I love Julia! She does a great job on my hair! She takes her time and makes sure it is perfect every time! She is such a sweetheart and I always have a great time when I go see her at the coloseum. Everyone there is so nice and welcoming!

Julia is awesome! I would never allow anyone else to do my color because she is absolutely amazing. OMG and when she washes my hair, it’s out of this world! I followed Julia from her last salon and I’m thrilled she’s at the Coloseum. It’s a beautiful atmosphere and I love that it’s on The Hill! The owner, Sal is super nice as well!
Although I don’t get my nails done, I have seen Julia’s work and it’s great. She obviously must be good considering the happy following of women she has coming and leaving when I’m there.
The saddest thing about the snob who wrote the previous comment … is the solid fact that Julia is super sweet and attentive to anyone she comes in contact with. Also … If someone is giving you a facial wouldn’t you rather them look away??? Better than someone massaging me and looking into my eyes …

Julia did my hands, feet and facial. I thought the facial was sub-​par, but the manicure and pedicure were terrible for both my mom and me. I had 5 coats of polish on my hands, including the bottom and top coat, it took so long to dry and one smudged and she tried to fix it but wasn’t keen on redoing it, thus didn’t and I left the salon with a smudged fingernail. Each of my fingernails had a 3^rd color coat that didn’t cover my entire nail and my polish on my feet and hands looked like my 6 year old nephew had done it. What’s worse is that my mother’s nails looked just as bad as mine. I could have gotten a 100% better polish job on my hands and feet at any Asian salon anywhere in the world. I was so bummed since this was for a Mother’s day spa day, what a waste of $ 150 for facial, manicure, pedicure and massage. Yvette did average job for my massage, but nothing special and I didn’t feel that relaxed afterwards. What’s funny is that Julia was trying to get me to come to have her cut my hair, as if I would let her come withing 10 feet of my hair with scissors, I think not! I will try a little harder to find a better spa for Mom and me next time. I think Mystique in Dearborn did 100% better job than Julia could ever do, even with 10K of hours of practice. I think Julia should find another vocation. She was dazed and staring out during the facial, mani and pedi, she doesn’t seem to enjoy doing what she does. Should have been a clue when even my mother was the youngest client in the entire salon all day.

Do not get a pedicure at the Coloseum! Worst pedicure I’ve ever had, especially given the cost ($ 50). I like to get one to two pedicures during the summer to clean up my calluses, cuticles, etc. The pedicure at coliseum barely even addressed these, and ended with a crappy polish job that actually looked like the polish was applied a week earlier and began chipping a few hours later. Also, the accommodations weren’t great; both pedicure chairs were broken (i.e., no massage) and uncomfortable. The young woman who conducted the pedicure was very nice, but revealed that she was a hair stylist that is a back up to the person who normally does them. Generally, I would be fine with this, but not at that price tag. If you are going there, make sure to find out who will be performing the pedicure.

I love this salon. It’s refreshing to go to a salon with a friendly staff and owner! John K is amazing! He always makes my hair look amazing. I’ve had a massage only once sadly but it was a fantastic massage.

I really enjoy this salon. I haven’t been there in awhile since I get my hair done by a relative. I used to get a really good cut and color there. I have also experienced their queen for a day treatment– facial, mani, pedi, massage, paraffin wax for hands, hair styling and lunch! It was fabulous. Their massage spa is very nice. The people there have all been really nice.

I have gone to this Salon for both nails and hair. They use cheap cvs products for nails. Does not do a good job. The hair stylists that I have seen are horrible. The owner highlighted my hair and turned my naturallyblonde hair pink (highlights). He tried to fix it and turned it brassy. My husband went to see another stylist named Kelly L. she was not good. The salon is very expensive
I paid more for this salon then I did going to Birmingham.
