Grand Palace Chinese Restaurant

Have been eating there for years. Awesome egg rolls and great for a medium size buffet. Staff is always nice and price is great.

I usually get take out from The Grand Palace. My boys and I LOVE their teriyaki chicken and their chicken fried rice. The staff had always been very kind and helpful. For a small town such as Grenada, I think this is a good restaurant Chinese restaurant.

PROs
–Chicken and Broccoli (off menu) was pretty good. I could tell that a real, good, Chinese cook had prepared it.
–Served Tsing Tao beer
–Pleasant waitress who seemed interested in doing a good job
CONs
–Two girls whose mothers probably worked there. They were obnoxious and loud sometimes, hanging out at the front door pestering customers walking in and later, playing in the dining areas. At other times, the older one (maybe age 10) was bussing tables, carrying around high chairs, etc. I’m sure she wasn’t old enough to be doing that.
–DIning area was trashy. Used napkins, fortune cookie wrappers, etc under and around tables. My dad used the restroom and said it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a week… and he’s not a picky person.
–Beef was rubbery.
–Waitress had long painted fingernails that pressed into the rice as it was served.
If I had closed my eyes and ears and only tasted the food, I’d give this place a 3-​star rating (4 if they’d upgrade to a better grade of beef). But with the overall lack of cleanliness (Health Grade is a «B») and chaos caused by the unsupervised girls, it’s a 1.
P. S. Customers are routed past the buffet on their way in. If you like a whole lot of cheap fried stuff, then I recommend it. ‘Cause there’s a whole lot of cheap fried stuff that’s just waiting to clog those arteries. Nothing healthy in sight other than one pan of chicken and broccoli. Mosey on up to the trough, y’all! :-(

Not very impressed with the variety in the buffet, the seafood was lacking a little. Service was very good and fast. If only they added better items and more seafood. Price was fair.

I’ve eaten here twice and I don’t like just any Chinese food. I’ve had the Shrimp with Hot Garlic Sauce and my sweetie had the General Tso’s Chicken and Chicken with Black Bean Sauce. The owners were very nice and made our meal to order. We added good veggies and steamed rice. Very good food overall.
