Hi I’ve eaten there on more than a few occasions. I have been usually with several people. Everyone has always liked what they ordered. Here’s a surprise though, more than a few of us thought that their regular fries are actually better than their garlic parmesan fries. Give the regular ones a try sometime and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Excellent burgers, good selection of beverages and excellent service. Been here at least 7 or so times already on different hours, days of the week and had zero problems. Then again, I’ve worked in customer service before and give people slack. Some still complain, apparently… I am definitely going here again! A little loud because the kitchen is open, the kids having fun but who cares, its a family-oriented establishment. Whenever I ask for more spicy ingredients, they deliver. When I want more fries or something else, they’re prompt with their service. When I want another beverage, etc etc Also…their fries are amazing!

Kitchen staff works hard to make orders come out fast & right. I should have paid attention to gluten fee option, I just assumed there wasn’t one. Not a comfortable seat in the house, we sat at the bar. Hostess sat a table for 6 w/2 people we ate, paid & left before all 6 showed up. There is always a long line here, it’s not worth the wait. Looks to me like wasted space & inexperienced hostesses don’t turn the tables efficiently. Lots of options for burgers with a padded chair & no lines in Gresham.

How this is not rated 5 star leaves to wonder who rates these places. This is not only the best burger place in Gresham it might be the best burger place in Oregon. Fast service friendly staff. Good beers. They use lots of truffle oil for there fries. They have special burgers about every week. The meat is quality meat like it’s fresh off the grill. The amount of frys they give in there large is enough for 2 maybe 3 people. The only downside is the size of location can be small during busy times. That’s about the only negative I can say about this place everything else is easily the best in Gresham if not Oregon.

The fries were delicious! This place was great for my first. I like the burgers. It filled me up. However, I wasn’t too fond of the chips. I should’ve asked the waitress if I could substitute them for fries or a salad. Oh well. Overall, my first time experience went great. Looking forward to go back.

The best!- burgers, salads, sandwiches — don’t miss Taco Tuesdays! And when they say local, they mean it! Their meats, breads, greens and beers are all from our area. They have a laid-back vibe in a casual setting with lots of appeal to a diverse clientele. I see lot’s of couples and families there of all ages having a great time. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how great the Local Cow staff is — so friendly and nice!

my husband and I were both feeling lazy and didn’t want to cook or head Back into Portland for dinner. I tried this place again for the first time in two years. I ordered my burger without onions. I am one of those folks who has a serious sensitivity to them. my burger came, I took literally one bite and it was covered in small diced up pieces of white onions(if it was a few large pieces I would have pulled them off). the waitress took so long to come back to our table that my husband had already finished his food. I explained what happened and that I just can’t eat onions and how they were mixed into all the sauce(and cheese). when she brought our check I was told she could only take off half my burger price because I had eatin half of it! one bite(literally) is not half a burger. she continued to argue saying that she needed a managers approval to remove the entire burger from our bill, but that there was no manager in the building. after a longer conversation she removed my burger but not my fries(I didn’t eat those either as I thought the fries we’re included in the price). I wasn’t asking for our entire bill to be comped! Just my food that they had messed up. I have tried 3 times to like this place and I just cannot support them. there are so many great burger places in Portland that serve local meat. I’ve learned my lesson about being lazy. terrible service and still mediocre burgers. drive into Portland folks!

What a gem in Gresham Oregon! If you’re looking for a burger with terrific flavor, look no further. Wonderfully seasoned burgers and amazing fries. For just a buck or two more than a drive thru joint, get yourself to the Local Cow.

I love that The Local Cow buys locally pasture-raised beef, they get an extra star for that. That being said, the burgers and rosemary-truffle-parmesean Cow Fries were less than sensational. The buns were hearty and held up nicely and they looked like they were either baked on site or also not made at a major bakery plant-kudos there! I had the Pendelton and my dining companion had the Rockwood, Maybe they left the baskets on the shelf too long before delivering them, they were okay I mean nothing piping hot, not enough to temp me back. That being said, the strawberry-lemonade(five bucks, one refill) was perfect-it was on the tart side, which is exactly how like I like my lemonade, I don’t find sweet drinks terribly refreshing. My feeling is that if I’m paying eleven bucks for a burger and fries, it should be top-notch.

Great burgers! Service is great also. I wish the place were a bit larger or they added more tables because there is usually a wait(although not long). One thing I’m not too fond of is that the burgers come with chips instead of fries. I believe it’s $ 1 more to do fries instead.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Gresham, heck we moved to Beaverton for a year, I even told my wife I couldn’t wait to move to Troutdale so I’d be closer to the Local Cow. If you like a black and bleu burger(bleu cheese for those of you who aren’t addicts YET), they have the BEST bleu cheese burger called the Fort Stevens. You need to get«Local Cow Fries» — don’t play around with the regular ones, they’re no where close to the Local Cow Fries, which is basically like going animal style at In-&-Out. They have an awesome outdoor seating area and access to adult beverages from the bar next door, so take a date or your buddies and enjoy! Just make sure you plan some gym time afterwards because you’re going to leave fat and happy! PS. There’s a huge parking lot just west of main street off 5th. The walk is about 2 mins.

