I love this place! Meatloaf, fried chicken, fried pork chops and the beef stew are excellent. Always have the fried chicken available and usually two or three additional meat choices. The best cobbler!

The favorite place to eat for my whole family. The chicken can’t be beat in this town, and the pork chops are as close to perfect as you can find. More than generous portions and super friendly staff. Definitely my go to place for lunch!

This is a very good place for meat &3. It is becoming a favorite among locals even though it hasn’t been around a long time. Very reasonable price for amount of food served. Friendly staff.

I’ve been here a number of times, and they really do a fine job of presenting a homey meal. The service is friendly, and the food is pretty first rate, and includes dessert. I always leave satisfied.

We stopped in to try the food while on the way to Hickory Knob State Park. The Amish Oven is not your typical meat and three restaurant as you can see all of the available selections and have a staff member put a generous portion on your plate. Both of us had fried chicken plus two vegetables, a roll or muffin, and a dish of blueberry cobbler. Everything tasted great and we had more than enough food to eat. Staff members are constantly on the move refilling drinks and asking if there is anything they can do to help. There are smiles all around. The place fills up at lunchtime, indicating that it is a favorite with the locals. We’re glad we gave it a try.

Main reason I chose to have lunch here — it was beside my hotel. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly and informative server, who immediately asked if this was my first visit and explained that they serve the hot lunch cafeteria style. Today’s lunch choices included flounder, fried chicken and beef tips as the meats, plus a good choice of sides. Bread and dessert are included. I ordered the fried chicken with macaroni & cheese, rice and gravy, cornbread, and pudding. Fried chicken was two generously sized pieces that I thought had a good flavor — not too greasy and a nice crisp coating. Sides were good and I enjoyed the dessert. Seems to be a favorite of the locals. My server was doing a great job of welcoming all to the restaurant and keeping things running well. Very reasonable price, and I left with a full belly!

I’ve only been in town less than a week so far, but this is the third«Meat Plus Three» type restaurant I’ve been to in Greenwood and it’s definitely a step above the other two. Food just seemed a bit hotter and tastier and the service was warm, friendly and fast. I walked in and was greeted by a guy behind the hot bar where you choose from several entrees. Today the choices were brisket, chicken and dumplings, fried chicken or country-fried steak. You then can choose two or three sides. Todays sides included mashed potatoes, corn, black-eyed peas with ham, green beans, stewed tomatoes, mac n cheese with breadcrumbs, and boiled cabbage. You also get a small cornbread muffin and your choice of dessert. I had a tough time choosing between banana pudding and apple cobbler, but finally went with the cobbler. The country-fried steak was crispy, though a little«light» feeling. It almost tasted like the steak was ground steak, which is how another country fried steak tasted at another restaurant here in town. Maybe that’s the local way of doing country-fried steak. Anyway, it came with country gravy. The mashed potatoes were fine, the green beans nice and hot(temperature) and the black-eyed peas had bits of ham which was nice. The cornbread muffin was the best cornbread I’ve had here in town so far. Not too dry and had a nice rich flavor to it. The cobbler was okay. The waitress was friendly and did a good job of making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Lunch was $ 6.75 with tax(no drink). I’ll definitely be back.
