I always try to support small local businesses. When I want to get specialty wine or craft beer I usually choose Park Place Liquor, Woods Wholesale Wine, or Oxford Beverage & Deli. After my recent experience, I will no longer patron Oxford Beverage & Deli based on their rude service. My girlfriend and I were interested in the limited release Founder’s KBS(Kentucky Breakfast Stout). Upon inquiring with the wife of the owner about if they still had it, she told me they did and could sell me one bottle. I told her how I was so happy about it because I was looking around the local area to find it. She replied by saying«you know if I told my husband that you were TROLLING the neighborhood for the KBS, then he would refuse to sell it to you». I was taken aback by her accusatory tone that bordered on psychotic; it was incredibly uncalled for and came out of left field. Suffice to say, I will take my money elsewhere because I refuse to support a business that lacks common decency and does not understand true service. Park Place Liquor and Woods Wholesale Wine will be my only local beverage shops of choice from now on. They have a great selection and prices. Most importantly, I am always treated with respect and helped out.

Great, convenient location. Helpful customer service rep(maybe the owner as I see him there often) as they didn’t have what I was looking for but did offer a more expensive alternative at the same price. Only downfall for me is they arent open very late. Overall, happy to support this business.

Totally happy to support this local business! The beer options are super(especially the local stuff) and the staff make great recommendations. Excellent selection of hard ciders too, which is awesome since hubband and I can’t tolerate beer. Solid wines, good to grab in a pinch(some priced better than at Kroger) but for a real selection, there are better shops nearby. The dudes behind the liquor counter are very chill but always helpful. When I asked for two vodka recommendations to make infusions and pitcher drinks for a party, they suggested Mohawk and Svedka respectively — my guests and I were pleased on both counts. I appreciate that they aren’t out to needlessly sell me the most expensive thing or look down on me for ordering in milliliter quantities because my science-trained brain fails to understand what«a fifth» is.

Went in to find a bottle of wine the owner had never heard of it. When I asked for a recommendation she was not really all that interested in helping me. She told me I needed to know what I wanted for her to help me. I found that a little strange. I went else where !

This is a nice liquor store with a good wine selection(not that there is a shortage of those in the area). However, the people that work there are very helpful with their recommendations of affordable and delicious wine. Just recently tried(at their recommendation) Annabella Cab — very nice and smooth and only $ 13.