Good burgers and fries, nice staff and casual setting. Recommend sliders over burgers and the garlic Rosemary firs need a bit more rosemary and salt. Set in a nice area too.

–Nice location in downtown Gresham. –Any place that puts crispy onions, bacon, and BBQ sauce on a burger and uses a bun of good quality pretty much has all that you need. –The fries are good, especially with cajun seasoning. There are also quite a few different potato based appetizer options. –Casual atmosphere, and moderate prices. –They put pictures of cows on the wall, but the food is good enough that you won’t even have the opportunity to feel bad about it.

SOOOGOOD!!! Seriously, you NEED to try the rosemary truffle oil fries! I believe they are called«Local Cow» fries. My burger was delicious, I forget what it was called. But it had truffle mayo, sauteed mushrooms, bleu cheese, & bacon on it. It sat very heavily in my stomach, however, so I couldnt finish all of it. The truffle mayo is a very strong flavor though, so I would ask for lite/easy on the mayo! My only wish is that the waitress wouldve asked me what temp I wanted my burger, for the record, it was medium well… :P The pineapple IPA is SOOOGOOD. You seriously can ONLY taste the pineapple, so if you dont like the beer-y/alcohol taste, this is a good one for you! Indoor atmosphere is a little bare, we opted to sit outside, it was beautiful out. Other than that out waitress was timely and super sweet! I wish I caught her name, but she has short, reddish copper colored hair and tattoos!

I was running errands around the Gresham area with my siblings and we were on our way to Nicholas for a healthier lunch. As we were walking, I noticed the Local Cow and the smell of grilled meat caught my attention. My siblings said they had tried a week or two ago, that the burgers were good and they really liked it. I had a little bit of an internal conflict, a lighter fare of Falafels or satisfying meat?! I headed toward Nicholas then did a U-turn, Local Cow it is! We came in a little after noon and hit the lunch rush, every bar seating and tables were full. The wait was about 10 minutes, pretty quick, before a table became available. I was craving a western-style burger, ended up ordering the Pendleton which had cheddar, bacon, crispy onion, and barbecue sauce. If you check into Unilocal, you get a free order of regular fries but could upgrade it to Cajun seasoning or local cow fries(truffle oil, rosemary, garlic) for $ 1. I upgraded to the local cow fries. Food came out quick after putting the order in. I am very picky about bread and hamburger buns in general, theirs was soft and had good texture which didn’t fall apart with all the ingredients. I love the combination of the sharp cheese with the savory bacon and tanginess of the barbecue sauce. It was greasy and juicy yet incredibly satisfying! The truffle oil fries aren’t the best I’ve had but it’s pretty good, I just love garlic on my fries though. Kind of wished I ordered a beer or soda to wash down my food but I was trying not to be gluttonous. Felt that the service was quick and friendly, water was always being refilled when empty and wasn’t difficult to flag down a server. I would come back to grab a burger here again when I having a craving.

My cousin took us here when we were in town because my girlfriend is a big fan of burgers. This place is fairly small and the atmosphere is pretty chill. We got seated right away. We ordered burgers and fries. But you also have the option to choose chips instead of fries if you want. We ordered the fries that comes with sausage and a delicious sauce on top. It was amazing. We would definitely recommend this place if you are a burger lover. Oh and again, they have my favorite beer. Hef!!!

Yummy fries lived up to their billing. The server indicated the meat portion in three sliders is the same as in one regular sized burger. I’m glad I opted for the three minis, there’s something fun about them. They did serve the grilled onions on the side which I found a bit odd. The bottles of «fry sauce» next to the ketchup and mustard offers a nice variety. Their pineapple cider was very refreshing, yum. The owner stopped by our table which is always a nice touch. The server was very sweet. Food arrived somewhat quickly and parking isn’t too bad. And photos of customer’s pets that adorn the wall earns major kudos.

Definitely a wait for a table, so room opened up at the bar. The beers are reasonably priced. I ordered a budweiser and the burger with the bacon and bbq sauce and fries. For Good food, you cant rush it. When my Burger came out it was flavorful and grilled to medium well just the way I like it. And the fries were piping hot and delicious. And my Budweiser was cold. Great Customer Service as well.

My favorite things about the Local Cow: 1 — Taco Tuesdays(the only day they serve tacos; worth going) 2 — Fun bottles of craft beer. 3 — Garlic fries(don’t bother with regular fries, they just don’t even compare) 4 — The wedge salad. Really really good, with great quality blue cheese and high quality tomatos, and with a great presentation. I recommend ordering one of these and splitting it, and then ordering 1 burger + garlic fries, and splitting that. It is plenty of food for 2, and you get a bit of variety.
