This place is one of the best Mexican joints around. Staff is super friendly and prices are very reasonable. To be fair, we drive by three similar restaurants to get to Guacamole Grill. My wife and I enjoy their live guacamole where they cut/carve the avocados at your table. We also like their Sizzling Salad a lot. It’s only $ 12 and it’s so much food that we split it. It’s also super healthy, which I can’t say about the majority of their menu items. Their salsa bar is well-stocked with a variety of heat and styles. Chips are thick and crunchy, too. The other cool thing about the location — from a pure nostalgic standpoint — is that I grew up in the local neighborhood behind the restaurant. I used to visit here a lot as a kid when it was a convenience store. My mom would send me up here when I was a 12 year old so that I could buy her a fresh pack of cigs. Played my first game of pinball here and bought my first beer here.

I found my Mexican connection for Greer. I am so Bookmarking this restaurant as a favorite for the future. Expansive menu with more than enough to satisfy any one. This is my first time here and it will not be my last. The only limiting factor is that I live in Simpsonville, but any time I am craving Mexican and I am in the area… I will definitely remember this restaurant. Totally worthy of a Friends and Family recommendation. Do NOT let the exterior put you off, venture in and give it a try… you will be rewarded with a very good meal at reasonable prices with fast/friendly service. Give it a try…

Amazing guacamole, top notch service, large portions and reasonable prices… but the food«California Style» was a bit bland for me.

Best Mexican restaurant in Greer(not counting a couple really tasty taquerias). The salsas are fresh and full of flavor, and the entire menu consists of items that are fresher and more authentic than pretty much anywhere in the area. Service is very good overall. They do get pretty busy at peak hours.

Best mexican restaurant in the Upstate of SC. The fajitas are fantastic and the service is always top notch. Great atmosphere and always terrific margaritas

As a native New Mexican, my standards for Mexican food is high. Guacamole’s is tasty. Unfortunately, I didn’t see red chili on the menu. That said, the selection is great, the prices are extremely reasonable(their lunch menu is insanely cheap), and the staff is very friendly. We paid a little over twenty bucks for lunch for two people and ended up with leftovers. I’d say that’s value! If you end up visiting, don’t miss the salsa bar.

We ordered two different margaritas, both of which tasted more like carbonated fruit juice. The table side guacamole was okay, but the steak and chicken tacos were disappointing. The food was very bland, and is not like anything served in Texas, California, or even Chicago. We will never go back, and are giving up Mexican food in the upstate.

Normally an awesome place, but tonight my meal came with a carnitas taco that was nothing but blubbery fat. Gross!

Fantastic food and great service. I ate just half of my entrée and was full. Took the rest home for tomorrow. So much food, good food. I grew up in CA and this food matches that quality of excellence. Thanks for a good night.

It’s like they read my mind: we have a covered patio to enjoy at Guacamole’s now! Not exactly a popular place in February, but warm weather is coming, muchachos. The only unfortunate thing about it is its westerly position, which creates a bit of a sun glare issue at sunset, but I’m glad to avail myself of it whenever I have Mexican on my mind. Viva Guacamole’s!

The best in the Upstate, even though they don’t serve liquor or beer yet. Definitely our new go to Mexican restaurant. The food is superb, service excellent.

I love this place! The food is amazing. The steak is fresh and well seasoned. The staff is courteous and friendly. Great prices. Wonderful atmosphere. The hypnotic margarita is my favorite drink and the carne asada or burrito asada are my favorite dishes. We go at least once a week. Only negative is that on many occasions I have noticed some of the clients«forget» to tip their waiter/waitess. The staff is great.

I love guacamoles. Me and my family eat here once a week. The food is fresh and the wait is very friendly. I love getting the chori pollo and the tacos de alambre. I used to live in Atlanta and really missed the fresh authentic Mexican that Atlanta has to offer. Then guacamoles popped up in Greer and I have been so happy to have great, fresh Mexican food.

I think the fact that this was our second visit in a week, should indicate our satisfaction. I’ve seen people compare this to Papas & Beer, but I think it’s actually better! They are NOT stingy with the bean dip firstly! The food is always fresh and the portions are more than generous! I challenge the average person to clean their plate! We tried several different menu items and everything is usually yummy! (I only say usually, because… I once ordered the chicken flautas & the meat had been cooked in a chipotle sauce that I didn’t care for. My husband loves the taste of it. Sooo to each his own.) Last night I had the steak(street style) tacos, and they were yummy! We were with my parents and my moms taco salad was huge & I think that will be the next thing I try. Be warned, the taco salad includes Caesar dressing???, which my mom omitted. You gotta read the fine print– rules for life! We will be back! Can’t wait to dine on the newly built outdoor dining area!

I would give 5 stars, but sometimes the service is just ok. The food is always amazing. I love the fajitas and the fresh salsa bar. Best tasting chori pollo I have ever eaten.

The best fajitas I have ever had in my life! Good service and word will get out about this place and it’s amazing food. I don’t know why I never thought of adding my favorite meat, chorizo… to steak, chicken, shrimp fajitas. Oh yes, they did! I will never be the same.

Great service! Nice patio on the side. Our meal came out pretty darn quick, seems like it only took 5 minutes. Good prices. Food tasted great. We will definitely go back.

First of all, don’t let the outside appearance deter you from eating here. It just looks dated. Once inside, the décor doesn’t improve your impression of the place; don’t let that stop you either. The food is quiet amazing. Starting with the tasty chips with bean and cheese dip, then complemented with salsa from the small, but fresh salsa bar. There are plenty of choices on the menu, but my go to favorite is the chimichanga with carnitas, which is simple in appearance but loaded in flavor. Instead of smothering it with lettuce, tomato, and more, it’s left uncovered and served with a side of white cheese to pour on top.
