Unfortunately, Lichtenfelt does not stand behind their product. We purchased a tree and a small bush from them in March of 2014. The small bush was significantly more expensive(more than $ 60) than the same bush at Lowes or Home Depot, but we thought the bush at Lichtenfelt would be a better quality bush, and that, if anything happened to it within a reasonable time, they would replace it. By November, the bush began showing signs that it was dying, but we thought it was temporary. By January the bush was complete dead. Today my husband took the bush to Lichtenfelt and showed them a photo of this bush and other bushes(we had another one of the same) in our landscape that were thriving. He found the credit card statement where we had spent $ 222.00 at Lichtenfelt on March 22, 2014. He left the house quite positive, and said, «I’m sure there won’t be a problem with them replacing the bush. They’re good people.» Wow, was he wrong! When he arrived at the nursery and explained the situation, they pulled out a bunch of paperwork and told him that their 30-day warranty is clearly stated. What? Thirty days?! Lowes and Home Depot both have one-year warranties! And the trees and bushes we have purchased from them have never had a problem. The lesson? We will NEVER buy from Lichtenfelt again, and we suggest that you buy yours from someone who offers a longer warranty. Our Lowes trees that we bought last year are thriving. Live and learn. :(
