and although my description of my first and second experiences with Pointe Alarm are accurate I think they have made some positive changes and I would not hesitate to use them again or refer them to friends or family.

Have used Pointe Alarm for 2 different residences in area and have had a great experience both times. Professional and friendly and know what they are doing. Also they always have the latest as far as what’s new in the tech world of alarms. Have used the big companies in the past and am way happier with a local company with a real person to speak with!
