Pub 181

Big beers, big portions of well prepared good tasting food keeps us coming back. Breakfasts are great. We like the chicken fried steak and egg dishes. They have a specials board that is worth checking out. Lunches and dinners vary from salads to deep fried frenzy. Always pool tournaments going on. Plenty of tv’s to choose from. We’re lucky this is our neighborhood bar. No need to go anywhere else. We miss Kelly though.

The Bartenders Rob and Dan are awesome! My family and I have been coming in to this bar for the last ten years and are always very happy with our food and our experience. The beer is cold, their steak and shrimp combo is a fair price and delicious, and they have four nice pool tables! The menu also has a really good Teriyaki Chicken and we also love their fish and chips! Thanks Rob and Dan and everybody else that works at Pub 181!

The WORST service i have ever experienced! The Waitress was very rude, the place is dirty and the bathroom is disgusting!!! people around us were leaving also because the waitress was SO RUDE! Dont waste your time going there. Zero rating.

My wife and I have gone here from time to time. We went one day for lunch and drinks and were totally ignored. The waitresses even looked at us. Really weird, don’t think I’ll be stopping in any time soon. Biz must be good!

What an terrible experience! Actually, the experience only lasted 20 minutes, that was enough time to form an opinion! Walked in there tonight to a bar that was maybe ¹⁄₃ full. We sat there for 20 solid minutes in the middle of the seating area, without as much as a hello from anyone! «Waitress» walking by, bar tender walked by… nothing! The three guys next to us found a single menu from somewhere, and were huddled around it like a bunch of school boys ogling over a dirty book. they never got swerved either. Good luck to this business, there service us shit!

I have been going to pub 181 for years. Really good food and really good beer prices. But because of the service it’s getting more difficult to keep going back. Tonight was the perfect example. I warned my server my girlfriend would be showing up and 10 minutes before she did I ordered a beer. Girlfriend gets there and no beer. It hadn’t been ordered. After 10 more minutes we gave up because my girlfriends presence hadn’t even been acknowledged. Then the server didn’t cash us out because she was «too busy» I guess. I will go back when Crystal and Rob and Dan are working because they can handle a room. The rest of the crew can’t handle a crowd. It’s too bad. I have other options closer to home and will start utilizing them more often. This was on 8−13−15 at 6 pm

Extremely bad service! The waitress let me sit for 22 minutes before taking my drink order. She than let me sit for another 20 minutes with an empty glass. She never returned to the table, and I finally just put some money the table and left. I feel sorry for the owners. They need to find more competent help. Two waitresses who can’t service 8 people between the two of them is pathetic!

Really a good bar for hang out every weekend to me. Good people, good service, good drink, good price. Awesome bar!

Amazing food! Great laid back atmosphere. Pool, Touch Tunes juke box, live music (the typical fare), affordable.

Food may be good, if they could keep their menu straight. I don’t mind paying for a good bar burger, and you do pay alot, but not when they can’t give you a simple burger you ordered in under over 30 minutes. I found out I didn’t get what I wanted and all the guy said was «yeah, and». What kind of service is thatm? They suck either way 9 dollars for a burger and the can’t are anything on the stage

Good food, just started a new menu there and finally they are not all beaten up.
A decent amount of pool tables, if that is your thing. I am not into it anymore but it seems a popular place for it.
They have a good selection of food and it is good. Beer selection of be a bit large but OK.
A decent sports bar but my one big complaint is that they do not have the MLB package so have to settle for what is on at the time.
One of the guys that works there is always stoned when there, smelled of pot but still did the job.
The girls that were there are better wait staff than the guys.
We will go back, more for football season though.

I have breakfadt here alot … clean inside and out … good service coffee cup never goes empty 2×2×2 is very good and reasonably priced

They’ll nickel and dime you! Great food, Great sports bar. Has over 20 big screens. UNFORTUNATELY, they charge extras for EVERYTHING. Ask for a tiny side of BBQ sauce, and they charge extra (without telling you).
Also, my boyfriend ordered a burger (comes with fries). Our server asked if he wanted fries or jojos, so he said jojos. She proceeded to charge $ 1.50 extra! Absolutely ridiculous. Extremely cheap way of doing business and losing return customers.
Overall, they have good food. But they are sure to nickel and dime you anyway they can.

This place has great cheap bar food witch is good but the music is so loud it’s hard to talk to the people around you and the chances of you being able to play pool are zero the table are always taken but over all not a bad dive bar

Good, comfortable bar with a few pool tables and a mediocre beer selection. Food is pretty good, had a burger… would come here again.

Great bartenders, had a lot of fun shooting the shit with them. They also make a mean pink «girly» drink! Great place to hang out and shoot some pool as well.

I met up with some friends here to recover from a horrible day at the office. As far as dive bars go, it was a comfortable space. I’m always nervous entering a dive bar for the first time. I picture a Wild West-​type scene where everyone turns to stare, and the old man in the corner says they don’t take kindly to strangers.
But there was none of that, thankfully.
I’m so glad that smoking is no longer allowed in bars because I imagine that, at one time, the space must have been completely hazy.
There is a lot of seating so it’s a great place to meet with friends. The drinks are inexpensive. I was disappointed there wasn’t a single vegetarian entrée on the menu, but the jalapeño poppers were very good and served hot. I got a Mike’s Hard Lemonade + poppers + tip for $ 10. Not bad!
There are several slot machines if you’re into that sort of thing. Lots of large TV’s so a great place to watch sports — especially if you’re a Trailblazer fan with DirecTV like me.
The waitress was very friendly.
In summary, check your expectations at the door and enjoy this laid-​back bar.

My wife and I love this place. Game days are tough because it’s crowded and the owner gets a little difficult about seating and such.
The people are nice, the food is very good and the drinks are affordable, All in all it’s my kind of place.
Has pool tables, lottery games and a load of giveaways during games. If it was a little less loud it would be a perfect place.

OK, look let’s get a few things out of the way here…
1. Pub 181’s in Gresham
2. It totally kicked ass when you could still smoke inside and sadly is one of those bars that’s still cool… but isn’t quite the same since the ban.
3. None of my Gresham friends will voluntarily go with me this bar
4. It still totally, totally, totally kicks ass!
If you’re looking for refined conversation, elegantly prepared organic cuisine & the most stunning view of the river that Portland has to offer I have a question for you…
What are you doing over in Gresham?!?
I’ll tell you exactly why you’re here, because you got tired of looking for all that other stuff & realized you wanted a beer, a game of pool, and some greasy food in a well lit bar where the crowd’s always super friendly. I get a LOT of grief for loving this place, but you know what? I don’t care! Pub 181 pours a good mug of the suds (& a very healthily sized mug at that), the food’s pretty good, & the people are always super super nice. I’m not saying that I’d drive there as a specific destination, but when you find yourself in Gresham (& you will) GO HERE. It kicks ass!
