Went in for beignets. They were good. I really could not tell if Coffee & was open from the Expressway until I pulled up. The staff was nice. I found the establishment on the dirty-dingy side.

Super nice ladies, ordered some beignets and they were freshly fried up and covered in powder sugar :)

In addition to offering delicious bakery items, the breakfast menu is very tasty as well. A bit high priced, but other than that, no complaints. The potato medley is superb. Mixture of eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, cheese, and sausage… outstanding! The staff is friendly and courteous. All in all, a good spot for an early breakfast.

The beignets were amazing, even comparable to the infamous Café du Monde. The coffee, on the other hand, was pretty flavorless and watered-down tasting. This place is a bit worn and not very clean. The staff were very friendly. I got called baby and sweetheart, which I thought was endearing. It’s a local hangout from the looks of the crowd. Worth it for the cheap beignets, and the apple fritter was to die for. But if you want a «cool» coffee shop-like atmosphere where you can hang out for a while, you should look elsewhere.

I reeeeeally love donuts. They have lots of baked goods and coffee, but the real reason I go here is for them donuts. They have such light and fluffy glazed donuts, they disappear from my hand pretty quickly. They also have a glazed chocolate donut that is not like any other I have had — it isn’t heavy or cakey, but rather is just as light and fluffy as the regular glazed. Getting a half dozen of each would be dangerous since I could probably polish off the entire box!
