Red Square

Hmm. Not sure what happened here, but it has taken a turn for the worse. Menu has been significantly scaled back, so it’s even more unforgiveable when they run out of things. No more happy hour menu.
The chicken sandwich I had was still delicious, but the menu is standard pub fare now. Maybe things weren’t going well, so they tried some changes? At any rate, we’ve left the Gresham area and I wouldn’t make a special trip for the current menu or dark sports bar/​gambling vibe. Really too bad.

We went for dinner and found out quickly that they don’t have «dinners» just burgers and appetizers. just a bar. We will not go back.

Don’t let the décor fool you. This place has authentic Russian food for a great price! Got the Fox 12 daily deal because they said Russian food. Then I read the reviews and was heart broken. Almost didn’t try it. SO GLAD I DID! As good as my mother in laws food. Hope they expand and maybe even open another place closer to me in Clackamas. That won’t stop me though, it’s my new favorite place to eat!

Decided to have a family night out with about 8 of us. A Saturday evening at about 7pm this place was dead, perfect right? The bartender had to be asked to come to our tables and act like a server, he stayed behind the bar biting his nails and texting for the first 2 hours.

We Came in here because we had a coupon but we liked it enough to go back two more times. It’s fairly new. The people are very nice and the food and prices on the bar menu were typical or better than those found at similar places (hamburgers, sandwiches, etc). The Russian menu was very good. The cabbage rolls were delish! They have a pool table and poker/​keno and a regular live blues show and comedy show (every two weeks think). The bartender makes some mean drinks. Worried they wont survive tho, so many restaurants in Gresham don’t and they didn’t have a ton of business each time we went. Stop in and support them if you are in the area.

Went into Red Square to try them out on a Friday night. The experience was awful. Loud Mexican music playing so loudly you had to scream at your date. This wouldn’t have been bad if people were having fun and participating on the «dance floor» though. Instead, there were 3 drunk upper middle aged people falling over each other dancing together with a total of about 10 people in the entire bar at 11pm on a Friday night.
While the atmosphere was laughably bad the drinks were worse. Ordered a mixed drink and rather than it being made we watched as the glasses were filled with a pre-​mixed bottle. The drink tasted like pure gasoline and cost about 7 bucks a piece.
We laughed, finished punishing our stomachs with the drinks and left never to return. Very weird, unpleasent experience.
